Event [#event]

This event is open for the apprentices and warriors of RiverClan. This event will count as a single combat training experience for any apprentices who take part.

Lionstorm. Fawnsqueak. Peonypaw. Petuniaflame.

Four lives had been taken because of ThunderClan. Their crimes would not go unpunished, and Goosefury would be the one to see that they suffered for their actions. The one-eyed tom paced the camp restlessly, tail lashing and muzzle rippling in the beginnings of a snarl, as he thought of all the things he could do to make those monsters pay.

Of course, he could always simply camp out at the border and lie in wait for any unfortunate ThunderClanner's to appear and then take them out, but that would take too long, too much effort for one single life. And then eventually they would stop visiting the border, and anymore chance at revenge would be gone.

No, that wouldn't do. What he needed was an army. A flood of loyal RiverClan cats willing to kill in order to destroy the storm when the time for battle came. He had those cats, right here in camp - all they needed now was the guts and the skills to do it.

With one final, decisive flick of his tail, Goosefury pulled away from the camp wall and strode to the center of the camp, where he stood with his brows furrowed and his shoulders squared. "RIVERCLAN! I'm heading down to Lionsbeach to train and the rest of you could use a couple rounds of sparring as well. I'd like some of you to come with me to hone our skills. When the fight with ThunderClan comes, I want all of us to be ready." The open stretch of beach would provide plenty of space, and the shallower waters of the ocean would wash away any blood that was dawn. A perfect spot.

The current state of RiverClan terrified her, but Olivenose wouldn't back down! She was a loyal warrior, dedicated to fighting and serving her Clan! Sure, Kestrelstar seemed a bit... off these days, but stress would do that to anyone! And besides, Goosefury was right. A lot of warrior could really use the training event to hone their skills - at least the white furred molly knew she could.

"Jackdawblaze!" she called out in search of her brother, wanting to rope him into this. He hadn't been present in the last few events, and she was beginning to worry over home. What if he ended up hurt in the battle? Olivenose couldn't have that, so she weaved in and out of the group in search of her brother.

Their heart dropped, ears perking as they listened. A battle? they didn’t agree with the degree Kestrelstar had made, but if there was to be a battle. Sighing, they stood up, padding over to Goosefury.

Nodding at him, they waited as other cats came to join. If a battle was going to happen, they were going to be prepared.

A training event? Perfect. Spiderstorm was ready to throw some paws and train her ass off. They'd taken four lives; four too many. She'd been busy wallowing in her sorrow, but that ended today. Her sad gave way to anger and that was her main motivation -- get good enough to get her sweet, sweeeet revenge. That ThunderClan trash wouldn't know what was coming to 'em.

Wormbite's ears perked up at the sound of Goosefury's voice. The Dark Lord didn't take more than a second to the join the crowd. He had no doubt that he was most likely rusty with his battling skills after his time away from home. Not to mention with the recent announcement there was a familiar rage overflowing from the tom. He was grateful for the event. Thunderclan was going to pay in blood for what they did. Wormbite would assure that fact.
