Pounceleap watched into the pool of starry water and saw that the Riverclan medicine cat, Fawnpaw was asleep.I will visit her in her dreams Pounceleap thought watching from the stars to her beloved clanmate

Fawnpaw
Sleep had not come at first to the young she-cat. Instead she found it rather difficult to sleep in the medicine den all alone, without the quiet sounds of her Clanmates breathing or occasional snores. No rustling in moss nests to get comfortable, no soft pawsteps as some rose early with the sun. Here there were no other sounds aside from the gentle trickle of water near the back of the den.

But finally, after what seemed like ages, a dark wave pulled her under and soon enough Fawnpaw opened her eyes to find that she was in a world quiet familiar. It looked to be the same as she had been in with the RiverClan leader during his lives ceremony. Stars dazzled the sky above and an array of colors were spread out before her. Paws padded slowly on the serene land until her blue gaze landed on a familiar cat.

"Ms. Pounceleap!" She was here! She wasn't dead anymore, no longer covered by the dirt that coated her fur when she had last seen her. With a bright smile the young medicine cat raced forward, stopping just short of the RiverClan ancestor. "Hello! Are you... you made it to StarClan safely." There was relief in her words as she smiled at her former Clanmate.

Pounceleap nodded, “I now have friends that would have been my enemies here” she said, “You have a lot to learn little one, but I know that you are going to be the greatest medicine cat, and someday you will die nobly and join me, and you’re loved ones” Pounceleap purred before adding “Make sure you give yourself time” @marni

Oh, she was so relieved that she had made it safely. And she appeared healthier and happier too. Still grinning, Fawnpaw listened intently to every word she spoke. After all, she was now living among the cats who had selected her to be RiverClan's medicine cat.

"You've met the ancestors of other Clans?" she breathed, unable to contain the wonder and awe that infiltrated her voice. Stars, that must be so exciting. Fawnpaw wondered what they were like. Soon enough Pounceleap was moving on, and her words sprung tears to glisten in the young she-cat's eyes. "Thank you, Ms. Pounceleap..." she murmured, feeling her heart swell with gratitude. There was definitely still much for her to learn, she knew that.

With a firm nod, Fawnpaw kept her gaze on the RiverClan ancestor. "I will. I want to be there to help my Clan as much as I can, but whenever StarClan calls me back I know it will be my time."

Pounceleap sat down calmly, “yes I have Fawnpaw, I have met other warrior ancestors” Pounceleap listened to the new medicine cat, “your welcome” she nodded, “indeed it will be Fawnpaw, I will be their watching when you get your medicine cat name” pounceleap touched her nose to Fawnpaw’s ear

Her medicine cat name? Was it different than getting a warrior name?? Suddenly Fawnpaw felt her heart fill with wonder at what it would be. She hadn't given much thought to it before, considering it wouldn't be up to her. But she wondered if she had a say in her medicine cat name - or who would give it to her since she didn't have a mentor to learn from.

As Pounceleap's nose touched her ear the young cat let out a tiny trill of acknowledgement. "Do you get to see all of the Clans? Or only RiverClan?" Maybe if she had met Clan ancestors from other Clans she could also see what was happening. Curiosity nibbled on her conscious as she watched her former Clanmate through awestruck eyes.

Despite the questions that still held poised on the tip of her tongue, Pounceleap was already fading from view. Her heart lurched in her chest and she was about to call out to the warrior when she felt herself fading away too. Soon enough she found herself blinking away in her nest, eyes full of stars and head a bit foggy. "Woah.." So Pounceleap had made it safety to StarClan! She would have to tell Snowleap! With a light smile, the young she-cat laid her head back onto her paws, settling into a dreamless sleep.
