The Snow Can Be Fun! {RC Event}

Graytail stood flicking her split tail “Kits! Apprentices!” She yowled into the clearing, “Come play in the snow!” She padded over to a group of warriors “Do you all mind if you help me watch the Kits and apprentices playing in the snow?” she purred and walked back over to the pile of snow she carefully piled up for the kits and apprentices to play in.

She waited for kits and apprentices to gather and then carefully explained rules. “The rules are simple, play in the snow and have fun! But if you get too cold, you must go warm up before playing in the snow again. Warriors and Queens will watch to make sure no one gets too cold, and if someone get hurt or frozen, please bring them to Fawnpaw!”
“And if there are any questions, please, bring them to me!” Graytail took a sharp breath in, and a puff of her breath appeared in front of her, and she puffed up her thick pelt. “That’s it! Go Play!”

IMPORTANT: Your kit or apprentice’s chill level is determined by a 1d20 (A 20 sided dice) 1-5 is that the kit or apprentice is warm enough to play for a long while, 6-15 is that the kit or apprentice is starting to get cold, but can still play, and 16-19 is that the kit or apprentice is too cold to keep playing and must warm up. And 20 is that the kit or apprentice has gotten frostbite! The severity of the frostbite is determined by a 1d4 (4 sided dice) 1 is small, 2 is moderate but still small, 3 is moderate, leaning toward severity, and 4 is severe frostbite.

Bearkit was out of the nursery and to where the event was happening in a matter of minutes(4 1/2 to be exact). "LET ME PLAY!" He cried, happy.

Bluefang turned his head when Graytail walked to him and a few other warriors, asking if they will help watch the kits play in the snow. He smiled and nodded. "Of course." The white-furred tomcat mewed.

Slatestripe was spending time with some of the other warriors when Graytail approached and asked for help supervising kits and apprentices. “Of course, that’s no problem at all,” he purred. It sounded simple enough, provided that everyone behaved.

He saw Bearkit scamper forward to participate. It had been some time since he’d seen the kit; a lump formed in his throat as he thought of the little guy’s missing mother. Slatestripe decided to ask him how he was doing. Approaching, he questioned, “How are you, Bearkit?”

Bearkit turned to a warrior asking how he was. "Fine! Why?" he asked, too happy to remember his missing mother at the moment.

Lilykit

Lilykit poked her head out of the nursery when she heard someone calling out. Her big grey-green eyes blinked as she took in the outside world, which was covered in white stuff. What . . . What was this? She poked it with a paw, and the small, fluffy tabby shivered when it came back cold and a bit wet, some of the white stuff sticking to her paw. She shook it off and narrowed her eyes, crouching slightly as she stared at the white, powdery stuff that covered the ground, trying to figure out what it was. Was this normal? Did this white stuff always appear when it was cold outside?

Lilykit perked her ears up and stood up straight when she heard Graytail’s announcement, and she cocked her head to the side slightly. Oh, so this stuff was called snow. And . . . They could play in it? Well that was interesting. Intrigued, she slowly crept out of the nursery and shyly made her way to the back of the crowd that was forming, sitting off the the side shyly. She didn’t come out of the nursery much, as she was far too timid and shy to interact with others. As it was, she would content to stay on the sidelines and play on her own. Maybe she could make little mounds of snow to climb up and jump off, if she could gather enough.

Playing in the snow? Hm.

Wasn't the greatest thing to do. Hunting was way more productive, but maybe Littlepaw could take a break. Who knows, maybe one day she'd need to fight in the snow! Better safe than sorry.

The striped apprentice followed the crowd outside, almost blending into the white surroundings. She was finally able to get through to a thick pile and tested it out with a poke of her tiny paw.

"Here goes!" She announced to herself, pouncing into the powdery mass.
