Hello! So it has recently come to my attention that Laurelkit has reached the age of four moons old! Which means that I would like to start a little plot I have been thinking up for her for a bit now.

 

Essentially, Laurelkit at this point will be growing more and more jealous that Fallownose took Hickorykit out of camp to explore (and if anyone tries to convince her otherwise she will call them a liar!* *disclaimer: he did not actually take Hickorykit out of camp, Laurelkit is just dead set on that being what happened hehehe). She will want to know what lies beyond the camp walls herself. With her mother resting in the quarantined area for the cats sick with Whitecough, her brother busy with other kits, and Fernpaw out training, Laurelkit will take it upon herself to venture outside and bring back some herbs to help her mother heal - and also show Fallownose that she should've been taken out of camp as well!

Of course, she won't really know what anything is, and since she has never been further than just outside the nursery she will end up getting quite lost and unable to retrace her steps. But she decides to not be scared and instead continues her hunt for any plants that will help heal her mother. Unfortunately, she follows her (untrustworthy) nose close to the new ShadowClan border and is spotted by Owlhum. Laurelkit does not notice them at first and goes about her business, accidentally crossing the border markings (chalking up the weird smell to the changing of the weather). Owlhum hurries over and instead of immediately chasing her off tries to make her see that they're friendly.

After a bit, Laurelkit still greatly unaware that this is a ShadowClan cat (whether they chose to reveal that or not is up to them!), she tries to convince Owlhum to help her find herbs for her mom who is sick back home so that Eldersky can heal and come be in the nursery again. Owlhum agrees but at the same time tries to hurry things along so that they kit can get back to camp.

Finally they come across a small, rare patch of a sweet smelling herb and while Laurelkit is unsure if its the right herb (it won't be, unfortunately) she picks some of it to bring home. This is when she confides in Owlhum that she actually has no idea how to get home, so Owlhum offers to take her back to camp.

Before they reach the camp entrance, they are met by Owlglide who questions why Owlhum has Laurelkit. Laurelkit is confused and tries to explain to her Clanmate that the cat helped her find herbs to help heal Eldersky and she doesn't understand why they're being so hostile. Owlhum apologizes and drops Laurelkit off, but Laurelkit is sad to see them go because they were so nice to her. Owlglide then brings Laurelkit back to camp so she can deliver the lifesaving herbs to her mom! (except they won't be and she will be disappointed, but that is a whole other plot line)

Apologies for the length of that! Now let's get into the roles I'll need to help execute this plot:

ShadowClan Warrio - No age requirements; must be nice and not want to kill a kit who mistakenly crossed the border and will be glad to return her back to WindClan.

WindClan Warrior - No age requirements; will run into Laurelkit and [ ShadowClan Warrior ] as they are returning back to WindClan's camp.

Brief Personality: super haughty but pretty lowkey about it because she wants be respected and not viewed as a big mean cat, especially when there's already a ton of those around. she's super intelligent but like,,, more book smart; lacks a ton of common sense and is kinda dumb on most fronts, as in she will absolutely pick fights if she thinks someone's pointedly looking for one and ignore blatant warnings (and that's partially due to thinking she's always got something to prove.) also a bit naturally blunt, but hey, who isn't every once and a while?

generally she's pretty passive and doesn't actively go looking for trouble. she's not bloodthirsty or murderous or even mildly angry, she just thinks she's a little better than everyone else and wants to uphold that.

@poppy. i honestly adore brackenfire as well - perhaps they could have a future interaction at laurelkit's first gathering when she is named an apprentice?

@Bean_The_Cat unfortunately i think a warrior is best, but i can definitely see them perhaps getting to talking and maybe formulating the beginnings of a friendship at laurelkit's first gathering?
