[RiverClan] All I Want for Christmas is You (Duskleaf love finder)

Hey! I’ve done this twice before but it hasn’t gone too well, so I’m trying again. I’m looking for a mate for Duskleaf, this time decided to go with a Christmas theme for the finder, so to anyone reading, have a merry Christmas!

So, here’s some information about Duskleaf. He's a RiverClan warrior aged 25 moons, and he’s not had the best of luck recently. It's not known to very many cats (only two I think?) but he’s actually half ThunderClan. He became a Lionheart at the end of May/the start of June (I can’t really remember) and then became Head Lionheart at the start of July, then he was demoted to warrior again in early September after accidentally revealing the location of RiverClan’s temporary camp, Fadingstar held a vote to see if he would be demoted or not, but after a bit of arguing, Fadingstar decided to demote him himself. Now Duskleaf generally keeps to himself and can be found up a tree a lot of the time. And whatever cat becomes his mate will have a reserved spot up there as well!

In terms of personality, Duskleaf is generally a very friendly and calm cat. He's rational and honest, and although his messy fur with leaves sticking out says otherwise, he’s very organised (it’s his style now). But he’s also the type of cat to screw up if he speaks for too long, which is the reason he usually doesn’t speak to cats from other clans with the sole exception of his sister, Snakefang (a ThunderClan cat). Of course this strategy didn’t work because he still managed to screw up at the worst possible time.

So now onto the kind of cat I’m after for Duskleaf's mate! I’m looking for a RiverClan she-cat roughly the same age as Duskleaf (he’s 25 moons, a bit over or a bit under is okay too, but nothing too far from his age please!) Additionally, I'm after something at least semi-long term, Duskleaf's not really the type of cat to have short-term relationships, he wouldn’t really be interested in a romantic relationship unless he felt like he wanted to spend the rest of his life with that cat. For that reason, it would probably end up a slow burn thing, perhaps spending a good deal of time together before Duskleaf would start to fall in love with another cat.

Oh and here’s another thing, although technically it’s not required, I really, really want Duskleaf to become a father at some point, so it would be great if cats being applied here are open to having kits after a while. Again, not necessary, but it would be really good if that was an option!

The only cat I have in RC that would kinda fit is Irisdream. Their shared difficult past would be something they can eventually bond over, but Irisdream is a hard nut to crack.

Originally, I was thinking of having her get back together with her ex. But they've gone MIA (I'm assuming due to finals but who knows if/when they'll be back), so I'm exploring other options just in case. With this disappearance, any positive progress she's made towards growth is all but lost.

Iris has some...issues. She's clinically OCD, trust issues, anxieties, the whole boat. She has a daughter from her ex Wavebreaker - Kitepaw - which brings me to the one thing in which Iris does not really fit. She's 44 moons, so there's a bit of an age gap. :/ If that's too much for you I definitely understand!

Iris would be a slow burn, and I'm hoping for her to eventually find love again that opens her up. Lets her know it's okay for her to be herself without having to put on the act that would please her mother, which at this point she uses as a defense mechanism.

On the point of kits, once Iris has dealt with her traumas and realizes she's not a terrible mother to Kitepaw like she thinks she is, then she'd definitely be open to kits again! And she'd likely be a totally different mother with them than she was with Kitepaw.

If you're okay with the age gap, let me know and we can try them out!

Haha can you imagine? Especially when Redmire’s literally the reason Duskleaf sleeps in a tree now XD (Oh no imagine she finds him XD)

Slight change of plan! So I found out like half an hour ago that I’ll be going to Spain tomorrow and come back on Christmas Eve, and it won’t be until late at night, so I’ll have to change it to the 23rd instead, sorry if this inconveniences anyone!
