The Jump - A Time Travel Roleplay (Open)

Sky sat in the cold metal chair, nervously fidgeting with her shirt. Her eyes kept darting around, looking at the office that she'd been asked to wait in. One wall was lined with science awards. The others were covered in charts, lists, notes, and complicated blueprints. The filing cabinets were clearly overflowing, the desk she sat in front of was a mess. What if these guys really are crazy, like Mom said? Maybe I shouldn't have come after all...

Too late.

The door slammed open behind Sky, startling her. A man rushed in, his salt-and-pepper hair a mess and his white lab coat flying out behind him. "Sorry for the wait. Small experiment gone wrong. Now, let's see...Sky?" He peered at her with dull, denim blue eyes.

Sky nodded, speechless. Experiment gone wrong?

The man grinned. "Excellent! I'm Dr. Phillipio. Call me Philly. So, you're here for the time travel experiment, correct? Your forms looked pretty good. College money, always a good thing. And I promise that you'll get it once the experiment is complete." He flipped through her papers. "Perfectly healthy, perfect age, everything about you is perfect in this lab." He stood, beckoning her to follow him. "Come. You're the first one to arrive, so we'll have to wait for the others."

Faye entered the waiting room, the burst of the cold air conditioning making her shiver. She felt butterflies rise in her stomach. She didn't want fo be here, yet here she was. Being some nut jobs guiene pig. The 18 year old sat on the metal chair, eyes darting across the room. Faye didn't have a phone anymore since she had to sell it to help with the medical bills due to her mom having cancer. That was the reason why she was here, the scientists offered her money to help the woman who was absent from her daughters life. She sighed, turning to the person next to her. "Hi. Are you worried at all? We are being experimented on."

Oro fiddled with her hair in the waiting room. She looked over to where she heard a girls voice. "Er. Of corse I am.." she gulped.

Sky is led out into the waiting room, where two other girls are waiting. The scientist motions for her to sit down, then looks at his clipboard. "Let's see...Faye?"

Scar, waited in the lobby for her name to be called. She thought it would be fun and interesting. It would also get her away from the drama at school.

Agata waited with the other Jumpers in the lobby. Her backpack squirmed. "Shh!" she whispered. Her ferret, Justice was in there. She knew she wasn't allowed, but her parents didn't let her take him anywhere.
