How long had it been since Shadowpaw found herself being pestered in her dreams? Company was nice but if she was going to lucid dream every night it would be nice to have one dream on her own, playing with it how she liked. Well she did that anyways, but by herself. It was funny though, it seemed like other cats didn't possess this ability like she did. Or maybe they hadn't honed it like she seemed to have accidentally done and was overriding what they wanted to see.

When did this start though? The best guess she had was when she asked Wisppaw to play with other cats than just her all the time, but that had to be just coincidence. Nothing about Wisppaw seemed special, sorry Wisp it was just the truth. So maybe this was just a power manifest as she grew older. Yet this had little importance tonight...

Shadowpaw pulled herself into the apprentice's den after a long day of doing nothing and found her nest to lay in. The last thing that she promised was that she would speed her training up that she had been neglecting.

But something was wrong.

Shadowpaw pulled herself quickly out of the dark puddle. Looking down at the pitch water it was just high enough to suffocate a cat who was laying down on the ground. Well never had that happened to her before, that and she was sure that would have just woken her up yet she was still here. The apprentice closed her eyes and tried to imagine somewhere brighter and happier. "Serene Sunshine, babbling bubbles, flying fish, anything better than this..." She said the incantation to herself, before opening up her eyes to see...

Nothing changed whatsoever. At this revelation her heart hitched. "No that's not right..." She muttered to herself as she glanced around at the landscape with disbelief. Was this some kind of nightmare? She hadn't had one of those since kithood but this place filled the perfect criteria of a nightmare. Then it was just a dream. This wasn't anywhere. Shadowclan bore no familiarity with it. Nightmares can't harm you.

Believe it well, then it will be so.

Why, it was about time wasn’t it? That she accompanied a younger, more alive cat than herself. So, she would creep her way into the little Shadows dream, watching from her own shadows as the apprentice faced…confusion. Ahh…the confused were always the best to manipulate. Both her great great grandchildren had lost their memories…though she had only spoke to one, they were so moldable. So controllable. “Hello dear…how are you?” she cooed, her voice gentle and sounded…friendly.

Shadowpaw jumped when she heard an unexpected voice and tried her best to not shake in her boots. Though the calming voice did help soothe her, being unable to control the surroundings left her slightly on edge. "Oh y'know..." What does she know? "Walking." She said before looking to the sides trying to find where that stupid answer came from. She then awkwardly cleared her throat before looking back to the cat right in front of her.

"Anywaaaaaaays... I'm Shadowpaw!"

Vixen’s yellow eyes gleamed with an unsettling calmness as she took in the young cat’s awkwardness. It was almost…cute, really, how easily the apprentice seemed to be thrown off, just by the surroundings. And anxious. Huh. The kind of weakness Vixen thrived in. She stepped closer, her shadow slinking along the ground like it was a living thing, ever so close but never touching.

“ShadowPaw.” Vixen purred, the name rolling off her tongue. Her gaze softened, but it was a false softness, one that hid the slyness beneath. The softness in her gaze was deliberate, hiding the sharpness beneath. "Such an interesting name for one so…unsure." She let the silence hang for a moment before adding, “What brings you here, I wonder?”.

"Well uh..." What was she supposed to say when she wanted nothing to do with being here. Epically with such a strange cat... Maybe she was being unforgiving. Perhaps this cat was stuck here too and was just trying to figure it out too? Was the dream land always so weird, it was never for herself till now. "I was just dreaming and... Maybe my dream of becoming a warrior threw me to you?" She was just throwing mud around to see what tree it hit here. So with that she looked to Vixen with her wide eyes and a bright smile.

"Unless you can't do such a thing..." She said as a sly smile came to her face.
