Wandering Kit!
A small mewl could be heard from the dark bushes along the stream, with nothing but houses behind that held the dread of dogs and Two-legs, and a dark forest across from the cold water, a kit no older than 3 moons could be seen cowering under the reeds. Its long white fur easily visible and looked caked with grit and mud. As stocky as the kit looked you could tell his fur barely clung to his frame and see the shivers in his almost silvery long whiskers. Even the tufts of hair poking from his ears looked dirty. The violet eyed kit lay crying in the faintest of hope that someone would hear, and that someone would help.
"Mama...mama...where are you...I'm cold..."

Re: Wandering Kit!
The stone-grey loner had travelled through this place before, making the strange atmosphere surprising. This was sudden, he thought, eyes almost glowing like embers, golden with a hint of a fiery disposition underneath. Unsettling was just one word to describe the place he'd visited not so long ago, though through the eerie silence, a certain sound echoed through, anyways...
What sounded like the cries of another cat had echoed through to the grown tom's ears, young cries, it seemed. The cries of a kit. Upon the realisation, the tom was gripped with a certain... anxiety. How long had those cries been calling? had he spaced out? He could only hope the kit wasn't in trouble...
The cat hurtled through the undergrowth, the sound of his rough footfall rivalling that of the gurgling stream. He wasn't hunting, his usually silent padding had no need to be so silent in this situation. His short fur brushed against plant matter which had managed to snag in the fine strands, which would usually be a bother, at least without more important manners at hand.
The tom could properly hear the kit's voice now, padding closer to the muddied pile of once white fur. He was crying for his mother? The tom looked about from side to side to look for the figure, seeing no other grown cat about. Had the kit been abandoned?
"Are you alright?" the tom managed to speak up after searching for a parent. He wasn't used to interacting with other cats, especially kits... He didn't know what to say to the poor creature. "Are you... Hurt? Hungry?" the least he could do was try to help.

Re: Wandering Kit!
Shivering even harder the kits eyes stared wide, stifling his mewling with short staccato breaths, he lifted the front of his body but as he began to talk his paws slipped out from under him. Deciding that moving wasn't gonna work he curled into himself to be as small as possible.
"M...my mommy left...I'm cold...I haven't seen her since I saw the moon..."

Re: Wandering Kit!
The tom recoiled slightly as the soggy and muddied kit fell down again, wondering if he should help the kit up. It seemed pointless, as the kit had already decided to bunch together into a tight ball, most likely to protect himself from whatever the world had thrown at him before. He'd begun talking before his impact on the ground had interrupted him mid-sentence, the tom crouching lower to the ground as the kit spoke.
"Your mother... the moon?" the loner glanced at the sky, the sun sinking and glistening happily on the horizon... It was a shame the mood couldn't match today. But that also hinted at a bigger issue. The moon wouldn't have been out for a long time now, so where was the mother? Hopefully the kit wasn't abandoned...
Looking back at the kit, a hint of worry had already shown in the tom's fiery eyes, though he corrected himself quickly. He remembered being told by his own mother to act strong when others needed help. But that had never been needed until now. "Maybe she's... Maybe she's hunting for you." a likely story. That hunting trip would've been over by now, at least with a helpless kit being left alone. The mother would have at least come back empty-pawed if she wanted the kit alive. What a dreadful thought... A mother who didn't want her kit alive...

Re: Wandering Kit!
He dragged himself over to sit under the toms chin, starting to purr slightly at the warmth. His belly could be heard grumbling. Why wouldn't Mama be back by now? And who was this cat? Mama had told him to be wary of strange cats but then she'd left him in the middle of the night. He can still remember being woken and his mother carrying him from inside the two-leg house to the yard and beyond. He had fallen asleep on the way and then woken when he felt himself starting to get cold.
"My.....my names Fish. Whats yours? Do you really think my Mama will be back? I'm so cold and its scary out here."

Re: Wandering Kit!
Frost padded along weary to the sounds of other cats nearby. Her catious pawsteps unheard as she approched. So many noises all around her made the barm cats hackles raise with suspicion. She had seen two cats slip in here from her watchtower. Aka the fence that surround her barn. She had watched from a distance as both approched the small stream. None had returned for a while. Which lead her to the suspicion something was going down. The Snow White molly leapt down from the barn fence into the tall grass and had followed after the scent. Now she wasn't so sure that was a good idea. They were both cats for sure, no small dogs or small foxs. Frost picked up the pace when she heard voices. Her ears perked and she stopped dead. She could scent four cats. One scent so very stale, it was laced with milk. Another was a lonely scent mingled with nothing but undergrowth. Finally a sweet smelling one, a kitten most likely. And finally an earthen smelling one. A rouge perhaps. Frost wriggled her haunches and than began a slow trot toward the noise. If they were rouges she would flee but if they were kittypets she may or may not aniciate conversation, quite frankly she was bored. So with her small weak voice she got close enough and called out over the grass, "hello? Is anyone here?" she meows. Her collar jangling as she raised her head.
