The Beach side den. ((OPEN))

Tara sat outside her den and was gently rubbing a paw against her slightly swollen belly. It wasn't big enough to hinder her ability to hunt, but it would soon enough. Her mind was soaring with the thought of kits. She knew she was going to have a very hard time and especially when she wouldn't be able to hunt. She padded down to the waters edge and slowly let herself slip into the water. She swam around for a bit and then rolled onto her back. She closed her eyes as she drifted back onto the beach. it was relaxing to have a den this close to the water. And the barrier of bushes protecting her from the harsh wind and predators. The only way to enter her home was from the water or the path that she had made.

* She opened her eyes and turned her head at the sound. She immediately tensed her shoulders and rolled onto her paws. She stood up and flexed her claws. *
" What do you want? "
* She said as menacingly as she could. *

* Tara watched as the other cat left and hissed under her breath. Though she may not look it at the moment she was in fact defending this territory for her kit. She had only the one and was determined to defend this area for herself and her son. She padded back up to her den and padded in. Her son was curled up in the nest. He was no younger than a week old. She gently laid down around her son and purred as her crawled to her belly to nurse. *

* She was sat outside her den watching the waves lap at the beach side. She gave a soft purred and flicked her tail when her son pounced on it. She smiled softly and gently licked his forehead. *

| Near the Beach |

Babs hopped up on a rock, scanning the area. their fur had gotten quite messy since "The Leave". They silently crept up onto the beach, looking around quite nervously.
Where was this?
Where was home?
They swished their slim grey tail as they trudged forward through the sand, the feeling uncomfortable and unknown to their young paws. they paused mid-step, as they spied a kit and it's mother.
no.
wrong place.
other cats were bad.
that's what mama taught him..
but mama's not here..
Babs quickly shifted Their paw the other direction,
but stopped.
they were hungry.
cold.
quite cold actually.
they shook their head.
mama's words matter..
that thought lingered in Their head as They stood frozen in the sand.
They decided against it, instead trying to walk in the damp sand.
They were at least halfway back to the forest..
when They got stuck, that is.

no!
This had to be it!
They weren't gonna yowl like some kit!
even though..
They were a kit..

* She lifted her head and looked down to the beach. She spotted a kit and gasped lightly. She stood up and slowly padded down towards the kit. She softly mewed and stopped a few foxlengths away. *
" Are you okay little one? Do you need any help? "
