Re: Fisher's Point
// @ gs29513
The black-furred feline contemplated giving his name, then decided it was only fair since the earthworm shared hers. "Granite," he grumbled begrudgingly. A much better name than parts of a flower in his supreme opinion. He chose it for himself. Never had a proper call before that. "I was here before the fleas came bouncing in," the loner rumbled. "But apparently that matters to no one. It's so loud that any prey could hear us from dozens of fox-lengths away. If I didn't already have a nest, I wouldn't be staying." Really, he wanted nothing to do with any newcomers, but with an entire civilization forming in his camp, that he would eventually speak with one was inevitable. Look here—he didn't even last a sunrise!

Re: Fisher's Point
Peanut wandered into the twoleg ruins, looking around warily. Being the kittypet he was, the buildings of Fisher's Point gave him the heebie-jeebies. 'And to think twolegs lived around here once...' The small cat shuddered. What if this place was haunted or something? Would anything happen to him while he was here?
As the red tom moved, he began to notice there were more and more cats making themselves comfortable by the lake. 'Weird.' He thought. He had never seen such an amount of loners together - usually they fought a lot over territory - but now they didn't seem to mind each other's presence that much. It was almost as if the cats decided to make a clan of their own!
He eventually decided to stop and sit down, and started to groom himself. The tom gave himself a couple of licks around his yellow collar, as it was starting to get a bit uncomfortable. Peanut was very grateful his twoleg hadn't given him one of those obnoxiously loud collars with golden things, or he probably wouldn't have made it all the way to the camp in the first place.
((Open! Keep in mind Peanut isn't an adult, but apprentice-aged.))

Re: Fisher's Point
@ bmkmb
His name was kind of fierce sounding, not that Blossom minded. Names were every cat's choice, they were called what they wanted to be. So he had been here before everyone else. That made a bit of sense, he didn't seem like the kind of cat to move around much. More the type of cat to plop down in one spot and stay there, whether other cats liked it or not. He had a point about the prey, she had picked up some on her way towards the area but hadn't seen a bit of it since. It might become a problem, although she was hoping it wouldn't. Leafbare was bad enough without a load of cats fighting for the same prey. Since there didn't seem to be anything else to say, she dipped her head before mewing Well, I'm going to see if I can find some prey. Maybe I'll see you again! she added, before bounding off.

The tom trailed off as if he was lost in thought, momentarily having his eyes cloud up and paws halt where they were. After a few brief moments, Chief gave a shrug and a small laugh. "But he was a lot better friend once he was dead. I had a full belly for days!" He was sure the sarcasm wouldn't be lost on Cinnamon, but the tom didn't bother waiting to see her reaction as he started walking again.
"You think the mouse howl came from there?" Chief followed her gaze, peering into the dark abyss and trying to make out what may lay ahead. Not that seeing anything in particular would stop his hunt for the source. "Since you were so keen in leading earlier, Miss Mouse Catcher, why don't you take up the front and venture on in there?"

(Sorry for being late, I accidentally deleted all of what I typed and rage quit for a while-)
Cinnamon held her laughter in and hid her faint smile. She was resistant of letting Chief see any sign that she liked him. She had to admit, the joke was quite funny. Chief had continued to walk on, and hearing his comment, she went ahead of him. She trekked on, the ground crunching with every pawstep she took. The shadowy, slender trees seemed to be blowing in the wind, creating an ominous sound. They were getting close to the sound, Cinnamon could feel it. Before them was nothing but darkness. She really had no plan on what she was going to do when she faced the creature, but wasn’t aware of it. Maybe it was because she had a burning passion for action. She didn’t know about Chief, but he must have it too. Craning back her head, she looked at the tom with her green eyes which were glowing brighter as they went.
”So what do you think’s there? Still a mouse?” she quizzed Chief.
Yes, she was teasing him, but she truly wanted to know what he thought it was. After all, Cinnamon had no idea what other creatures lurked in the woods. When you’re a housecat, you only see things from a distance. You can never emerge yourself in the life of the wild. She knew prey, but what about predators? They usually didn’t come near her twoleg’s nest thanks to the smell, but she’d never see any of them. Once she had seen coyotes, howling loudly, but it wasn’t the same howl as this. This was louder, deeper.

Re: Fisher's Point

The tomcat watched as the loner bounded away, and a smirk crept onto his maw. Did he make her uncomfortable? Intimidate her? He could care less regardless of the answer, but it was something to ponder later. The way he spoke, how he held himself. No, Granite wasn't by any means young. He was an older feline, just past his golden years, but not at all less threatening.
Scanning his surroundings, he noticed a significantly lesser-aged feline fidgeting with his collar. Granite disposed of his own contraption moons ago when his twolegs cast him out. Having nothing else to do, the grey-speckled tom approached the red-furred feline. He displayed no hostility for once; rather, he seemed almost intrigued. A very strange shift to someone who didn't know him well.
"Does it bother you?" Granite inquired amiably. "The collar, that is. My claws are sharp enough that I could cut through it." He met the stranger's gaze, then mentally retreated. " Apologies," the loner recalled smoothly. "I'm Granite. I live here, but it seems that some cats are intent on annexing my home."

Wasp trotted through Fisher's Point, looking back and forth between the abandoned structures. The golden tom was mostly a wanderer and roamed to and fro. However, he'd heard rumors of cats gathering in this area, and was curious. Perhaps this would be a good place to settle, at least for a little bit.
As he explored, he noticed several cats by the lake. One, a little younger than himself, was sitting by the edge alone. He strode over in his usual laid-back manner and sat, waving his tail in greeting. "Hey there!" he greeted kindly. "What brings you to Fisher's Point?"

Re: Fisher's Point
@ bmkmb @ Paradise
The tom's amber eyes locked onto the stranger as he approached. He wasn't expecting anything, but what the older cat offered to do left him baffled. "What?" He mumbled. He'd never even think of tearing his collar off! It was a symbol of how much his owner loved him - though, now that he thought of it, maybe taking it off for a bit didn't sound so bad...
"I, uh, I'm Peanut." He introduced himself rather awkwardly. "What's annexing?" The kittypet asked, tilting his head to one side. Before the grey tomcat could respond, however, another cat approached him, introducing himself as Wasp. Peanut turned around and returned the greeting. "My name's Peanut! I heard there was something happening here, and I wanted to check it out." The red-furred tom said nonchalantly, though he wouldn't admit that he found the abandoned buildings creepy.

Re: Fisher's Point
@bmkmb @DaniCalifornia - [oop, didn't see bmkmb's post, just pretend the question was directed at both of them?]
Wasp nodded, blinking over at the other cat. "Collars?" he asked, wrinkling his nose. "A Twoleg tried to put one on me once. Didn't work out too well," he grinned lazily. He curled his tail over his paws. "I'm Wasp, nice to meet you Granite and Peanut! Where are you two from?" he asked.
Wasp was typically pretty friendly, more generous than your average loner. He didn't have a problem with approaching random cats, probably because he made friends easily. He turned his head to lick the scar on his side.

"Your description is quite vague so I can't say if I have. I haven't paid that much attention to the cats here so It's likely I haven't." she replied bluntly.

Her ears twitched as she watched the other molly think, and while the thought she was putting in was nice, the fact that she hadn't noticed them was not good. Hopefully, she craned forward only to hear the words, informing her that no, this cat didn't know her parents. Nodding quickly, she mewed Thank you for trying anyway. before remaining in awkward silence. She didn't want to jump out on this cat who had seemed nice, but she should continue her search.

did you here that pit? It sounded like tiny. she didn’t know if she was going crazy or not but, she had to she just has to have a glimpse of her precious daughter again. Just a glimpse.

A small purr rumbling from his maw, Pit startled with Nala's more excited voice. Tiny? In truth he hadn't been paying attention to anything except their little world, but of course Nala was more alert. Listening he did indeed smell a somewhat familiar scent amid the jumble, although he wasn't certain. We can go look. he mewed, his own voice betraying a hint of excitement as he gazed around for the familiar, brown shape.
