Upon seeing Gullkit had escaped her, Coldamber padded into the clearing in time to hear Twilightstar announce that Gullkit was now Gullpaw and was now being taken under wing to begin her training.
Some part of her shattered further into tiny little pieces as Gullpaw went up to meet her mentor and didn't see her little no tailed Fizzlekit with her. And now it was just her. Gullpaw would begin her life as a clan cat and Coldamber?
She was useless to the clan, down a leg and with no practical skills to benefit the home that had taken her in and cared for her. Cared for her children. Child.

Gullpaw hearing her mother call to her she came over to Coldamber, she assumed she’d see her mother quite often around camp since Coldamber would return to the rank of warrior, right? She gave her mother a sad smile,” I wish Fizzlekit was with me becoming an apprentice today...“ she murmered

Duskmoth kicked his hind leg rapidly to get the unreachable scratch behind his ear, gosh it was annoying. Maybe he picked up a tick? He'd have to get someone to take a look at it but he didn't wanna seem like an elder who couldn't deal with his own ticks. Shaking out his fur, he noticed the approaching Shockpaw. Great! They were always fun to be around. "Shockpaw!" Maybe his voice was too loud for a conversation during a meeting, but he was too much of a bonehead to think about that.

Shockpaw leapt beside him and flopped onto his tail. It was fluffy. Suuuper fluffy. Always a great pillow.
"Whatcha think you'll find behind your ear? You seem intent on buggering at it."

*Wolf-kit went to the prey pile and grabbed a small rabbit and ate quietly in the nursery and buried the bones and mumbled something about star clan over the rabbits buried bones quietly*

She'd been through that enough times. Left camp to howl and shriek into the winds like a jackal during the nights her grief bothered her most.

Gullpaw gave a small nod, normally she’d tell her mother that she was a big gull now, not a little gull, but she felt this wasn’t the time to say that,” Maybe we’ll go on a the next patrol together.” she meowed. It would be nice going on a patrol with Coldamber.
