Bella could definitively see that he was embarassed and trying to hide it, which made her laugh, he was so cute! "Wow... Greediness sure seems like a problem among the clans, I never about owning a big piece of territory, would be too hard to work with, you know, you own a big territory, but you can't even tell when someone's on it.... Kind of like when we met, I was already deep in the territory, because the scent is strong around your borders and I honestly never thought it had to do with other cats..." She admitted and rubbed against him. "Don't be so worried, a clan can't dissapear like that, after all, if the clans didn't care, we wouldn't be on RiverClan's territory now, would we?" She asked and licked his nose, purring loudly as she was told that she would be kicked around anymore. "I know..." She mewed softly, and she was simply so g;ad to hear that. "After all, I did leave my kittypet life behind for you, didn't I?" She questionned, burying her nose in the tom's soft fur.

Goldeneye laughed nervously as Bella laughed, smiling awkwardly. "It is," he murmured, shrugging. "We have patrols to watch the borders so that no one does trespass," he said, smiling. "The territory isn't that big as well, the twolegplace is much larger I believe," The deputy added, looking at Bella. "You do have a point there," he murmured, smiling awkwardly, "However, we had no idea SkyClan existed," he pointed out, "So they could have been pushed out so many moons ago," he said softly, shrugging. "I suppose you did," The deputy said happily, "And I hope you don't regret that choice," he murmured softly. Honestly, he was scared that Bella would get a taste of what it's like in winter for the clan's and no longer want to be a part of them. However, he would just have to see, looking around the camp now calmly.

Elmpaw blinked," Really." He layed in his moss nest in the clearing, some apprentices from Shadowclan forced there way into the apprentice den,but not him. He assumed he was quite unwelcome from his shove into the kitpool," Soo. How soon will you turn to your other personality, the one that throws me into the kitpool and laughs, like the apprentices do. Which might explain why I'm sleeping in the clearing." He added still slightly distrustful of Fogleap.

Re: RiverClan Clearing
If there was one thing Phloxpaw didn't enjoy, it was change. Change basically messed everything up, and this change was no exception. It didn't help that she wasn't a large fan of RiverClanners- their unnatural love of water confused her and annoyed her, knowing that they'd be perfectly fine if they experienced any flooding. Not to mention that Phloxpaw was annoyed that ShadowClan had accepted the help of the other clan, and she knew they'd owe them in the future.
Phloxpaw liked to perform her duties, and perform them correctly. But the change in scenery confused her, and made her worry slightly. Which of course, was unusual for the typically confident cat who never once doubted whether her actions were correct or not. But now under these circumstances, she worried if they'd ever be able to return to their territory.
The whole camp smelled of fish and wet cats, and Phlox began to second guess whether or not she'd be able to handle their temporary home. She couldn't swim, number one, and she hated water. Phlox also despised fish, and you could tell by the constant crinkling of her nose in disgust. Phloxpaw was growing exhausted of pretending to be happy and thankful, and just wanted to go home, away from the water and fish.
The RiverClan camp was very crowded due to the extra clan cats staying there. There were plenty of other apprentices that seemed alright and not completely weird, but Phloxpaw didn't want to take any chances, and had no desire to engage with a possible future enemy.
Phloxpaw sat in one particularly less-fishy smelling area, her tail swishing restlessly as she looked around camp. She didn't mind much that she looked unapproachable at the moment- she was too tired of everyone and everything to care about her posture or appearance. Phloxpaw began to slowly clean her fur, her nose wrinkling in distaste at the slightly fishy taste that lingered on her pelt, simply from the large amounts of fish the RiverClanners caught. She simply wanted nothing more than return to her own nest in the ShadowClan Apprentices' Den, and to go hunting on their own territory. Unable to stand the taste of her own pelt, Phloxpaw turned her head and continued to look at the crowds of cats, both familiar and foreign.

Re: RiverClan Clearing
@ meraki Golden slivers of light reigned down upon the once-sleeping figure of Lynxthroat, sending warmth through his damp and slightly stiff body. His cranium having rested upon his forelimbs, now craned upwards, whilst his olive green gaze met with unfamiliar surroundings. A single brow perched high upon his forehead, indicating that the tom-cat was rather perplexed. This distinctive expression masked over his face for only a few moments, before the feline finally remembered about the previous flooding in his clan's territory. Striped appendages having spent enough time bathing in the unwarranted sunlight, began to compromise with the rest of his bodice; the tabbied feline soon standing upon all four mahogany paws, his shoulders stretching themselves out. Lynxthroat then started to maneuver his way through the rather crowded clearing, multifaceted globes somewhat investigating the camp for anything even remotely interesting. Their results: a mere nothing.
With a sigh breaching his secured lips, and travelling away from his frame as quickly as it had slipped out, Lynxthroat gave a toss of his eyes and wavered his way towards the pile of prey that had been built up near the centre of the camp. Examining the many scaled bodies, and a few dull brown ones too, the tom-cat eventually gave a disdained snort and trotted off empty-jawed. The strong-reek of fish would likely scar his tastebuds for many moons, and he'd rather avoid such a thing. Nothing could compare to the slimy substances that the flecked creatures left inside of the male's mouth, not even a frog. With his face distorting ever-so-slightly, Lynxthroat gave a half-hearted scoff int eh direction of the sleek-furred Riverclan cats, before he began to prowl around the outskirts of the camp. Hoping to perhaps bump into one of his own clanmates, just in the hopes that he would come off as wary towards the other clan. He didn't want them to think that he would warm up to them instantly, and believed that it would be better to show them hostility, besides their friendliness.
Placing one sooty-brown mitt before the other, Lynxthroat continued with his ambling. That is until he spotted a younger-looking feline, pretty familiar to him as well. As his presence neared the other's, the brute soon came to the realisation that it was Phloxpaw, an apprentice in his own clan. They weren't particularly close with each other. Heck, Lynxthroat had only mumbled a mere 'congratulations' when she was apprenticed. Other than that, he didn't even know whether the she-cat knew of his name or not. Whilst his caudal twitched with a hint of interest, the sturdy tom tossed a subtle glance around the clearing once again; in hopes of perhaps finding a cat whom he was better accustomed to. Unfortunately, the feline failed to spot any other cat who he recognised, let alone knew well. Inhaling a deep breath of air, Lynxthroat continued on towards Phloxpaw.
Announcing his arrival with a tedious glare towards the she-cat who now rested a fox-length or two away from him, Lynxthroat engrossed his hind against the moist earth below him. The sensation of the muck-like substance forced an almost-silent gag to amit from his bodice, however he soon collected his bearings. Swiping his tongue against a protruding piece of fur on his neck, the striped feline attempted to rearrange his positioning, trying to become more comfortable against the strange ground below him. When he finally gave up, now resting with his bodice covering up most of his legs, only his front paws sticking out from his thick masses of fur, the male spoke up; ears swivelling back as he did so.
"Phloxpaw, hey."
his words came out in a questioning tone, yet his usual nonchalance shone through. The short string of words were as monotonous as ever, and the tom-cat doubted that the female wouldn't feel too welcomed by it.

The air of quiet calm about him was something they would get used to, or at least wanted to get used to; stress had become a companion they knew all too well.
As Jasperpelt fumbled through his very short autobiography, the splotched feline nodded at the places where it seemed appropriate to, not bothering to speak now but still communicating interest. The two of them seemed to have some things in common, and although Honeycomb didn't quite feel like speaking any more, they let a slight smile form across their muzzle, feeling a little less numb and just a wee bit more... aware. That was the word, wasn't it? Their tail twitched upon the mention of the border-- there'd been a flood, they'd heard (Or, well, seen. Honeycomb wasn't always the most attentive but the scents that they'd been introduced to, mingling with their home was a little hard to miss.)
Somewhat sympathetic of the fact that he was slowing down, they lightly nudged him on the shoulder with their nose, shrugging lightly as if to say that he didn't need to force himself; they weren't always the best at communicating, but now was the time to practice. He seemed kind, and there was no need to be unkind; they had done enough of that for a lifetime.
They'd let him take his time. It was the right thing to do, they guessed.
|
The ebony tom had stopped talking, but at Honeycomb's light nudge, he felt a little more comfortable. They had shown some interest in listening to his awkward speech, and Jasperpelt coud only thank StarClan for cats like them.
"Um-m... I - I used to like j - just hanging out with very... with very, um, small groups as a k - kit, I didn't really l - like the nursery or anywhere that was too crowded, some - sometimes it seems a little, um, strange f - for me to be in a Clan cause, y - you know, the crowds... and... and the noise, b - but I like getting to know my clanmates, and - and I, erm, I can always just g - go out into the territory, and... oh, I used to always g - go in the territory as an apprentice. And explore. I've found l - lots of really cool places, I wish y - you could see them, they're - cool. And, and, um... ooh, maybe some - someday you can see them! I'd be h - happy to take you out there, at some point, when you f - feel like it."
Jasperpelt's yellow hues seemed to spark happily at the thought of that. Any excuse to get out of the clearing was a good one for him, and he imagined Honeycomb might enjoy the beauty of the place. It wasn't exactly simple beauty, which Jasperpelt had always found to be the best, but it was a good area anyways. Relaxing. The reason he found simple beauty so attractive was because it wasn't overly in-your-face flashy, nor was it hard for him to spend time with those cats. Simple beauty was amazing in places, as well... like his little relaxing spot. It was just a circle of trees, but the sunlight coming through made it perfect. Not to mention the trees just gently waving branches, their bark that was chipped in places yet still seemed to fit together perfectly... yes, Jasperpelt was a bit of a nerd when it came to things like that. His eyes had been flitting around for most of the time that he had been speaking, and thinking about all of these things, considering that making eye contact for extended periods of time was always hard for him. He awaited their response, thinking about the spot in question. He really enjoyed it. The question now was... would they?

Re: RiverClan Clearing
Pikepaw wandered out of the Apprentices' den, murky green eyes scanning the clearing in boredom. He sighed, sitting down boredly at the edge of the clearing.

She knew that the news about her wanting to join Shadowclan hadn't gotten around to every cat yet, and the fact that Goldeneye mentioned he wouldn't talk about it openly made her doubt every cat would be as welcoming as Daypaw and he had been. Still, it would be better to tell the truth now, than be caught in a lie later. Afterall, she was new here and didn't want to give any cats reason to distrust her. "Hi there," Lucky said, her tail twitching nervously as the bigger cat approached. "My name is Lucky. I'm a friend of Daypaw and Goldeneye," she said simply. "I-I wound up in Shadowclan territory by accident. I was hurt pretty badly in a dog attack and Daypaw helped me. I was still really hurt when the flood happened, so they helped me get here." Lucky hoped that would be a good enough answer, but she suddenly realized in her nervousness that she'd been prattling. "Oh! I'm so sorry. What's your name?"

"Nice to meet you, Lucky." Halestar said, sitting and looking the other cat over. "I'm assuming you are feeling better as of late? Do you plan on permanently joining?" She asked, smiling faintly. "I am Halestar, leader of ShadowClan."
The large Maine Coon chuckled faintly as she waited for the reaction of the other cat.
