"Come one, come all, to our first ever.. Turkey Hunt!" Lionstorm's voice was a yowl as he whipped through camp, wasting no time in heading out into the territory. "If you follow me, I'll tell you how this is going to work."

And he stopped only when they reached the edge of Cattail Pond's field. "Everyone, take a second to look around. This will be the beginning of our chase - our pursuit, for a meal unlike any other. Just beyond this grass is a flock of turkeys, ready to be preyed upon.

"I know what some of you are thinking.. 'what ARE turkeys? I've never heard about them!' They're big birds, very tasty, and they hardly fly. They can hurt cats though, so I want you to partner up. If you can't find a bird-slaying buddy or two, I will assign you one.

"It should be simple to hunt with your hunting pal - you can go about it any way you'd like, but the goal is to kill a turkey. This will be optimal training for apprentices and good experience for warriors. You'll also get to bring back some dinner to the Clan."

Lionstorm narrowed his eyes as distant fluttering rustled the bushes across the clearing. "Take a minute to get a buddy, and I will tell you when we'll start."

Larkstripe perked his ears and listened in interest, padding forward. A turkey? He has heard of these birds before—like giant pheasants. Difficult quarry, but capable of feeding several cats. He twitched his tail in anticipation, awaiting Lionstorm’s instructions.

Mosspaw smiles, lifting his head. He'd never caught a bird before, so he's pretty excited to try his hand at getting one. He'd never seen or heard of a turkey before, though- he just hoped it would be worth it.

Tail swishing in excitement , Feathermask looked around for a partner . She's never heard of turkeys but boy did Lionstorm make them sound tasty! She spotted an apprentice and hummed to herself only to pad over to them "hey kid , need a partner ? " she offered with a happy smile. This'll also be a great chance for her to take charge ! She can show Sootstar that she's capable of having an apprentice and besides perhaps she can make a buddy .
