☄. *. ⋆ Fogcloud
Fogcloud ears perked at the names of kits being called and a smile lifted onto the tabbies maw as they heard Rowankit being called and had seen the kit walk forward and seemed to be looking around.
The silver tabby came out from her spot so Rowankit could see her, and she mouthed, "You got this, and I'm proud of you." They had known of the kits worries about become an apprentice but the new shield would do anything in their power to make sure the apprentice would be protected. @ judas

The younger warrior was a good choice. “Becoming a warrior and having your mentor become deputy on the same day. You must be blessed by Warrior Luck!” he murmured to Littlepaw. Although Cricketsting never met the new shields before, he nodded in agreement to what the soon-to-be warrior had said.

Littlepaw chuckled, hearing Cricketsting's pun. It always made her smile hearing puns and the thought of Gingerfrost being told a pun was hilarious to her. Since her mentor was always so grumpy, it was hard to imagine him laughing or joining in with pun-making.
"You think so?" she laughed. "I like this "warrior luck"! I wonder what Gingerfrost thinks!"

Reedwhisker sat up straighter, more relaxed now that the deputy and shields have been announced. Perhaps after this meeting, she'd double-check with Pikestar about being the peacekeeper in the Clan now that all the shield spots have been filled. But that was not important right now, what was important was all the apprentice ceremonies that would be taking place now. There seemed to be a lot during this meeting, but that was okay. After all, it was more paws to help defend and hunt for the Clan!

| Whitepaw of Riverclan |
Ah, new apprentices were being made, although, it wasn't exactly rare in Riverclan. Honestly, she had no memory of her apprentice ceremony, and she didn't know whether it was due to how long ago it was, or if she just didn't care. Either way, a genuine smile formed on her face, with some time to mature, she did at least find something to enjoy in meetings, even if it may not be ideal for everyone ever.

Re: RiverClan Streamstone
Fishkit
___________
Fishkit had been watching the events that unfolded during the meeting with little interest. He watched a painfully sickening interaction between some warrior and an apprentice which led to a lot of yelling and eventually the older warrior was exiled. He listened as the new shields were announced, warriors were given their new names, etc. His attention was held for a moment when he heard Fawnpaw was missing, but he was only mildly concerned and only because she had apparently been there shortly after his birth.
Now. It was his turn. He smiled to himself for a moment when Pikestar called his name but quickly pulled his features into neutrality. He couldn’t allow these lackeys notice that he was excited. He had known all along that his ceremony would be today, he had waited long enough, but with all the events that had happened during the meeting, he had begun to lose his nerve. ’Today I will become an apprentice’ he thought to himself proudly. He wondered if his mother would be proud of him, or if she would just say that it was expected. Whatever the case may be, all that he cared about was how he’d finally be able to be out of the noisy nursery that he had up to this point stayed in miserably.
Fishkit didn’t have any friends, and he didn’t really spend a whole lot of time with his siblings either so he didn’t expect to have anyone of note cheer his name, or whisper brief encouragements as he walked up. So he didn’t bother seeking anyone out. Why would he? These cats had seen plenty of kits being named apprentices during their lifetimes and he was no exception. Eyes straight ahead, the blue-grey tabby tom walked towards the stone his leader stood upon with an air of dignity around him. He would not be made to appear like a fool for misstepping and slipping or look like he was going to burst from excitement (the latter of which he was). He was going to look badass while he made his way to Pikestar and he was going to accept nothing less.
Carefully placing his paws, he held his chin high as he approached their leader. ’Wow’ he thought to himself, looking up at the tall cat in front of him ’He’s a lot bigger up close’. He scanned Pikestar’s face for some kind of encouragement and his eyes widened for a brief moment when he realized the tom was missing an eye. ’That is so cool! I wonder how he lost it’ pondering for a moment an idea crossed the young kit’s mind, I wonder if I lost an eye if I’d be as cool as Pikestar’. Blinking as he realized he was staring, he briefly cast a glance at the other soon-to-be apprentices around him before bringing his attention back to Pikestar.

Re: RiverClan Streamstone
In his, almost, daze as he began to process everything, look cast out in front, partially listening to the continuing meeting. His ear flicked when a warrior came up to congratulate him, to which he gave a polite nod before turning away again [ @Silvershadow13 ]. Somewhere he heard the recognisable voice of Littlepaw scream out - you could say he almost felt embarrassed (as if that showed), but... He couldn't seem to find irritation in the scream this time. It felt... Different, much like Cricketsting's pun, albeit the usually lethargic tabby didn't pick up on that. He merely looked their way, giving a nod as his gaze lingered on the two for a brief moment before Bluebellpaw came up to him as well [ @SpiritedWarrior @Dirtfur - Thank you ]. He cast his gaze down on the younger molly, giving her too a nod of thanks. Hah, he wasn't sure how to handle all these congratulations - it rarely happened, who could blame him? [ @lonely.lilyx ]
As the meeting continued, he looked back up to the dark-furred leader, most notably when the new shields got announced. A quick look over those selected, and the now former shield chanted the names along with the rest of the clan. While he wasn't very familiar with Raccoonear or Fogcloud (other than the ex-RiverClanner's situation just now), he did recall Moonfrost stepping in with that one intruder; one of the few who had their head on straight during that moment. Thus he didn't consider the three bad choices. Following the newly appointed shields, were apprentice ceremonies. Here it was kits getting promoted, their excitement was often unparalleled (and tiring, when they began screaming or bouncing around).

Re: RiverClan Streamstone
High Rank Announcement [#hrannouncement]Tilting his head to the side ever so slightly, the large RiverClan tomcat watched as the kittens that he had called forward slowly began to made their way towards the base of the Streamstone. The first one, Pikestar noticed, was little Swallowkit. Another cat in the crowd, whose voice he’d place as belonging to Flintfang, was quick to show his support to the young molly. She was, no doubt, nervous as many clan kits often were on the day of their apprentice ceremony. Pikestar was quite thankful though, for those in RiverClan who stepped up to reassure any worries that their youths have. Soon after that, the large oriental would catch sight of Rowankit steadily making her way through the crowd. A tad late to the meeting itself, but ever so punctually present for her apprentice ceremony. How convenient. Seeing the white-and-red kitten peer up at him and mouth a quick apology, Pikestar smiled slightly, nodding to Rowankit in a reassuring manner. He even went as far as mouthing a silent ‘you’re okay’ back to the youth from his place atop the Streamstone. Life was far too short, and there had been too much dreariness in the world lately, for him to get upset over something so small.
Mudkit and Crowkit joined the group moments later. One seeming more than excited, and the other, well, not so much. Pikestar often wondered how this bunch of young clanmates would grow throughout their life in RiverClan. How different would they be compared to now and then at their warrior ceremony? And, as sad as it sounds, the RiverClan leader couldn’t help but wonder if every kitten present would make it that far. A momentary flash of the battle at Firefly Cove appeared in his mind, but he blinked it away, not wanting to ruin such a special occasion with awful events. Last, but certainly not least, to appear was Fishkit, who approached the Streamstone with a look of wonder and awe evident in his gaze. Now that was something that did warm Pikestar’s heart to see. He wondered briefly if he would’ve been the same way if he had been born into RiverClan. Pikestar, long ago, had been named an apprentice at eleven moons old, under Sootstar’s reign. He could hardly remember what that time had been like, hardly being the same cat now that he was back then. Oh well.
“Swallowkit, Rowankit, Mudkit, Crowkit and Fishkit.” Pikestar spoke firmly as he blinked at each of the kittens before him, his voice full of pride and warmth, “You have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Swallowpaw, Rowanpaw, Mudpaw, Crowpaw and Fishpaw.” He paused for a long moment, to let the young ones relish in the joy of their brand new names before moving onto the next important part of the ceremony: assigning mentors. Picking out the right cats to shape the young minds of their next generation was no easy task, surely, especially considering how many apprentices were probably going to step up for a reassignment soon enough. However, the large RiverClan tomcat would be sure to not let his clanmates down in that regard in making sure that was taken care of.
“Flintfang ( @Kat ), you will be the mentor of Swallowpaw ( @maple. ). I expect you to pass on all you know to her.” He meowed, having no trouble at all finding the silver-furred tomcat in the crowd. Seeing them interact only moments before, Pikestar felt like the warrior could make a fine impression on the quiet young molly and steer her in the right direction. If not, well, he only had himself to blame. Next, the dark-furred oriental’s partial gaze found the familiar dark brown pelt of his honorary ‘peace-keeper’ of RiverClan. “Reedwhisker ( @SpiritedWarrior ). You were a fine mentor to Nightpaw before she left us to join our ancestors among the stars. I am choosing you to be a mentor once again, this time to young Rowanpaw ( @judas ).” The stars were ever so cruel to this warrior, for taking an apprentice so soon from her, and from RiverClan. So Pikestar would grant a second chance to Reedwhisker. Another chance to be the mentor he believed she could be if given the opportunity to prove herself. Only time would tell though.
“Shatteredsun ( @Shinestripe ), I believe you are ready to take on an apprentice of your own.” He remarked, nodding his head to the black-and-gold tabby tomcat, “You will be the mentor of Mudpaw ( @FredTheFrog ).” The RiverClan leader kept his gaze on the warrior for a moment, almost like he was silently telling Shatteredsun to not let him down. Pikestar had a hard enough time dealing with lazy incompetent clanmates. Moving forward, he’d find his sister among the sea of clanmates below, blinking at the gray-furred shield briefly, attempting to warn her beforehand what was about to occur. “Raccoonear ( @reindeer lane ), you’ve been a loyal, hard-working warrior to RiverClan for many moons, and now that you’ve returned to us, I believe it is finally time for you to have an apprentice. I am entrusting you to teach young Crowpaw ( @Flea ) all that you know.” It was ceratinly a unique choice on his part, but Pikestar stuck by it, wanting to see where such a pairing could lead. He had already made the obvious decisions at this meeting, so the tall tom had to make things a bit interesting.
“And to finish up today’s apprentice ceremonies… Cricketsting ( @Dirtfur ), you will be mentoring Fishpaw ( @Darkclaws ).” Pikestar meowed, peering over in the cream-colored warrior's direction, “I am shore you will have no problem teaching him all that you know, puns included.” Stars above, that was the last time Pikestar attempted to make a joke in front of the majority of RiverClan, because now he just felt absolutely dumb. He doubted anyone would catch it anyway, so he took a deep breath and allowed himself to relax for a moment. "Let us all welcome these new apprentices into our ranks!" The long-furred oriental tom exclaimed, deciding to try something new, "Swallowpaw! Rowanpaw! Mudpaw! Crowpaw! Fishpaw!" Pikestar lead the chant of these newly-promoted clanmates, his voice carrying all through camp as they'd (hopefully) go to sit with their chosen mentors.

Re: RiverClan Streamstone
Seedheart cheered loudly for the new apprentices, remembering her own ceremonies that had taken place many leaf-falls ago in Windclan. She gave a small snort at Pikestar's joke, cringing slightly, but her eyes shone in bright admiration for the leader. Seedheart couldn't imagine how hard it had been for the cat, losing Fawnpaw, his sibling and medicine cat, as well as the overwhelming duties of being leader.
Yet, he carried on so strongly and made the best decisions for his clan. The tom truly was amazing at his job, and Seedheart knew he would be a respectful leader and someone young cats could look up to for many seasons.
Seedheart also made a mental note to congratulate her adopted son in becoming a mentor. He looked so excited! She knew he would do a wonderful job.
There were so many kind and amazing cats in Riverclan, and Seedheart was glad to be amongst them.
[ obviously not going to mention you Zen, but this is a thank you to you as well! You work so hard, and we really do appreciate it <3
mentioning @Dirtfur for the cricketsting mention !! ]

Mintpaw sat silently at the back of the crowd, listening carefully to Pikestar's words and observing with patience as every kit received their apprentice name. Concern flashed in her eyes as she realized that the apprentices' den would be even more crowded from tonight on, and she would probably have to push her nest more to make space for the ner arrivals. So much to do. So many shells, pebbles, and reeds to carry with attention.

Re: RiverClan Streamstone
Troutstone had to hold back a mew of laughter at Pikestars pun. He loved puns, and having cats around would just make it better. He might have to spend some time with Cricketsting, he might learn a thing or to.
When the clan leader started cheering out the new apprentices names, Troutstone joined it. "Swallowpaw! Rowanpaw! Mudpaw! Crowpaw! Fishpaw!" StarClan, that was a paw-full.

Re: RiverClan Streamstone
Bluebellpaw listened to her leader, allowing for a giggle or two to escape her at Pikestar's joke. Dad jokes, really? Ryehawk would never.
She cheered loudly for the apprentices, wanting to go up to greet them, but forcing herself to stay still as a nagging feeling pressed itself into her skull.
Uh oh, did Pikestar forget to reassign her a mentor?
She frowned a little. Be patient, he probably is gonna do reassignment after. Though, if he did forget, Bluebellpaw would mind too much; he had a lot to do afterneeds.
Lilycreek and Kestrelpaw chanted the apprentices' name but don't get screentime because they're dorks.
