As soon as the dust settled and he was over the Thunderpath, Falcondive had to take a moment to regain his breath and collect his thoughts.

Icestar was dead. Beastspark was as good as dead. Hailstorm was a wanted criminal. ShadowClan would be up in flames by nightfall.

So why did he feel so.. so.. unsatisfied? Angry.

Everything he had worked for was for nothing. All the abuse he endured, the schemes and the deception, was meaningless. Having his plans be ripped away from him because Hailstorm was a cornered rat pissed him off. Useless. Useless. Useless.

His claws ripped across the ground, leaving deep score marks in the earth as he whirled around with a snarl. There was no other emotion Falcondive knew how to process, at least right now-- he was furious, and he needed to take it out on something. Someone.

Anyone.

Frustration poured through Taffeta. Her pelt itched as she thought about the fact she'd been driven from her den.
And by what, bugs?

She huffed and marched on, giving little thought of where she was going, not realizing her paws were meandering near the clans again. She seemed to have a habit of running to those clanners.
She inhaled deeply before letting out an growling exhale, when the scent of another cat caught her attention.
She began looking for the cat that offended her nose.

Perhaps Taffy should have stayed with the bugs.

The sound of nearby pawsteps was all it took for Falcondive to thrash around once more, facing the direction the other outsider was coming from. When she came into his sight, he lunged.

Claws outstretched and fangs bared, he aimed to slam directly into her and send Taffy crashing into the ground.

With a hiss, Taffeta leapt right back at Falcondive, not thinking to jump elsewhere to escape, instead leaping in head on.
Despite living on her own her whole life, she was smaller overall than the other cat, who was likely bred and raised for battle. She survived by her wits and ingenuity whenever possible.
Fighting like this was new to her and she a fool for thinking this would go well.

Leaping head on was an interesting tactic.. probably not very effective?

They collided in air, but Falcondive's weight gave him more of an advantage. Barely phrased as they came down to the ground, he instantly reached to snap his fangs down onto Taffeta's shoulder - the closet thing he could grab in short notice.

Taffeta caterwauled in anger as his fangs slid into her flesh, clacking and scraping against the bone. She turned to headbutt him, hoping even one of his teeth would chip at the force.
If nothing else, she could always latch onto something soft, something sensitive on his face until he let go.

Crack.

Falcondive's head exploded in pain when her head whipped into his, effectively snapping the tip of one of his canines into her bone. He was confused, recoiling instantly from her shoulder. Even as some of the pain ebbed away, his mouth hurt like hell - and he did not quite understand why. Did he bite his tongue?

Shrugging that aside, he kept his mouth lightly parted to avoid putting pressure on.. whatever was wounded. The pain would go away eventually, he was sure. In the meantime, he growled at the she-cat and hurled several blows her way, aiming to puncture her shoulder, her side, her neck. At this point, it was beyond the desire to beat her. He wanted to pulverize her, to pound her into the ground until she was little more than fur paste.

One of them would not make it out of this, and he was resolved to not let her escape.

As soon as the other cat let go, she leapt backwards, though not as far as she would have liked with her frelled shoulder, and the first two swipes barely whipped past her, but the last one gripped into her cheek and shredded the flesh, almost to the inside of her mouth.
Well, ouch.
She wouldn't do well in a show of strength, so hopefully she could out maneuver or outwit him. She looked for something she could scale up the side of, to drop onto him or, if he followed suit, to give her smaller stature the advantage.

While she was distracted looking, Falcondive went for her once again.

There was some distance between them, and he came at her from her side, aiming to tackle her. Once she was down, he thought he would be in control - able to shred her as he liked.
