MidnightPaw. RippleNose didn't know the apprentice he'd been paired with which was honestly preferable to him. The warrior enjoyed meeting new clanmates. Ripple padded up to who he presumed was MidnightPaw. "Hiya, you done any water combat training?"

Gutworm stood, stretching her back as she did so. “Welcome in, you four,” she said, addressing Spiderpaw, Blackstream, Caveclaw and Irisdream. I’d like you guys to make a group together, since we need team battle experience, too.”

Looking around at the gathered cats, she made sure everyone was with their partner before continuing. “First off, I want one partner in the water and one out. Or,” she added, glancing at the group of four, “two cats in the water and two out. The cat in the water will play the role of the otter, while the ones on the riverbank will do their best not to get dragged in. Remember; keep your claws sheathed. We aren’t actual otters.”

“If you get dragged in, your best bet is to try and disengage by kicking your otter opponent with your back legs. This will both harm them and get you closer to the shore. As for me?” Gutworm let a menacing smile spread across her face.

”I’ll be a rogue otter. I’ll visit different groups at random and join in the attack. Oh, feel free to switch roles at any point- it’s encouraged, actually, so that everyone gets the experience.”

Spiderpaw nodded to Gutworm, tail flicking nervously. She looked to the three warriors that had walked up with her. This would be interesting. She felt so small in comparison... She also didn't really know how to swim, but that was fine. Primroseadder had given her some starters on it, so she was sure that she could at least stay afloat.

"I'll start... as an otter..." She mumbled to the warriors, feeling a bit overwhelmed with either side of it... but it felt easier to just be trying to pull them into the water and see how they react instead of figuring it out the other way around.

Wildfoxglove tilted her head for a moment before searching for her practice partner, Asterpaw. She has heard of him but never met him before. Also, she was excited to know what Asterpaw was like. A pelt stood out and there was only one cat left. It was him...

The young molly padded up to Asterpaw and meowed cheerfully, "Hello there, I'm Wildfoxglove. You must be my training partner Asterpaw, right?" She presumed it was him. Her eyes shined.

RippleNose nodded. "Alrighty then, any swimmin' or basic combat trainin'? And would ya like me to start as the otter or would you like to?" The tom asked as he padded up to the waters edge.

BLACKSTREAM
She/Her - RiverClan Warrior - 13 moons

"Aye aye, Gutworm." Blackstream chirped, getting in position with her group.

Her large ears quickly narrowed on Spiderpaw's less-than-enthused comment on starting as an otter, slightly puzzled. Then it hit her. Ohhh, she must be nervous. Maybe she wasn't confident in the watter yet? With a reassuring trill, Blackstream climbed into the water beside the apprentice and nodded. "Sure, I'll be an otter, too." Perhaps the presence of a larger warrior beside her will make her more comfortable!

Blackstream was tall enough to stand on her tippy toes and keep her head well above the water, but for the sake of the exercise (and to entertain herself); she retracted her paws, let herself drop a little, then began paddling. Once she gained poise staying afloat, she eyed Irisdream and Caveclaw to signal she was ready.
