Mistfall went to lengths to keep her coat shiny and clean, often obsessively. The mostly grey she-cat was in the middle of a thorough cleaning session when she noticed a kit on a collision path with herself. The young thing was following a butterfly and obviously wasn't paying much attention to her surroundings. Slightly annoyed by being interrupted, but ultimately deciding that she didn't want to be trampled by some unobservant kit, Mistfall leapt out of the way swiftly and swiped a paw down in front of her wanting to catch.. Icekit, right? the thought flashed through her mind for a moment wanting to catch Icekit's tail and stop her in her tracks.

"It's beneficial to sharpen your tracking skills, but you must watch your surroundings," Mist rasped out. She kept her eyes on the kit curious about what her reaction would be.

Icekit, being the distracted kit she was, did not see the grey warrior in front of her. The butterfly was all that mattered in Icekit's mind. Just the butterfly, and herself.
She let out a startled squeak as she was caught by her tail, landing on the ground. She stayed on the ground for a moment before lifting her head, wide eyes blinking in confusion at Mistfall. Watch her surroundings? She didn't have multiple eyes, how could she keep an eye on more things than one? She cocked her head to the side in slight confusion, getting up to all fours and sitting instead of laying on the ground.

The ferocity of the growl caught him off guard, he blinked processing what just happened now. What was this kid's problem? Why was his first thought to attack? He hadn't even asked the younger tom for help yet, so it couldn't have even been that... or was it? He took a deep breath before sighing "Are you always like this? Or are you just cranky today?" he said with a scowl, it didn't mean to sound harsh but the words slipped out before he had a second to think.

He flinched at his own words but kept his narrowed gaze locked on the kit. His tail flicked as he shot a glance towards the nursery entrance before returning to the kit "Look- if you just tell me what's wrong, I'll let you go AND I won't tell Dawnstar"

It was a bluff, he wouldn't tell on Spiritkit no matter what the kit decided to do. He hoped this would be enough to deter the kit from attacking again and also hopefully get an answer out of him. Though, if this plan didn't work it still had a trick up it's sleeve.

Oh, yes, this was how he always was! He was the best! And he had to make sure Wormkit knew! Make sure he knew that Spiritkit would never be beaten! And oh- what's this? TELL DAWNSTAR?! HE WOULDN'T DARE!

Spiritkit twisted frantically, letting out enraged yowls and nipping at Wormpaw. Can't tell Dawnstar if you're dead! He managed to pull most of himself out from underneath Wormpaw, though it did take a whole lot of effort.

AshStep found themselves getting cabin fever since they haven't gone hunting in a while. They started to pick up sticks to reinforce the walls of the warrior den and to try to take their mind off things. Once they finished working on the warrior's den they laid down near the camp entrance to try and sunbathe before it got too cloudy.

Starlingcall sighs as they walk through the camp entrance. The slight tinge of cold in the air barely makes it through their thick fur, but it does nonetheless, signaled easily by its bright red tipped ears and nose. They turn their head towards the sky, wondering if this leafbare will be merciful on ShadowClan. They twitch their nose, ready to curl up and warm themself up in their nest. Hm. It should clean that out soon, maybe they could add decoration when-?

Deep in its thoughts, Starlingcall tumbles over the resting Ashstep, throwing themself onto the camp floor, throwing dirt up in the air. They hiss in pain before scrambling to their paws, dust coating their thick fur. "What in-?"


When Starlingcall meets Ashstep's eyes, their bristled fur flattens a little. "Oh, I'm terribly sorry. I didn't see you."


Starlingcall's dull green eyes almost immediately return to their usual slits, their expression becoming cold once more. It doesn't even make a move to clean the dirt and dust from its pelt, instead leaning towards Ashstep and tilting its head. "Are you hurt?" It asks.

FREE! FREE AT LAST! Shaking his fur, he let out a defiant growl before being easily picked up by the scruff. He immediately started thrashing again, hissing and yowling. He will not give up, no he won't! He'll never give up! Well, biting was of no use anymore. So what now?

Right! He was a cat. An AWESOME cat. So he'll use his claws! Using his already unsheathed claws, he attempted pitiful swipes at Wormpaw, though it wasn't likely it would actually do any damage. Well, Spiritkit believed it would. And that was all that mattered to him at the moment.

Okay, now what? He hadn't thought this far. The kit was flailing and struggling and Wormkit had absolutely no idea what he was going to do with him.

He considered bringing him back to the queens in the nursery but he wasn't even sure who this kit's mother was. The smoky black tom took a shaky breath through the tom's scruff

"Is there anything I can do to convince you to settle down?" he asked, muffled by Spiritkit's fur. At this point, it was desperate for him to settle down.

Lockdown meant no more hunting trips, which was fine with Hillstrider but bad for his hyperactivity. Stick a cat with ADHD in camp and lock it down? Woof, you were asking for trouble.

Hillstrider was doing his best not to go crazy, he promised. He cleaned out dens, made new nests, even played with the kittos until they were called in by the queens in the nursery. But he was still struggling.

The orange tabby spotted a familiar pelt in the clearing as he was doing one of his many laps around camp (he had resorted to pacing) and immediately made a beeline for it. Hillstrider hadn't seen Fogwatcher at all the past few moons, but Mossfreckle's former(?) nesting partner had always been cool in Hillstrider's book. The warrior paused above the lounging cat, blocking out the sunlight with an equally bright smile of his own. "Yo, Fogwatcher! How's it going? Been a while my dude. Do you mind if I sit?"

Fogwatcher blinked dampened blue eyes as a familiar face appeared in the clearing. The tears that welled -- which he wasn't aware of -- were blinked back, hidden from the overly friendly tom. He scrambled into a sitting position, his stomach hanging more obviously in this manner as he tried to display a friendly smile. "Oh, hey Hill! It's uh-" he paused, curling his feathery tail up over his abdomen as he spoke. The tom was growing highly suspicious of what was happening to him, and to say he only hated it, was an understatement.

"It's going alright. Just bummed about being locked in, y'know?" Fogwatcher stated. The splotched feline would pat the spot beside him, blinking warmly. "Yeah, no one takes these spots anyway," he sounded almost bitter. There used to be someone who would, but not in recent times.
