After the meeting, Crowbones trotted over to the entrance.

"Raccoonpaw! let's go." He called put, the large, towering cat waited for his apprentice to come. He wasn't usually paitent, and if this kid was late he was gonna get a stern, very, very stern talk to. Crows was gonna work this kid, whether they liked it or not.

Raccoonpaw padded behind Crowbones, her steps slow and a little hesitant. Her usual eagerness was dampened, and there was a faraway look in her eyes as she glanced toward the camp’s entrance. She kicked a small pebble with a sigh, her tail dragging a little lower than usual. “I always wanted to be a tunneler,” she said quietly, her voice tinged with a bit of sadness. “The earth... it’s so much quieter down there. You know, no one bothers you. And there are always bones. Bones are fascinating, Crowbones. The tunnels are full of them. I wanted to learn how to dig and... and keep things safe underground.” She flicked her ear in frustration, then gave him a quick, forced grin. “But... I guess I'll be fine. Warriors get to do all kinds of stuff, right? I’ll just have to find bones above ground now.” She flicked her tail with an odd mix of determination and uncertainty as she followed him, still trailing behind a bit more than usual.

What in the dark forest.

What the hell was this damn kid talking about? The large tom looked over, raising a brow as she talked about being a tunneler, thoughtful. Some training of his own to be a tunneler could probably cheer this kid up, he could also speak to Crowtooth or Dustbunny- hell- even Vinesmoke- about getting this kid some lessons on it.

"Right kid." He said gruffly, listening as his apprentice went on some tangent about bones. Crows snorted at this, chuckling as he padded out into the territory.

"I know how to get you some bones kid- and how to hide things, I'll be happy to teach ya how, okay?" He said simply, almost calloused as he padded on, ears perked and sharp silvery-heather eyes gleaming as they watched the territory. Every sense in his body, finely tuned to the territory home.

"But we gotta get through the territory tour first, k kid? otherwise you'll be a hopeless case."

Racconpaw padded along behind Crows, her head slightly tilted as she processed his words. She was eager, but there was a flicker of uncertainty in her eyes as she listened to him. She flicked her tail, trying to appear confident, though her voice betrayed her nerves. "Yeah, bones and hiding stuff, I got it," she said, giving him a quick nod. "I’ve... I’ve hidden stuff before, like, uh, when I didn’t want to share my prey. But, uh, real lessons, yeah, I’m ready."bShe stepped up a little closer, her paws light on the ground, but her thoughts were already racing. "I’ll get through the tour, Crows. I’m not gonna be a hopeless case. I promise." Her words were more sure now, though she couldn’t help but glance around the unfamiliar territory, wondering what else was out there.

Crowbones was proud of his apprentice. They were gonna try their hardest, and that's all Crows could ask from Raccoon. The towering cat trotted on, heading towards the border of thunderclan, his nose twitching.

"What can you smell Raccoonpaw..?" He asked, looking over at the small (compared to him) apprentice.

Raccoonpaw paused, letting the wind ripple through her fur as she lifted her muzzle high. She stood still, breathing in deeply, the world narrowing to scent and sound alone. Her ears twitched, and her eyes narrowed thoughtfully. “I smell rabbit,” she said at last, her voice low with focus. “It’s fresh—close, I think. The scent’s still warm in the air.” Her whiskers twitched with excitement, and her tail gave a small flick behind her. “It ran through here not too long ago… toward those bushes over there.” She turned her head to look up at Crowbones, eyes shining with a mix of pride and curiosity. “Should we follow it? Or stay on the patrol?” she asked, her paws shifting with barely-contained energy.

Crowbones smirked at the energy- and the scent of rabbit she had picked up. This kid wasn't half bad. He nodded. "Follow it- let's see how far you can go with this." He nodded, letting Raccoon take the lead. She was decently good at this, and he wanted to see how far she coukd go without his help- then they could work on the weak spots.

Raccoonpaw’s ears perked up, eyes wide as Crowbones gave her the go-ahead. She hadn’t expected that. “O-okay!” she meowed, a little breathless. She turned back toward where she’d caught the scent, nose twitching as she tried to find it again. Where was it? For a heartbeat, panic fluttered in her chest. Then—there. Faint, but still there. She crouched clumsily, her hindquarters a bit too high, and crept forward, trying to remember everything she’d been taught. The leaves rustled underpaw, louder than she meant. She winced, glancing back at Crowbones briefly, then forced herself to focus again. Just... follow it. Don’t mess it up. Her tail wobbled behind her, but she kept moving, determined not to let him down
