Brief Personality- Bristletail wasn't created with a character in mind, instead, a trait: loyalty. She would die for her clanmates (As most would, in her mind) and tries her best to consistently support those she feels needs it. During clan meetings, she tries to actively respond and share her thoughts on matters while still staying within the space of respect. She has some problems with expectations and sometimes feels like she is drowning in her own thoughts. She tries her best to do what others wish and will do what she deems necessary, so long as it doesn't go against a high rank. Instead of being loyal to Riverclan, itself, she prefers to vow her allegiance to the cats within it. If given a choice between disobeying direct orders and helping out the clan as a whole, she wouldn't be able to go against what she has been told, no matter how wrong it is. Despite her undying affection for her clanmates, she is withdrawn from the clan and is not well-known.
Why Do They Want To Be A Shield?- Bristletail would like to show her devotion in the only way she feels she could do it. It would be easier for her to do than a bunch of little things. She would enjoy being the first line of defence, as she enjoys fighting, but dislikes arguments.

Chilly night air filled their lungs as Dawnwhisper kicked softly at the water of Cattail pond. They had made a habit to swim here, most of the time at least, every once and awhile to clear their mind and allow new thoughts to filter in. The comforting silence, aside from the soft splashing of their back legs in the water, was all they needed to hear when Riverclan still seemed to be facing a bit of hardship, causing Dawnwhisper to feel quite hopeless at times.
”Name?”
Shoulders tensing, Dawnwhisper spun to search for the direction the word had come from. It was one, simple question, but for some reason it terrified Dawnwhisper. They could take a guess why, as it wasn’t normal for a voice to randomly begin to speak with you when you’re enjoying a relaxing moment. Heart thudding softly in their chest, Dawnwhisper had begun treading water to keep their head above the lapping, small waves of the pond. “Who’s out there?” they had called out, gaze searching the bank. They were trying to sound intimidating, but honestly they were a bit scared.
”Thats not important, I simply need your name.”
Worry was clouding their thoughts as Dawnwhisper was imaging the worst currently. What if some random cat had come onto Riverclan territory, if that was the case why would the cat be requesting their name? “Dawnwhisper..” was emitted in a low, quiet whisper as they stared around themself, heart pounding wildly in their chest as their ears flickered around.
Good, good..now, how old are you?
Well that was rude! A soft huff of air escaped them as Dawnwhisper narrowed their eyes. “You’re not supposed to ask someone their age,” they had commented, loudly as they had began to wade their way back towards the bank of the pond. There was no use to stay there if it meant accidentally getting trapped had this..whatever it was decided to pop out at them. “But if you truly must know,” Dawnwhisper had continued, hauling themself onto the bank as their thick silvery fur dripped with cold water “I’m around thirty-one moons,” they had said about due to the fact that they didn’t always keep track of how old they were or how old they were growing.
”Alright then, could you describe yourself a bit?”
Describe themself? Did this ominous, seemingly disembodied voice want their physical appearance or the way they acted? Might as well do both, just to be safe. “Well..” they had started, pausing between licks to dry their thick fur. “I have silver fur with black etchings in it, it’s quite thick and a bit on the longer side but I still love it,” pausing, they had quickly added on ” and I have gray-blue eyes,” that was good for the appearance part, right? Well, that was the best they could do for now as they finally pushed onto how their personality was. “As for personality,” their gaze flickered for a moment, as if they were searching for something in the dark night that covered Riverclan territory “I’d say I’m pretty reserved for the most part, as well as I think I’m normally nice, I don’t always do too well with being mean to other cats,” pausing to take a sharp inhale of the chilly air, Dawnwhisper pushed onwards. “I’d also say I’m quite anxious at times, but I still have that kit I once was at heart, I also don’t do too well with aggression..” finishing on that last note, Dawnwhisper awaited the next question.
”I see..what’s your opinion on Riverclan?”
That was a easy one. “I love my clan,” they had blurted out, “sure, cats there are annoying, thickheaded, and even mean sometimes, but I still love Riverclan,” hesitation showed in their features for a moment. “But Kestrelstar is scary,” had come out in a mumble, “when he started going all crazy, it terrified me,” closing their eyes, Dawnwhisper had let out a shaky breath, “and Splashleap, well she seems alright for the most part, but Snakeheart also makes me a little anxious,” Dawnwhisper wasn’t scared of everyone of course, but those specific cats they were afraid of, and to be honest who could entirely blame them? It had seemed that the leader had gone off the rails before the fight with Thunderclan, but he seemed to be attempting to try and make it up to cats and change, so hopefully Dawnwhisper wouldn’t be as scared fo the leader once that time came.
”Alright, I believe we’re done here, thank you for your corporation Dawnwhisper.”
Confusion shot through Dawnwhispers gaze as they had cast a glance around her again. “Can you tell me what you were doing?” there was no noise besides the normal crickets and the soft tunes of birds that came to the territory every once and awhile. “Hello? Can you at least tell me your name?” was met by the repeated sounds of crickets. Dawnwhispers heart sank just a bit as they raised themself to their paws. This had been a odd night and as Dawnwhisper slinked back towards Riverclans camp their mind was only on the voice and the odd questions they had been asked. Why would whatever was asking them those questions require information like that? It was all so odd..

Thought I’d answer this one more off to the side as it didn’t make sense for them to answer it.
Why Do They Want To Be A Shield?- There’s a multitude of reasons. For starters, Dawnwhisper truly wants to prove themself and show that they can pull their weight in more ways than one. For another reason is that they truly want to help their clan out, after the battle with Shadowclan and the still high tensions with Thunderclan Dawnwhisper has been searching for a few ways to help out. Thirdly, they believe they’re not living up to the standards of a certain cat *cough*Blizzardwind*cough* and want to find someway to do that, and they believe that joining Riverclans SHIELD will help them prove that to not only others but themself. There’s more, but these are the main ones I thought about.

NAME
Goose
His prefix, given to him by the late leader Lionstorm when he first arrived in RiverClan at the young age of six moons. At the time, it symbolized how territorial he was, as he'd turned to RiverClan after having been kicked out of his home by ShadowClan warriors. Although that still remains partially true, he mostly embraces it now as a memory to Lionstorm.

Fury
His warrior suffix, also given to him by Lionstorm following a raid on ShadowClan, in light of the ferocity with which he fought.

PERSONALITY
Goosefury heavily values his own power and personal skill, as well as his Clan, above everything else in life. He isn't one to back down from a fight, especially when it concerns protecting RiverClan, and certainly isn't afraid of getting his paws dirty. While he can often come off as harsh or cold when speaking with his Clanmates, he's truly a kind-hearted, loyal cat, and when he's with the cats he feels closest with he can be heard cracking jokes and speaking in soft tones. Unfortunately, he doesn't always think before he acts, and so his actions often take after his emotions rather than rational thought, causing him to be fiery and impulsive - and, unfortunately, leaving him regretting some decisions when he looks back on them later, even if he will never admit it.

Goosefury views the world in a very pessimistic light, which has been dimmed further following the loss of several Clanmates and two cats he was especially close to. His solutions to problems are generally violent, or at least have some semblance of violence to them. He's obsessed with his own skill in combat and is set on pushing his Clanmates past their limits - he's terrified of losing anyone else in battle.

He wields fantastic survival skills, with his nose and observation being among the best, but he's absolutely terrified of water and swimming. He's also constantly on the defensive and his first response to a cat trying to speak to him is almost always a biting retort unless it's someone he's used to talking to.

All in all, although he has a tendency to lash out, Goosefury is an incredibly loyal cat and would never even think about leaving his Clan behind. He expects the same mindset from the rest of his Clanmates as well.

-Goosefury is loyal to Kestrelstar and will obey most of his orders, but he also isn't afraid to question things if he isn't sure. He'll try to be respectful but he can't promise he won't get a bit snappy!

-He was close to Lionstorm and Fawnsqueak, two prominent figures within RiverClan, which he then lost. He's afraid of losing similar figures, and while his demeanor with Kestrelstar and Splashleap will remain cordial and professional, he's also going to remain slightly distant from them.

What is your name?

My name is Fierceroar. My prefix meaning is for the original name my parents gave me and my suffix meaning is for my loyalty and courage that I have given Riverclan. My past names include Fierce, Fierceclaw, and Fiercepaw.

Some basic info about yourself?

Well, I'm 30 moons old. I'm a she-cat with no other past gender. I'm straight but I'm wavering around bisexual. I'm in Riverclan, of course. I used to be a kittypet but then became a loner. I just became a warrior.

Any family or relationships?

I have two other siblings. Last I saw them, it was when I was a loner still. We decided to go our separate ways. My parents left me and my siblings while we were still kittypets so I don't know if they are alive or not. I hope they are. I have no offspring or any adopted family. Junipersong is the only one that I feel close to and can trust. She's been there for me when I didn't feel comfortable around anyone else. She's taught me many things and for that I am grateful.

Kestrelstar is also a great cat that I would think I would get along with if we were friends. I will always be loyal to him, even if his descisions are a bit over the top or not neccessary. We all make mistakes and everyone deserves a chance, just like I was given a chance when I joined Riverclan.

Your personality?

I'm in the middle, the border you would say, of shy and loud. At the moment I'm leaning more on the shy side due to feeling like I'm still an outsider in the clan but I'm overcoming it. I'm very loyal to Riverclan but sometimes ponder in my alone time what my siblings are doing. I've thought to join them at times, especially when I first joined the clan, but those thoughts are starting to go away, especially now that I got my warrior name. I don't like speaking up much but I will definitely speak up if it will be harming me or my clan. It's hard to earn my trust, since I've been left alone but a few cats have managed to enter my bubble and maybe in the future it will be more easier. I'm a great learner but sometimes I get a bit frustrated when I feel that it's not something I could ever do or if I don't believe in learning it much.

Why do you want this position?

I feel like I have more potential inside me. I always dreamed of being a warrior but now that I finally am one, the thrill has sort of left me. Being a Shield would help me embrace and show all that I can give to my clan because they deserve it. Being a past loner as well would help me understand how outsiders are thinking and see if I can use that to my advantage.

RiverClan Senior Warrior - 9.20.21 - Current
As a senior warrior, Birchtrout has served under Kestrelstar and Splashleap's reign as Leader and Deputy. Currently, He is mentoring Fogpaw. As to contribute to other great deeds he has done, Birchtrout has been very supporting to Kestrelstar after his return, but has not fully accepted his apology yet. (That will change with his time as a Shield if he gets the rank.)

RiverClan - Mentor: Eelstrike (NPC)
During his time as a apprentice, Birchtrout (then Birchpaw) was mentored by Eelstrike. Birchtrout was considered to be one of the more.. opptimistic apprentices. He was always on task and worked as hard as he could. Rarely did he ever get in trouble, but when he did, it had to have been something bad. Eelstrike would sometimes describe Birchtrout as ball of blinding sunshine, and a annoying little furball.

Brief Appreance: Birchtrout is a tall, wide-set tom with broad shoulders. His pelt colour is a pale brown hue, almost sandy-coloured with black marbled tabby stripes.
