Blackgaze gave a soft nod, looking down at her paws even if she couldn't see the snow-smudged black fur that made them up. Her ears were down a little, instead of being upright like most times. She stayed quiet, the molly finding it quite hard to think of anything to say at the moment. So, she didn't speak and risk stuttering and stammering out words. The black she-cat found it a bit awkward to sit here in silence and a bit rude to do so as Cloversplash comforted her. Though, she didn't care at this moment. She needed to calm herself back into her strong mental state before she broke into some kind of panic attack. That would be bad, all the RiverClanners seeing their deputy panic in the middle of camp. She would be showing weakness, and as she's already blind, that would tend to damage her reputation. The inky-furred molly looked up again, pale and milky green eyes just staring off into the depths of the blackness that she saw. Still, you could see the emotions in her gaze that swirled and shimmered.
Cloversplash watched her with a steady strength, understanding exactly what the molly was experiencing. After two lifetimes of experience, she had at least some learned how to understand others. "Blackgaze, do you need to me do anything? I can help with you anything you need. Just don't worry, love. You'll be alright," she cooed softly, with all the love of a mother and a friend. Memories were brought to her mind of Seakit and Pepperkit, her own children who had died under the reign of the first evil era. Her ears twitched at the faded memory, a feeling of regret for not having seen the grow, and become proud strong warriors in their own right. She sighed and refocused on the distressed deputy before her, seeing as she slowly began to regain her calm and focused demeanor. Cloversplash's tail gently lay over Blackgaze's, and she bent her neck down, and slowly began to lick flat the fur on her ears, the inky fluff being slicked back. Slow, repetitive motions, soothing and reassuraning, something she hoped might anchor Blackgaze to reality. She finished grooming and gave her another nuzzle on the cheek, and then pulled back fully, straightening up, and adopting a bit more of a formal manner. "Are you alright, deputy?" she said quietly, a hint of gentleness left in her voice. She looked into Blackgaze's pale green orbs, wishing they were not unfocused, and that the deputy could see things, see the beauty of the word. Her ears twitched, and she let out a quiet huff, waiting for a response.

Blackgaze seemed to be calm now, her breathing returning to a normal state finally. "... I'm okay." she answered quietly, calming even more under the soft lick of Cloversplash's tongue. She shuffled her front paws a bit, becoming pretty awkward at the thought of Cloversplash being there for their most current freak out. "I'm alright..." she repeated softly for emphasis, wanting Cloversplash to know that Blackgaze, the RiverClan deputy, was in her right mind. Even if she wasn't exactly, if word got out of her freak outs and anxiety it would become jumbled in the mess of gossip and become a rumor of something worse then it truly is. As most cats know, rumors always come true.

Darkthorn had finished his meager meal, swiping his tongue over his jaws more than once to rid the pieces of mouse fur that stuck to them like whiskers. More than once, his eyes flickered over to the Deputy, who seemed distraught about something, but he didn't dare intervene, for he could get caught up in something he had no interest dealing with. Besides, why would he help comfort some cat when he could be hunting for the Clan, or guarding the borders?

He huffed, a throaty sound, before hauling himself to his paws and twitching his nose. He wouldn't ask the Deputy for an assignment, not now, and he didn't feel like bothering Russetstar, either. So, the black tabby tom decided to take a job upon himself. He lumbered over to the Camp entrance, still sluggish with cold from his earlier dip in the lake, and sat himself down off to one side. He supposed he'd sit there and guard Camp until someone had another job for him, or someone told him to stop.

@fenic!

The birman padded out of the apprentices den, her pale blue orbs scanned the clearing. She had lately been adjusting to her new mentor. Even though he was different from Beetlenose, she was quick to get to know him and how he opperated. She viewed Shalefur as a good mentor. She hoped that she would soon be able to achieve becoming a great fighter, and even becoming a good hunter... though she was afraid of water and wasn't sure how much she would be able to fish.

But she would try to get over her fear of water. It wasn't like she wanted to fear the clear liquid... she just had a terrible memory of it. Moons again, during the time of the floods in the clans, she had been swept away from her parents during the storm that reached beyond the clans. It had been the last time that she had seen her birth family alive.

Of course, unbeknownst to her, her brother and rather had survived - though her father was later kills, but how was she to know this? Willowpaw had been adopted into the clans by a forbidden couple - Sunbreeze of Riverclan and and Littlefang of Shadowclan while her brother and father were still living outside the clans. Though she had decided to stay with Sunbreeze in Riverclan instead of joining Shadowclan with her adopted father, and was glad that she did.

She was suddenly snapped out of her thoughts. Willowpaw blinked and shook out her fluffy head. The apprentice had been through a lot in her young life and found herself missing two of her closest friends - Fernpaw and Daisypaw. But she had no idea what could have possibly happened to them and wished to not let it haunt her. All she do was hope that they were somewhere safe and hopefully happy. She finally decided to go sit in a shady spot in the clearing, despite it being leaf-bare.

A stream of worry still trickled through her, but Cloversplash decided to let Blackgaze be, knowing she was at least stable. "Alright. Once again, is there anything, really truly anything, that I can do to help you? Really, I'm open to doing the smallest thing to help. I... Well, I can understand losing your control," she quietly said, hoping to bring some closure to the frenetic loss of control the deputy had experienced. The senior warrior herself placed no blame onto Blackgaze for losing her restraint; she was assuming that she'd said something to trigger some sort of past trauma, but she could of course not be sure. She gave her ears a gentle twitch, more puffs of snow lifting off. How much was there? It seemed the snow never seemed to end. It had never ceased to amaze her, in all her winters, how much cleaner the white snow made the land, how it gave it a fresh start. A fresh start. Her deep green orbs shifted to the shivering she-cat beside her. Maybe that was what Blackgaze needed; someone new and clean who she could trust. Someone to love and care for her like she hadn't had before. Cloversplash was unsure if she could fill that role, but she did now feel obligated for finding the black molly someone to love.

Blackgaze softly shook the snow off of her shivering pelt, finding the cold seeping into her body from the white flakes of frozen water. She shook her head softly to the question of needing help from Cloversplash. "I'll be alright. I don't need any help." she said softly, letting a sighing puff of air leave her nose. Blackgaze watched as the air that left her body seemingly crystallized as it touched the colder air around it, turning into a white puff of cold smoke that drifted upwards before dissipating around into the clear air around it. She would be fine without help, as she didn't even know what to ask for if she did need help.

He slowly turned his head to look at her, the movement practically robotic. He hadn't realized he was holding his breath until his gaze was on her, and he went to inhale but his mouth was already full. He began to cough, and step backwards swiftly as he continued to choke on air. His coughs were heavy and dry, indicating that he hadn't had much to drink recently. His tail lashed wildly, and his eyes were narrowed in fear and pain as he struggled to breathe correctly.

He was now crouching, his muscles tensed and his haunches were pulled close. His ears were folded back, and his head shook as coughs racked his body. His ribs became more visible than before, basically poking out of his skin with every pathetic inhale. Tumblestep had always been a freakishly skinny cat, but recently, he's neglected eating. Every time he so much as looked at a piece of fresh-kill, he became nauseous. He was still struggling to work out the details as to why he had difficulty eating, but he hadn't made much progress.

How embarrassing, Tumblestep thought miserably. Choking on air. Pathetic. Awful. I'm fish-brained. And in front of Daisyshade! An unlimited supply of words and comments filtered throughout his mind, each one consisting of a word to make him feel bad. Besides the pain and fear that came with the minor choking, embarrassment and anxiety flooded throughout him.

Finally, breath returned to Tumblestep, but that didn't stop him from desperately gasping. His chest heaved from the effort of gaining back his breath, and his flanks fell and rose swiftly. Slowly, it was no longer a race to breathe. ``Well,`` He mumbled, ``That was embarrassing.`` His voice was raspy, still in the process of completely recovering from the choking episode. But there was an ounce of humor to it - the only sarcasm he had revealed in front of Daisyshade. He just wanted to lighten the mood, to avoid the serious conversation that was sure to make things even more awkward between them, and he just wanted to forget about choking on air.

alarm spread across the mollys face and she sat up, halfway. Her haunches and legs where still on the ground while her front paws supported the rest of her body. She studied his face searching for reddnes of the face. Then his mouth for the obstruction of the airway. When she couldn't find any she was tempted to leapt fourth and push aside the awkwardness and pry open his mouth to save him from choking on, whatever it happened to be. Then he took a step backwards as if he had guessed her next movement before she even attempted the action. His heavy coughs where like hits to the chest. She struggled to see his eyes as his head jerked this way and that not making any sort of eye contact.

He now lowered himself down pulling his body and appearing smaller then ever. His ears folded back and his neck recoiled and even his head jerked wildly. Too and fro. She got to her paws and looked down at him, unsure if he required asistance form her. Her tail was lashing with concern while her eyebrows knit tightly together. She opened her mouth and let her jaw hang open. She was going to ask wether or not he needed help. But. He was choking. Un able to comunicate with her.

Should I get moss soaked in water? Or maybe.. I don't know! drag him over to a patch of snow? Force feed him nasty snow cats tread their paws over? should I just wait? she took another step towards him, offering him a paw to help him up. Though it was pretty much useless. She rocked back unsteadily on her paws. Certain about the next move she should make. Do a full fledged freak out and grab geckoleaf? Or disappear to grab water and moss. Or just grab disgusting snow for him to drink. No. Just wait. And if he turned as red as the sun on an evening in new leaf. Maybe that's time for her to freak out.

Finally his cough seemed to give away a slow decease in intensity. His flanks heaved as he tried to drag airs into his oxygen deprived lungs. She released a breath of happines and lowered her head, taking a slight step backwards and sitting herself back down. Happy that this didn't continue to worsen. "Are, are you okay?" she questioned. Her voice silent and soft. Is wouldnt resolve what happened last time, meaning it would still be awkward once he fully recovered. Unless he walked away. Like last time. She focused her dull green eyes on his bright ones and curled her multi coloured tail around her tail and examined him.

Russetstar was tired- deprived of sleep, sick of all the strain on his body- but he knew that he had to carry on. The Riverclan leader padded into the clearly rather early that day, with dreams of everyone he'd lost messing with his head. It was hard to sleep when your mates, kits, and sister kept calling- they were so close, but he never reached them- he simply woke up. Letting out a sigh, the tom knew he had to unwind, though it seemed as if all his friends were busy- Crowfoot had just lost his mate, Blackgaze was busy with deputy duties, Shalefur was probably screaming out in the territory somewhere, amd Whisperblaze... he had his own mate. She was in Thunderclan, and they'd had kits- he could punish him for the relationship, but he could never bring himself to do it. For the first time with Whisper, it was as if he was the one feeling left out instead of his friend- he missed the fireflies they'd catch together, the moments they'd shared. Sitting down towards the center of camp quietly, the tom let out a deep sigh, shaking his head as he sat by himself. He was lost deep in thought, thoughts that he wanted to be, trulty, a part of Whisperblaze's life. He wanted to be there for him when things got tough, to have his back. Congratulations. He thought to himself- about the fact that he'd been the one who didn't pay attention. He'd thought more about Shellfeather than his own best friend- he'd made a mistake. You've redefined your legacy- congratulations. He was a fool not to talk to him when he had the chance.

Whisperblaze kept his head towards the ground as he walked in the clearing. A lot of recent events had come up in his life. Ge had tried to make things work with Tumbledrop, but it did not seem as they would. Her being in another clan was hard for the tom, watching his kits from across the border longingly and not being able to do regular mate things on the daily in secret. They had ended it peacefully, still friends with no agression and Whisper planned to still talk to his kits and ask about them. He hadn't talked to Russet in awhile either.
He missed him so much. The longing for something he didn't know. He didn't tell Russet about him and his mate splitting, he figured Russet was to busy with new leader duties to keep up with him anymore since there was so much to repair after the evil era. He didn't want to be a bother, but he didn't want to lose his best friend either.
Whisperblazes pale blue eyes looked up from the ground as he smelled a familar scent. A scent that made him feel warm inside as he remember how the toms fur was soft against his as they laid close to eachother in the warriors den so long ago. So familiar. This was out of his character, to be bold like this but he couldn't help himself, it has been so long.
He sped walked, more like ran to his old friend Russet. His pale eyes were filled with warmth at the sight of him as they slightly watered as he quickly made his way over to him. "Russet..I.." his voice was queit, slightly panting from the quick sprint but he didn't care. He rested his head on his friends shoulder and closed his eyes and he let light tears drip down.
"I've missed you.."

Honestly, Russetstar couldn't help but feel like he was the cause of all Whisperblaze's pain- as a leader, he was responsible for the pain of everyone, but this one was a personal weight as well. It was almost as if the moment he needed somebody the most, they disappeared. He wanted Whisperblaze to stay- he was greedy, he supposed. He didn't want him to go to Thunderclan, to be with the mate and kits Russetstar never met. He could go on and on about why he needed to stay, really- but a sudden greeting knocked him out of thought, out of his mind. "Whisperblaze?" He exclaimed in shock, his head whipping around to see a familiar face staring right back at him, a cat who'd taken over all of his thoughts every day. "Oh my gosh, oh my gosh- I missed you too- I thought you'd left for Thunderclan!" Russetstar exclaimed tearfully, resting his head on his friend's as he talked.
"You had me worried sick, you know." The leader muttered under his breath, a joking tone to his words which made him sound less angry and more relieved. His tail curled around to touch Whisperblaze's shoulder affectionately as they seemed to be sharing some sort of moment together- a reunion. "You know, if I've got firefly eyes... yours are like the afternoon sky."
