Sweetkit stumbled out of the nursery at Snakeheart's voice. Why was everyone shouting? Swimming? Like, running in the water? That's how Lilyfrost described it.... but maybe it was something else. "I'll... I'll join! .... If that's okay?" Why wouldn't it be okay? Maybe Sweetkit's weren't allowed to swim! No, that was silly. Why wouldn't she be able to swim?

Blizzardwind watched cats as the all came forward. If they were out for a picnic outing, one of the little scraps would certainly drown. Whatever Snakeheart was thinking, it wasn't smart. Standing up, he stalked over, tail tip twitching. "I'll chaperone." He volunteered, 'To make sure no kits drown themselves' He silently added.

~ Sunpaw ~

Sunpaw had been just coming back into camp from an exhausting walk. Her mentor had not been around to show anything to her, let alone train her. She was just as clumsy as a newborn kit and it was embarrassing. She heard Snakehearts yell, more like a whisper to her, and came running over. Running as in a gallop and then tripping over her paws.

She couldn’t wait to finally learn how to swim.

Shykit padded out of the nursery as she heard Snakeheart's call. She could do with learning to swim. She shuddered as a memory came back to her, that moment back with Orchidkit in the water. She padded closer to Snakeheart. She didn't mind him as much as the other Riverclan cats did.

Lavenderkit scrambled out of the nursery, her paws skidding on the ground as she zoomed out. She skidded to a stop a bit away from Snakeheart, a grin on her face. She looked at the medicine cat, her paw held up to him. "Do you want this? You can eat it if you want!" She meowed. In her paw was a dead bug.
{I submitted her yesterday night so she probably won't be on the allegiances.}

Goldenpaw spotted the kit rushing up to the medicine-cat and
(even though she tried,) couldn't help but frown. That wasn't how
kits were supposed to behave, they should act like apprentices, sit
still and listen to the warriors, maybe sometimes voice their thoughts
respectfully but not just stroll up to the medicine-cat and ask them to
eat a bug! "Don't bother him!" she scolded and reached out her
tail to block the kit.

The brown and white Tom looked up only to see nothing due to his left eye being blind. Singing he slowly got up shaking dirt and twigs from his fur. Gazing around with his one good eye he spotted goldenpaw and padded over to the young apprentice. Dipping his head in greeting he mewed “calm down young one, she only wishes to be nice” then he raised his voice loud enough for the young kit to hear “bring the bug over here I wouldn’t mind taking a look” his muzzle was pursed in amusement as he settled down. Looking up at the medicine cat he called out “I’d be more than glad to help”

The loud yowling woke the small brown tom who was sleeping peacefully amongst two sun heated rocks. Raising his head to get a glimpse of who was speaking, as he turned his head to the unlucky cat who had awoken the depressed beast. After targeting the cat who had woken him up, he sighed as he recognized the medicine cat and got to his paws. Padding forward not being able to see his left side, accidentally bumped into a black speckled Tom. Rearing back he mowed quietly “s-sorry I didn’t see you.” barely audible over all the other cats talking. His ears laid back in embarrassment and his paws shuffled in the ground as he cursed himself under his breath “you stupid fur ball! Watch where your going”.

Dustkit smiled. "I wanna join," he meowed, slight eycitement tingling in his voice.

Mistypaw, even though crestfallen and in a bad emotional state, walks over slowly. "I'll join," she meowed quietly. Maybe Stormtalon would be happy about not having to teach her swimming anymore.

Dragging himself to his paws, Cloudwhisker came over. "I can help," he meowed to Snakeheart.

(Heads up to anyone who follows Iris's development - I'm rping her at this event as if she and her brother had worked things out even though it is to be rped still)

Iriskit couldn't believe her ears. "Swimming!" Her green eyes were wide saucers, a large smile lighting up features. "We get to go swimming!"

She bounded over to the gathering spot as quickly as she could, bouncing up and down in place. Lately, she'd had a lot less to stress over now that she and Stormtalon had had a good talk about things, so much of her energy and excitement had returned to her. So much so, she barely knew what to do with all of it half the time.

"Swimming, swimming, swimming!" She bounced up and down in time with her chant.

Stormtalon made a casual entrance, his striped tail swishing back and forth - betraying only the faintest hint of underlying anxiety. He shot a glance at Snakeheart and nodded. You got yourself another volunteer. It wasn't a secret that Storm prided himself in his swimming ability. While he might not be at full physical capacity (therefore banned from anything too strenuous), he could still keep an eye out for the little ones. Facilitate training if need be.

To be clear - he was determined to tag along whether Snake had use for him or not. Subtle glances cast at a lighter tabby kit bolting forward, chanting about swimming as if it were the greatest invention in the universe, explained why. If his little sister went? So would Storm. End of discussion; despite Snakeheart wanting to keep the older tom a prisoner in his den until fully healed, he should be able to understand.

It...warmed the numbness inside a little to see Iriskit acting so happy. Stormtalon hadn't seen that level of lightheartedness since he met her by the swaying reeds of cattail pond. Pushing the thoughts away, the tabby settled down to the side, quietly waiting for the group to head out.

Featherpaw felt a little more safe now that her mentor was around she was excited to go for a swim and she jumped up an down. "I am so excited to learn."
