The grey pelted cat heard Ferretsnap's call, and padded out of the nursery. "What can I do to help big cat?"

Petuniafire began to worry over her mother who had only gone out for a walk. She sais she had chest pains and needed a breather, but it shouldn't have taken this long. On her way out she heard Birdpaw and moved over. Pushing past to see the body she froze in place. No not Heronflight! In pure shock she moved over to her and pushed her head in her fur. There was no feeling, but numbness. They had come home together and now she felt alone. Petuniafire moved her head towards Birdpaw and saw Snowleap. Poor thing. She shoukdn't of had to find her. Feeling guilty she said nothing. Lost in her own grief she couldn't bring herself to. She just broke down. No tears fell. They were being too stubborn to fall. They couldn't see her like that. Well too late they started coming and she looked away. Part of her wnated to curl up in the warriors den, but she had to be there for her mother. She would of wanted it.

"Hey, Snowy." He smiled back at her before looking around. The first answer came from Juniperkit, with Snowkit following not long afterwards. He nodded at them both. "Yep! They're red and kind of gross, and they hurt a lot. They happen when you don't get your wound treated, so if you ever get hurt, make sure you get it cleaned." He had found that was rather important, especially considering when Gingerfrost hadn't came in and ended up worse off. Did he need to tell them how to clean wounds? Honestly, probably not, what was the likelihood that they'd remember?
He blinked back at Elkkit, having finally recognized the tongue stuck out in his direction. How dare he, How dare. Still, he remembered his other enemies and how he vanquished them. Kind words and good actions. He smiled in return. Kill them with kindness. With Spottedkit seemingly unsure of the definition of wounds, he spoke up, clearing his throat and smiling. "Wounds happen when you get hurt. They hurt a lot." How did one explain that sort of thing? To him, it had been clear. It was when there was blood or something simply felt bad, but apparently it wasn't so seemingly simple. "When you use cobwebs, you stick them over a wound. They keep the dirty stuff outside, and the stuff you need inside."

The kit meowed, “what about the spiders home?” The molly said, tilting her head in confusion with worry in her eyes.

BEASTFLAME
^^^^^^^^
He supposed he should have expected this. The apprentice came rushing up to him immediately, bouncing excessively. And, as always, not saying his name correctly. At least he'd graduated from Beastboy, although he wasn't sure this was much better. Where did Stonepaw get all this energy from? Perhaps it was something that would fade with age. But looking at the excitable medicine cat, Beastflame knew that was wishful thinking. He himself certainly had never been this cheerful, even as a kit.
Beastflame sighed heavily, gazing up at the younger cat with mildly amused amber eyes. What would he do, if could do anything? What an interesting question. The Shield wasn't sure if Stonepaw meant something enjoyable, or something deeper than that. Then again, he didn't know if the medicine cat was quite mature enough to be inquiring after Beastflame's biggest aspirations and dreams quite yet.
"Hmm..." The massive tabby flicked his tail idly in the muddy puddles as he thought. Tiny droplets of water flew up, sticking to his long fur, but Beastflame had never been one to care much for the neatness of his pelt. What would he do? Usually he'd say visit the river, maybe do some sunbathing, but the conditions weren't exactly perfect for that at the moment. Quite honestly, he was perfectly content to be sitting here, doing something more interesting than lounging around the territory. Well...almost perfectly.
His bright gaze turned slowly to the Streamstone, projecting an image of a familiar one-eyed tom standing upon it. "I think..." he turned his head back towards Stonepaw, a little reluctant to share, "I think I would want to talk to a friend." Beastflame kept it rather vague, but he was unsure of how deep Stonepaw's abilities for insight ran. "What about you?"
Stonepaw
Beastflame didn't seem sad to see him. Quite the contrary, in fact he seemed rather happy, or, not happy, perhaps content? Staying his few steps before him, he smiled as he waited for Beastie to respond. These were his favorite sort of days. Rainy and dull, yet the drizzles of the clouds weren't overbearing. They just wrapped him in a sort of hug, the feeling of comfort that came from his fur being plastered together. It took a bit to get used to it, but once he was, it was good. Rainy days meant more cats around, meant he was less lonely, and less lonely he was.
Beastman seemed to take a moment to think. That was something Stonepaw wasn't used too. He was used to just jumping ahead, answering with the first thing that came to mind. The first thing that jumped out of his mouth. He was a cat of reflex, his words were just that of his mind. Beastflame seemed to be different, he seemed to think, a lot. That was probably why he was so grumpy. He probably was just thinking so much that he forgot to have fun sometimes. He could understand that, he felt like that sometimes, but all he had to do was remember that he had his dad, Bri, Ant. He didn't need to think so much.
"Talk to a friend?" His ears pricked and he tilted his head around the clearing, looking for whoever could be the friend. "I think I'd want to sit and talk to a friend too." He smiled at Beastflame for a moment before opening his mouth once more, eyes lighting up. "Maybe I could be your friend! We can sit here and talk about all the cool stuff and be friends and stuff." What did friends do? He was pretty sure he had a few friends, Beetlepaw, maybe, but what did one do with them? What did it mean?

[ this is occurring at a separate time from the current clearing death going on! ]
Russetpaw
A tour? Well, they faintly recalled Pikestar having offered giving them a tour of the borders, but that had been moons ago and Russetpaw didn't wish to be a bother to any cat; plus, they hadn't seen the long-furred oriental since arriving so it was likely he was off somewhere busy. Being a leader was likely tiring work! "I haven't, but I'm sure it'll come in time. The tom I met during my joining said I would be getting a... mentor? At a meeting so I think they might be the ones to show me around." It made sense after all; and for now it gave them a reason to remain in camp (where there were no foxes).
Gingy? That was an odd name. Didn't cats have two names? Like 'Stonepaw', with the 'paw being for that he was still in training; and how other cats who weren't in training (like she assumed the deputy was) had full names. Perhaps it was simply a nickname of his; she'd have to ask later. "He seemed... okay," Russetpaw answered with a soft chuckle. Definitely a bit grumpy, but he had just fought off a fox for her, effectively saving her life twice. It was enough to make any cat grumpy.
How was she? A loaded question for sure, but Russetpaw gave it some thought. "I'm doing alright. I'm just... glad to have some place to call home." That was the genuine truth, and it brought a smile to the somali's face. Finally she would have a place to call home, cats to befriend... somewhere she belonged. It didn't quite feel like that at the moment, but she knew in time it would. "How are you? You're a 'paw, so that means you're training still right? Who's your mentor?"
[ ...I just realized typing this that Russet is asking about Stone's mentor without any IC knowledge of what's happened and I AM SO SORRY ]
Stonepaw
"Oh! You haven't had one? Honestly, I've only been to some places as well. We can get someone to take us somewhere if you want!" Like Beastie, or Snowleap, or Cloudfriend, or someone else super cool and awesome. "Oh, yeah! Your mentor can take you." Who would her mentor be? Hopefully someone cool. The cool cats were the best cats in his opinion, and right now, there were only a few cats who had reached that great place. Like 6- 7, wait, no, more like 8. Yeah, that wasn't very many, but hopefully Russetpaw would get someone cool! He'd put in a good word for them, and hopefully Gingy would be nice about it.
"Yeah, very okay, but very grump. He's fine though! Very silly guy, he is." Gingerfrost was very silly if you asked Stonepaw. Silly, but not bad. Instead of the classic good that most cats seemed to respond with, it seemed that they were thinking. Honest with their words. That was good. He liked that. It meant he wouldn't have to try as hard to figure out what stuff meant. Honesty was the best policy after all. "That's good! If you ever need anything, I'm always around." Always. Never leaving the camp. Constantly in one place. It was kind of boring. He rather liked having conversations.
"Oh." His face fell. "I'm okay. My mentor, uh, she, she's not here anymore." The blood that had appeared days afterwards. Why hadn't she told him? Maybe he could have fixed things? "So, I guess I don't have a mentor either. Ha-ha." The feeling of guilt after the first few days had turned into sadness, and now he just missed her. Stonepaw was lonely without his friend. "But, uh, one of her kits came by the other day! I got to show her a few of the herbs and I think she liked it." Snowkit had made it better, he had been able to what he felt continued Fawnlight's story.

Well at least you had a mother. he put in calmly. Scooting closer he peered at the cobwebs wrapped around the other kitten. I’m sorry that happened to you. I wish I could take your place maybe then you’d have it a little easier. keeping his eyes low he prodded the dirt. Even if bad things happen..it’s kinda nice because when they do you always get to meet new cats. I myself have..problems with talking to others. But I have a feeling that once this is all said and done..you probably won’t regret a thing.all I know to say is just words.. well it’s all I’m good at so why not. his fluffy gray tail swayed back and forth. I’m glad that we even got to meet today. he added in. @jupiter
Venom laced Briarkits tone as she retorted quickly, "She died when I was born. I barely had one. And that doesn't make it better." Preparing to scoot away, she scowled as the false promises and kind words. Liar. Liar. Everyone here was liar except for like... four cats. "I regret a lot." She muttered, head drooping as a weight of sadness pressed down on her shoulders. But not here. She was supposed to be enjoying the event. "I'm glad you didn't take my place. It hurt too much, and it's my job to protect Stonepaw." Pausing, she search his face for any sign of trickery before responding. "Glad we met too." At the moment she was at least. Time would tell if that was a good idea or not.
The tiny kit mewed happily and she ate the mouse, stuffing her mouth she says, “thank you, papa!” Moon gobbles up the mouse when she finished she started to frantically run around giggling and smiling.
( my bad I didn’t know it was my turn till @sol. told me :'] )
Lilycreek just warmly as the kit chowed down on the mouse that was given to her. She was so small... it was almost like she hadn't been cared for. Which wouldn't have been too shocking. Her own son, Lynxkit had been abandoned as well.
She looked over at Beansprout with a fond smile. "She'll fit right in." She said quietly. Moon would have no problems fitting in. Riverclan would give her a home.
As cats passed by, Birdpaw felt... lost. She didn't know what to do. She was ashamed of herself for being so useless. Heronflight was dead. Maybe if she had gotten there faster, she could have saved her. Or at least... been there. No one had been there for poor Heron. The molly had died all alone. And in Birdpaw's opinion, that was the worst fate of all. dying alone. She had been tortured to death, and she would still pick that over a lonely death.
Almost collapsing with relief as her father appeared, she let out a soft whimper, reaching out for him as he pulled her into an embrace, pressing against him. Tears pooled in her eyes, but none left. Because damn, Birdpaw was so tired of this. And she didn't want to be numb to death. She just couldn't handle any more crying. Her body physically couldn't take it. "I'm always too slow. I couldn't save Blizz, I couldn't stop Pebs from getting hurt, and I couldn't find Heron in time. She died all alone, Dad. It's so sad." She whispered defeatedly, pressing herself against her father, she felt a wave of gratitude for him that broke through the sickened, sad haze surrounding her.
Without him, what would stop her from falling apart? Nothing. She would be long broken without her dear father.
Ravenkit tilted his head. "What about the spider?" he asked, "What if it was living its own life and raising its little ones, but then you took that away from it? Won't the spider be sad?"
