Violetfreckle was itching to do something around here. Cats were going missing left and right, and RiverClan needed to know how to defend itself. So, the tabby she-cat leapt onto the Streamstone and let out a resounding call.
"All warriors and apprentices who want to practice their battle skills, come with me!"
After waiting a few moments, Violetfreckle trotted out of camp, hoping whoever was interested would follow. She arrived at her destination; a clear area with few trees and plenty of room for sparring. There was a light dusting of snow on the ground.
"Alright, now pair up! This is going to be a tournament, so you'll fight whoever your partner is first. If you don't find a pertner, I'll find one for you! Now come on, let's go!"
Characters may join this event until Sunday, January 15 at 11:59 ET. After this, characters may watch, but no more cats are permitted to join.
I'll set up a double-elimination bracket and the battles will begin!
Each battle will take place on one day (i.e., the first battle your cat participates in will only be on the 16th). If the roleplay isn't finished by the end of the allotted day, I'll determine who the victor is based on the roleplay or, if it seems even, a dice roll.
If you win, your character moves on in the tournament. If you lose, they are moved to the "loser's" bracket and don't have a chance at winning the tournament as a whole. However, they can still battle until they lose one more time!
The winner of the tournament will receive a special award, as will the runner-up.
Please don't hesitate the VM me if you have any questions!

He cracked his articulations and said "Count me in!"

Flintfang
He/Him
Grey ears perking as the sound of a resounding call trumpeting through camp, Flintfang poked his head out of the warrior's den, sage orbs landing on Violetfreckle poised atop Streamstone. Oh, an event? For once, finally, Flintfang was in a merrier mood. He needed an excuse to exercise, anyway. And so, letting a gaily smile spread over his face, the silver tabby tom ducked out of the den he'd been sitting in and after the group padding out of camp.
Re: Sparring in the Snow [RC Warriors & Apprentices]
Bouncepaw was struggling to find a spot to lie down when he heard the call of Violetfreckle announcing her event. Hmm… he needed to learn anyway, and it’s not like Mistycloud was around to train him often. Eight moons and barely a battle skill learned, odd. He followed the molly and listened intently to her. Go into pairs? Who could he pair with? He looked around in search of a partner that might be a good cat to be paired with.
