Well, I've been wanting to write this story for a while now.

I have a bit of a dilemma

I can't exactly come up with a plot, and my worldbuilding skills aren't the greatest.

I want to write a book, maybe a series, directed at middle school audeinces, much like Warriors' target audience.

I have several things that I'd like feedback on, and I wanted to turn this into a roleplay for the sake of character building.

SO. What's the story about?

What I have in mind, is that it's a fantasy book / series starring a (possibly transgender female?) faun named Artemis, and an owl-like humanoid creature named Athena.

So if you all know about Greek mythology, that's kind of where their names came from, but I wasn't thinking this would be completely Greek-inspired.

I debated Norse mythology / Celtic mythology, and then Japanese mythology, changing Artemis' species to a kirin, or Japanese unicorn. Since lanterns are big in Japanese culture. Plus, I wanted to include a foxlike character, like a kitsune... and those are huge in Japanese mythology.

So about the lanterns!

Thinking they're like these mythological artifacts that keep peace in the world, and must be guarded.

So maybe these lanterns go out.. and the three comrads go on a quest to light them again?

Anyway. I'd be delighted if yall would be interested in helping me out with this in the form of rp.

It's implied that the two main characters, the owl and the faun, are basically taken, Athena definitely. If you want the role of Artemis perhaps, you can tell me in a VM. (Please don't PM me, thanks.)

Characters, so far, have limited magical abilities, and have animal characteristics but arent full on animals. They're closer to humans than anthropomorphic animals.

How active are ya? = I’m online almost every day and almost always have time for responses and the like. I won’t be active during the day until around 2:30 PM EST due to school, but other than that (and sleep + homework ;w; ), activity shouldn’t be greatly hindered.

Any ideas right off the bat? = I’d like to help develop the world alongside you and write a bit, if that aligns with your concept of this “god” role. My immediate thoughts are to make this more accessible to you, as you said you’ve been wanting to write this story for a while. I know the pains of planning (this upcoming NaNoWriMo’s plotting is proving a bit more difficult than I anticipated, haha), but I feel like a fresh mind on the concept might be able to help out!

Any questions / comments / concerns? = Where will we be writing this (Google Docs, Word, etc.)? How best can I reach you about it? Further queries are more centered around the story itself, so I’ll hold off on elaborating until I’m (hopefully) accepted. Thank you for your time!

How active are ya? = on weeekdays im mostly active after 5:00 but if i get notifications before that time i most likely will leave short responses. on weekends im active all day and night. [due to covid im not in school for a couple days so i'm super active]

Any ideas right off the bat? = I am brainstorming alot of things as im typing, but here's one idea that came to mind: There's a major outbreak of crimes, bad luck, ect. one of the MC's are walking along a rode a see's an old lady in need. [insert main character] helps the lady and the lady gives [insert main character] a scroll. the scroll contain a profecy and before the [insert main character] can say anything, when they look up the lady is gone. Of course if im picked this will prob change alot as i infer that ill be on a team but yup thats what came to mind!

Any questions / comments / concerns? =Question! will be like a whole plot making team? Comment! i have a bunch more plot ideas but i didnt want this to be too long:^

All of this looks awesome! And yeah, if enough people show interest, I could form a team of some kind, guessing maybe about 3-4 people at most.

Any ideas right off the bat? = I have some experience in the writing department as i want to be a author when i grow up, so i'd figure i could try my skills out alongside you (and other fellow writers) to make this possible. I always seem to have ideas for books, but never jot them down on paper.
Any questions / comments / concerns? = It might be difficult to get a hold of me if you don't have a clock set on your device with China timezone so you could know when i'm boostin' on here, or i'm sleeping like a log.
