Dog paws final assessment
Foxblaze padded into the training area, “Alrighty Dogpaw, ready for your final assessment?”
@ Lynxpaw ( @ BILL. So you can keep track, I’ll @ you again when it’s done although it’ll be pretty quick.)

Re: Dog paws final assessment
Dogpaw followed Foxblaze into the training arena. He nodded, wondering what he was being tested on first.

Re: Dog paws final assessment
“For your assessment you’ll be hunting and fishing!” Foxblaze exclaimed, she would have preferred battle training but.... she felt really tired at the moment.

Dogpaw nodded and paused to scent the air. His ears swiveled around, straining to catch the sounds of scrabbling claws. As soon as he tracked the scent of a vole, he began to follow it, stalking carefully towards a bush. He just needed to get around. Once in his sight, he pounced, trying to catch the brown creature. He landed and quickly snapped it's neck. Feeling it go limp under him, he picked it up and headed back to Foxblaze.

“Good job, keep going!” Foxblaze offered in encouragement.

Re: Dog paws final assessment
Dogpaw nodded, his eyes shining at the praise. He quickly tracked down another vole close to some tree roots. He crouched, moving slowly towards it. He placed one paw in front of the other, careful not to make a sound. He saw a leaf fall to the ground and he paused, worried it would direct the creature's attention towards him. He quickly leaped, breaking it's neck easily. He heard the snap, felt it go limp under his black paws. He picked it up made his way back to the training hollow. He stepped on a stick and heard it snap under his paw. He dropped the vole in the training hollow. "Fishing next, right?" he asked Foxblaze, ready to catch some fish.

Re: Dog paws final assessment
Dogpaw quickly buried the two voles and headed towards the stream. Fishing. Great. He sat by the water, careful of his shadow. He stared at the murky, dark liquid hungrily lapping at the shore. His copper eyes caught a shadow and he tensed, ready for it to pop up. As soon as he saw the scaly head emerge from the water, he lashed out, catching it with his claws and dropping it onto the shore. He quickly crouched and delivered the killing bite and felt it go still. He sat back up, looking at the fish. A salmon. He turned to look at Foxblaze.

“OOOO! Salmon are the best!! Here keep going, I’ll bury this.” Foxblaze said as she began digging a shallow hole.

Dogpaw turned back to the murky water, his eyes quickly finding a shadow. He paused and waited for it to emerge. He lashed out as soon as he saw the slippery head, launching it onto the shore next to him. He quickly delivered the killing bite.
