Oceanstar leapt up to the top of his perch. "Let all cats old enough to catch prey join beneath the Sand Rock for a clan meeting!" He yowled, his tone calm yet authortive as his sharp blue gaze scanned the clearing. Once the cats had settled, he began to talk, "I'll start off with the bad news and ease into the good." Oceanstar meowed, "Shellsnap," the leader paused, his eyes clouding briefly, "Shellsnap has passed away.... due to sickness.... therefore I must appoint a new deputy, beforehand, I give my condolences to Shellsnap's kit, Seashellkit..." Oceanstar meowed, dipping his head as the little feline lowered her gaze in grief. "Seashellkit, and Otterkit. Please step forward." Oceanstar called, once they did, he meowed. "Seashellpaw, from this moment on, your mentor will be Currentstorm, Currentstorm, teach Seashellpaw your courage and strength. Otterpaw, Sandyshore will be your mentor, I know she is like a mother to you, so Sandyshore, teach her your patience and goodwill." Oceanstar meowed, waiting for the cats to all greet each other as he meowed, "Riptidepaw! Bubblepaw! Step forward please," Ocean star called, "I say these words before Starclan, Riptidepaw and Bubblepaw, you will be known as Riptidecrash and Bubblepop. Your ceremonies are a bit early, so I expect you to keep on learning as you go, I'm proud of you for handling the shark so well. Now, before I name the new deputy of Beachclan, I'd like to give myself a bit of bragging rights, Mossfall has just had our first litter of kits." Oceanstar meowed, puffing out his chest lightly as he calmly gazed over his clan. "Last but not least, I say these words before the spirit of Shellsnap and Starclan willing, Gullsight, will be the new deputy of Beachclan." Oceanstar yowled

Seashellpaw padded to Currentstorm, nervously touching noses with the Tom.
Sandyshore licked Otterpaw's ears. Touching noses with the young cat.

SO! I had to skip the Shark event due to Blue leaving the site as well as change a few things.
@/Luna16 Bubblepop and Riptidecrash's names may be changed, just VM me <3 I had to speed up there training to have a fresh start with the new deputy etc as well as me falling behind on some things. So I do apologize for that!

Sandyshore gave a small purr, "At least you know the soft side of me now." She teased, licking Otterpaw's ears. "I'm proud of you, I'm positive Honeymoon is watching in pride right now."

Otterpaw purred, and brushed her muzzle against her mother's. "I hope she is...just like you are." Otterpaw pulled back and looked at her in the eye. "I might just become the best warrior you have ever seen! I hope to make you even more proud."

Gullsight, Bubblepaw, Riptidepaw, Currentstorm, and Seakit gathered at Oceanstar's call.

Gullsight bowed her head at the announcement of Shellsnap's passing. She had suspected something was up when she didn't see the deputy for a while, but hadn't had the courage to ask. As a Sander, she had worked closely with Shellsnap. She knew she'd feel her absence strongly. She chanted the names of the new apprentices and warriors with her clanmates, casting glances at the young warriors to see their reaction. As expected the clever Riptidecrash seemed to notice the meaning behind Oceanstar's actions. He'd grow to be a fine warrior, she was very proud of him and his progress.

But then Oceanstar continued, and Gullsight felt shock ripple through her body. She blinked up at Oceanstar, as though she were staring down a monster on the Thunderpath. What did...he just... It took her several heartbeats to feel like time started moving again. D...Deputy?! She regained her composure in a frenzy and bowed her head at Oceanstar, deeply honored by his decision. If he said anything more, she barely heard it as her mind was still reeling. What was supposed to do now? She forced her fur to lie flat and sat proudly. Now, she followed in Shellsnap's pawsteps and served her clan as best as she could.

So many changes in a single meeting, it took Currentstorm a moment to catch up. Seashellpaw. So, he'd be mentoring Shellsnap's kit... The weight of this sat heavily on his shoulders. He dipped his head to Oceanstar before rising to his paws and touching his nose to Seashellpaw's. He leaned back up and smiled at his new apprentice, a soft and warm smile. He hoped he would be able to help guide them through their loss as well. "I look forward to working with you, Seashellpaw." He meowed gently. "I am so sorry for your loss. I lost someone I cared for deeply as well...if you ever need somecat to talk to, please don't hesitate to find me."

More surprises when his kits were made warriors. Currentstorm had mixed feelings, but knew they would be able to continue working for their names and honing their skills. He proudly shouted their new names as loudly as possible, and he couldn't stop purring. He wanted to run up to them and he knew if their mother was here she certainly would. But he restrained himself, he didn't want to overcrowd them. Bubbles in particular would have a lot to grapple with right now, and Seashellpaw needed him too.

Shellsnap was.... Bubblepaw sat where she was stunned. She felt like she had just seen Shellsnap recently, grumbling because the deputy had ordered her to clean up the sand Bubblepaw had sprayed everywhere - which had become a fairly common occurrence for some reason. How could such a lively cat be gone... Bubblepaw was crushed. She never got the chance to get to know her own mother, and Shellsnap had started to fill that gap in her life. Shellsnap was the only mother Bubblepaw could recall. And now she was gone too...

Bubblepaw was still in a stunned state when Oceanstar called her and her brother forward. Sharing Riptidepaw's surprise, she stood next to her littermate with anxious eyes on Oceanstar. She half expected a reassignment, but to who? She certainly wasn't expecting her warrior ceremony. The logistics of things, which Riptidecrash certainly would have noticed, was lost to Bubblepop. Her fur tingled with excitement. She was certain in this moment that Shellsnap herself played a role in choosing her name, and she vowed to carry it proudly. She bowed her head to Oceanstar, licking his should as is customary when he touched his nose to her head. She backed away with Riptidecrash, exchanging and excited glance with him. Of course, now they couldn't speak until tomorrow, which worked out fine because she wanted to sit vigil for Shellsnap anyway.

Riptidepaw blinked when Oceanstar called him and his littermate forward, shooting her a questioning glance. He wasn't sure what was going on, and he wasn't sure what he was expecting but this certainly wasn't it. Eyes widened in surprise, he almost forgot to bow his head and lick his leader's shoulder. Riptidecrash... The name filled him with pride. Him and Bubblepa- Bubblepop were nearly 8 moons old. But he would never have expected to be made into warriors this early. He understood that his leader was expecting them to continue working hard to earn their names and finish their training, and that the clan needed strong warriors quickly. He took a step back and exchanged a shocked glance with his sister.

Seakit watched the meeting quietly, sitting with Mossfall and her littermates. She brightened when Oceanstar mentioned them, looking at Mossfall excitedly before turning her gaze back to the clan. The meaning of her clanmate's excitement was lost to her, but she knew that she loved all the buzzing of excitement! She purred, bouncing as she chanted the names of her clanmates with everycat else. Squeaking with excitement. She grew more somber when Oceanstar got to Gullsight's ceremony, looking up at her mother again. "Who's Shellsnap, momma?" She asked Mossleap. "Why did daddy say she's...passed away? Where did she go?"

Oceanstar dipped his head to Gullsight, eyes lighting up in amusment as he beckoned her forward, he'd always had Shellsnap sit on the rock just a rabbit length below his own, showing there authority to the clan. Seeing Seakit his eyes softened

Seasehllpaw gave a gentle purr of thanks to her new mentor, "Thank you...." She murmured.

" Shellsnap was the deputy of our clan sweetie. But a sickness got to her and she couldn't fight it off. Hence why you didn't get to meet her. She would have loved to meet you... "
* She looked up at Otterkit now Otterpaw and smiled. She watched with happy and proud eyes. Currentkit ran out of the den and up to Otterpaw looking up at her. She bounced up and down. *
" Will you still visit us? Especially Mama? "
