gender affirming mistakes
summary:
Poppykit is mistaken as a girl but doesn't correct them, so begins the curious cats gender exploration.
poppykits page
a fuzzy ball of fur, kitten sized, femme name, identical to his mother, born to an entire litter of sisters; its an easy mistake to make, he could easily be mis recognised as a ball of yard! So Poppykit being misgendered as a little girl isn't out of the question..
an interaction with a cat who calls him a girl and uses she/her, Poppy doesn't correct them and plays into it out of "curiosity" whilst it also sparks the snowball of his future gender identity & coming out
perhaps this carries on for awhile? poppykit seeks them out to keep pretending to be a girl? nobody is ever around to correct the other cat?
maybe one day one of Poppykits MANY MANY family members hears cat refer to Poppykit as a molly and finally the bubble is burst?
misgender? more like rightgender.

Adderkit (link in sig) could perhaps be a bully, and think he's bullying poppy by misgendering him as a girl but actually affirming him. @teddy.

i actually like this idea for a long term sort of plot! I think the bullying part is gonna bounce right off of poppykit a bit; hes too sunshine and rainbows, if you get what i mean, but yes!!

I have Rosekit who could be a close friend and maybe when he's talking to some girls she just comes in and says "Didnt know you were looking for a mate so soon" or something like that making the bubble burst in a awkard fashion which is just Rosekits style (she's 8 moons btw she REALLY needs a mentor so i mite just say Rosepaw a few times) or any other way thats just an idea of mine.
