Beth walked into the lobby of the motel, she shivered. It was certainly colder than usual, did Maria finally decide to start paying for air conditioning? That meant the owner would've had to approve it. She looked around for Maria but didn't see her. She must be in the back office, she walked up the front desk, clutching her phone tight as she spoke. "I need you to tell Maria.. that.. that.. i need an extra week on rent." Beth backed away quickly from the front desk, and walked back to her room.

Rachel laughed. "Nah, you don't really look that old," she replied in an attempt to lighten everything up a little. "I'm sure this will get you a better career or somethin'. I mean, it's hard work from what I've seen." Wyatt was pretty nice, she hoped the cleaner would find a better career soon. This certainly didn't seem to be the best work.

"So- uh- I've only ever seen a head manager around here. Is there not an owner?" she asked, tilting her head. It had been something bothering her ever since she stepped into the motel. Something was... curious about this. Or maybe it was just Rachel being her paranoid self.
