A Shade of Rain meets a Heart of Shore. ~P~

Shoreheart was waiting for Rainshade to return from his patrol. She wanted to talk to him. She hoped he would understand. She watched the camp entrance but found he did not return for awhile. Defeated she got up and padded into the warriors den tears in her eyes.

Rainshade walks into camp, his tail lowered. He dismisses the other cats, him still holding the feathers and moss for his - and other's - nests. He goes into the den and stops. No one other than Shoreheart is there and she doesn't look too happy. "Hey, everything okay, Shoreheart?" He asks her, remembering her name because it's the name that Seaclaw had told him his sister was named.

Shoreheart looks up and notices Rainshade. " F-fine " She mews. Something seems to of made her sad, or someone. She lays her head back down. " J-just t-thinking a-about m-my c-crush... " She mews.

"Oh, same here." He says, shrugging. He places the bedding down beside her, a pang of anger shooting through him that she also has a crush. He bets anything that the cat isn't him. "Would you like some bedding?" He asks, his voice going cold.

" No, I'm good. " Shoreheart mewed " You went out on patrol with my brother yes? My crush was on your patrol. " She mewed as she laid her head down.

"Yeah, it was Seaclaw, Splitpad and I." He murmurs, now realizing the cat that Shoreheart is talking about is Splitpad. That cat who can love no one.
Welp, what's he supposed to do now? 'Kill Splitpad.' He thinks to himself.

* She again lets out a mew. *
" My crush is y-you R-rainshade... "
* She purrs lightly and lays her head back down. *

Rainshade stills. His eyes widen and he almost falls over, staring at her. "R-r-r-really?" He stammers, looking at his slightly large paws.

" Y-yes you are. "
* She stands up and starts to pad away. *
