You can try and catch as many as your heart desires." he purred, his tail tip flicking back and fourth, his emerald eyes shone with amusement and love, but flashed with a twinge of worry once he saw his daughter look distressed. The ebony tom let out a sigh and laid himself on his back, facing the cloudy sky, thoughts ran through his head, some were good, encouraging, positive, while others, others were awful, second guessing, disappointing, rude. Was He fit to be a father? This question haunted him, kept him up at night, followed him when he went to go hunt, and he still had no answer to the awful thing, it ate away at his soul, his very being, he needed to know, to be sure, he's already asked Minnowstream, she said he was a wonderful father, she wouldn't lie about that...right? The warrior rolled over onto his side and faced his daughter, his forest green eyes shone with uncertainty and worry, he wanted to ask, he needed to know, but she was too young, she didn't need to worry about this stuff just yet.

(Its fine <3)
Runningkits optics were filled with hurt that she scared the beautiful creature away. She blinked up at her father, sadness dripping on her expression, she didn't look very happy at all. "O-Okay..." She sniffed, not listening all that much, but did the second he said their were more butterflies. "R-really?" She whispered, her tone, and expression lightening just a bit. It wasn't very much...but, it was something. She sat their, watching the sky quietly, a calm expression on her maw. She twitched her whiskers as she watched a patch of grass, eyes shining as she saw it rustle, a small grasshopper hopping out.
Woah! A..grasshopper..? Mama said I could catch it...I'm gonna at least try! Silently, the hopped to her paws, crouching toward the bug, excitement on her maw's expression. This is my chance! She thought with determination giving her energy. With one step, she pounced, landing her paw on the grasshopper, but not hard enough for it to die quite easily, but it did die, somehow. "Daddy! Daddy!" She hopped toward her father, an energetic run coming out of her limbs as she came toward Toothless. "I caught a grasshopper!" A cheerful radiance came from the kit, excitement radiating, and didn't seem all that sad, now, nor did she notice the worry on his face, if she did, she was ignoring it.

Lilacpaw felt the skin under her fur heating up. "That's a pr-pretty name." Oh Starclan, what was she doing?

Petal paw giggled slightly, "Thanks! But yours is prettier." The she-cat cocked her head and smiled, "It's ok if your nervous! That fresh-kill must have been nice, you didn't notice me." Re: RiverClan Clearing
“Do you think I’ll be a good apprentice when the time comes?” Sproutkit asked his adopted father as he looked up at the dark-grey warrior with his curious blue eyes. Ripplewhisker, a large maine coon, only chuckled and smiled at his son. “Of course! When I was your age, I was eager to learn all about the clan and how to be a warrior. I’m sure you’ll be even greater. You’ll make Swallowstorm and I very proud.” With that, the tiny black-furred kitten purred, his tail sweeping across the ground. “Will you be at my ceremony?” He mentioned and the maine coon nodded. “ I promise that I’ll be there to chant your name with the rest of the clan.”

Just breathe," she mewed quietly, words soft and assuring that even if she wasn't now, Blackgaze could recover, pass beyond her traumatic past and recover. Cloversplash end moved to gently licking the deputies head with a repetitive motion, licking the fur down flat and pulling out any tangles that had accumulated from daily life. She moved slowly and surely, trying to help Blackgaze feel grounded and secure. "No one.. No one will hurt you. I won't let them," she murmured softly, almost just to herself. She wouldn't let someone ever verbally abuse Blackgaze- the deputy could fight off any threats that were physical, but she wasn't sure that the she-cat could fend off any more emotional attacks. But with a lifetime and a half behind her, Cloversplash knew how to deal. With all the wisdom from Cloverpetal, her first life, she knew how crippling emotional injuries were. Her first mate, Birchstripe, had been abused as a kit and never been the same. And she wouldn't watch that happen to a friend, not again. After Fogwhisper and Lilybloom, she was willing to jump to the defense of anyone who needed help, regardless of clan or allegiance. "You.. You'll be okay.."

(aaaaaaaa i'm so late replying i'm so sorry ;n; )
Blackgaze gave a soft nod, looking down at her paws even if she couldn't see the snow-smudged black fur that made them up. Her ears were down a little, instead of being upright like most times. She stayed quiet, the molly finding it quite hard to think of anything to say at the moment. So, she didn't speak and risk stuttering and stammering out words. The black she-cat found it a bit awkward to sit here in silence and a bit rude to do so as Cloversplash comforted her. Though, she didn't care at this moment. She needed to calm herself back into her strong mental state before she broke into some kind of panic attack. That would be bad, all the RiverClanners seeing their deputy panic in the middle of camp. She would be showing weakness, and as she's already blind, that would tend to damage her reputation. The inky-furred molly looked up again, pale and milky green eyes just staring off into the depths of the blackness that she saw. Still, you could see the emotions in her gaze that swirled and shimmered.

Lilacpaw kept her sights firmly on the minnow that her fellow apprentice had brought in, hiding her increasingly red face in her chest fur for a few seconds. She tried to look back at Petalpaw, blue eyes studying the cat in front of her. Oh no, did Petalpaw think she was rude for not noticing her? Her tone, however, was light-hearted instead of irritated. She mewed, "I-it was pretty n-nice. Not as nice as you--I mean, your minnow." Lilacpaw's nervousness only increased at Petalpaw's question, her tail swishing up and down. "Um. I h-had a mentor. I'm not s-sure what happened to them, so now I'm just. . ." She shrugged, her voice trailing off.

@ DatDerpz Rainpaw slid out of the reeds of the apprentice's den. She padded over to Firespirit. "Is it time to train?" she asked her mentor, quietly and nervously.

"Yup, guess so?" Firespirit was confused, most of her past apprentices liked to sleep till sunhigh, but Rainpaw had woken just before sunrise, "Where you wanna train?" her light cider eyes looked at her apprentice kindly.

Re: RiverClan Clearing
@TehDerpyShoelace;
Hickoryshine jaunted through camp. Beneath his ginger-and-white pelt, his muscles flexed. He gawked at the elder warriors, a nomadic mass of fur and attractive, fulgent, meniscus-like eyes. He walked past the nursery, bracken like stunted thorns. He huffed, his delightful amber orbs glassy. He feared of voluminous fowls diving down, their cruel talons sinking into his flesh. He then saw a diminutive kit, inside the hollow. Hickoryshine simply adored kits; despite the fact that he believed none would ever join him in his life. It didn't matter, though—the sleek RiverClan tom was peppy nonetheless. He recognized the face. It was most certainly, definitely, Nectarkit! As he spotted the kitten, he purred, nodding his head, and preparing to move onwards, but it seemed as if something kept him from doing so. He then began to move fluidly, but turned around to see the little tom one last time.

Re: RiverClan Clearing
@ Frisk
She was gone.
Birchstep had died in the night, Crowfoot by her side. Their kits had been transferred to a foster mother, to prevent the sickness from spreading. The sun started to rise as her spirit slipped away, the names of her mate and kits swirling in the silver clouds. And like that, she was gone. Her golden eyes, sparkling and bursting with life, had dulled. The moons of trust and love, of moonlit walks in the forest, of playful wintry strolls- they were all over. Hot tears streamed down his fur, and the tom fell to the ground, sobbing unabashedly into his paws. The one cat he cared about enough to do anything for was dead.
They were supposed to grow old together. He was supposed to take care of her, to protect her. Suddenly, he understood Thornfrost, and Bucknight, and Ratnight and Singenight and Blazingnight. It was Starclan who'd let this happen. They had taken Birchstep from him. They had stolen her. She wasn't even 40 moons old yet. She wasn't halfway done. Crowfoot let out a mangled yell before collapsing back into sobs. How could this have happened? Had he done something wrong? What had he done that he deserved a fate worse than death?

It was somewhat a lovely day for Russetstar- he was having a great time. Padding out of his den with a loud yawn, his eyes glittered in the new sunlight as he grinned, standing proudly as he entered camp. However, his good mood didn't seem to last very long as he could hear a pained screech ring through the clearing, his ears sticking up in a panic. Scanning the camp for any sign of unrest, he let out a sigh of relief as he saw that nobody had been injured, though it was still unsettling as he saw that it was a close friend of his. Scrambling to his paws, Russetstar briskly approached Crowfoot with a look of worry- he'd heard that Birchstep had fallen sick a few days ago, but he sounded like something more... grave had happened.
"Crow- are you alright?" The tom murmured quietly as he approached his friend, pressing his tail against the warrior's flank comfortingly. Seeing the cat's expression up-close now, it was even more heartbreaking than he thought it was. ...Did something happen to the kits, too? It had been awhile until he'd had a mate himself, but he'd felt the same thing that Crowfoot felt when his ex-mate disappeared into the night- Shellfeather. "...Is Birchstep alright?" He could tell that something had happened to her- she'd been sick, and his friend's scream wasn't something he would screech out of the blue without any meaning.
