Dustypaw smiled when she heard her name for hunting patrol. Hunting was her favorite thing after running. She went up to Skyleaf. "Ready," She meowed.

Shockholly stands up from where they had been resting and bounds over to find their patrolmates and was suprised to see that they were the first to arrive (assuming they weren't straight up ignoring Wolffang).
They quietly sat and waited for the others to gather for patrol, though they wondered why they needed so many cats for a hunting patrol.

Bunnypaw glanced at the warrior,” Sorry.” she apologized feeling bad about not getting the name. She hoped this warrior wouldn’t just wander off like her mentor did. She wanted to learn to at least hunt, though perhaps this warrior would teach her how to fight, or running technique, or maybe tunneling, it seemed interesting.

Breezedapple smiled. "It's ok," She reassured Bunnypaw. She led her to a flat are of land not far from camp. "Ok," She meowed. "Since you already have had some training - you have, right? - can you show me what you've learned?"
(Just to get it straight, will Breezedapple become Bunnypaw's permanent mentor?)

Bunnypaw glanced around nervously,” Well, my mentor didn’t really teach me much, showed me the borders, so I recognize the clan scents. I also was taught how to scent prey...” she took a sniff scenting the air quickly,” I scent some rabbits, some birds, and a squirrel?” she meowed a bit unsure about the squirrel scent, she confused the scent of squirrels, voles, and mice. They seemed almost the same to her.

Breezedapple was impressed. "Wow! Correct!" She nodded at Bunnypaw. "You're pretty good at that. Now, can you tell me where the scents are coming from? If you don't know all three, just tell me one."

Bunnypaw paused scenting the air some,” well the birds are above me in the air, the rabbits are over there...” she meowed flicking her tail to the right,” and the squirrel is further ahead of me.” she meowed hoping she was right.

Breezedapple checked herself. "Good, good, good. You were a little off with the rabbit, it's more in the northwest, which may not sound like a big deal, bit going the wrong way could waste valuable hunting time."

Bunnypaw gave a nod, oh gosh she was doing terrible wasn’t she,” right...” she nervously meowed, she felt like she was really doing bad because she messed up that simple thing, if she couldn’t get that right, how’d she ever get hunting or fighting. Twilightstar might as well just give up on her now and leave her on her own now.

Breezedapple could tell Bunnypaw was nervous. "Hey, don't worry," She meowed. "Everyone makes mistakes. Now, how about instead of talking about the rabbit, I teach you to hunt it? How does that sound?"
