Today, she'd decided to take a walk through the forest. Of course, her thick fur seemed to draw leaves and twigs to it like a magnet, but she didn't mind. She'd gotten used to it. As she inhaled the scent of the woodland, she found that another scent drifted across the breeze. A cat, and a frightened one at that.

Oh dear, I must find out what's wrong!

Carnation attempted to pinpoint the scent, enormous paws carrying her through the trees and fallen leaves as if she were a ghost. She shivered at the thought, immediately ridding her mind of the expression. Ghosts. Creepy. Before she could lose herself too deeply in her mind, she found the frightened cat taking refuge beneath a bush.

"Hello?" she meowed quietly, her deep voice coming smooth as undisturbed snow on a winter's morning. "Are you alright, dear?"

* She jumped as a voice sounded nearby. She whispered in fear. *
" N-no... N-no... D-don't hurt me. "
* She continued to cower in fear. *

Carnation laid down on her stomach, gazing softly at the cat with sympathetic eyes. "Really? Would you like to talk about it?" she suggested quietly.

Carnation purred. "That must be difficult, living in a forest with ears like that," she said empathetically, thick tail swishing behind her like a metronome.
