He silently nodded then circled around the squirrel, making sure to lower his haunches and basically mimic what his mentor had done. He slowly approached the squirrel and pounced. Yes! "It may not seem like it now, but all of those experiences do add up. They made you into the cat you are now, and will make you into the warrior you will be in the future." The huge warriors voice was calm and stern, yet still had warmth and gentleness behind their words. Their frown tilted up into a small smile as Cinderpaw got back up, and they took a step towards the apprentice, "For now, I want to focus on the best ways to initiate a fight against an opponent. While running at them head on might be effective in some scenarios, its often best to come at an enemy from the side. That way they cant see you as easily, and you can use your size to your advantage to try and knock them over. You had the right idea, and even though you have very little experience you do seem to have good instincts. Keep your head up, lets try again."

As they were getting back into their fighting stance, a new voice made itself known. Shallowshiver sighed, their brow twitching as they turned to face Lightningpelt. Could he not see that they were in the middle of training? "I hope you arent doubting my abilities to teach an apprentice, Lightningpelt" their voice came out low and flat, tail giving a single lash behind them. "I am also starting to suspect that you have a bit of an ego, but thats neither here nor there." A small snort left them at Cinderpaws words, but they quickly put a straight face back on as the other warrior continued speaking. Warfang? Who the hell was that? The huge cat sighed, shifting their weight onto their left side before speaking up, "The cat who supposedly trained you does not make you more capable than the rest of us. If you are so insistent on training an apprentice, Im sure there are several back at camp with absent mentors that you could assist"

Letting a sigh the pretty she-cat just nodded her head, "Perhaps hunting would be beneficial to the clan and you'd be one step closer to becoming a warrior" she mewed rather stiffly before turning her head and scanning the surrounding area.

Hunting! Hunting! Nutwing had to go hunting. Clan was nothing without food. Food was important to Nutwing. The tom moved through the territory whiskers twitched in excitement to find food. He scanned the clearing even though everything a foot away was blurry. Darn his stupid eyesight. Stupid? No stupid mean word. His eyesight wasn't stupid. No way. It was just different. Noticing his pawsteps were a bit too loud he slowed down and made himself walk more quieter. Scar off prey means no food for Thunderclan. Nutwing must catch food or clan will starve.

Stopping he scented the air to catch any prey scent. He scented absolutely nothing and went on his way deeper into the territory. He soon stopped again and scented the air. Vole scent filled his nose. Nutwing found food! Nutwing actually found food! He calmed down a bit and got into a hunters crouch. Stalking it he kept his eyes on the blurry shape of the vole. His paws kept getting closer and closer. His long brown fur blew in the breeze. Once the vole was in his vision he pounced, landing on top of. With grace and excitement he killed it with a quick bite to the neck. "Nutwing thanks you starclan...For once.", Nutwing meowed in a whisper.

Tornclaw burst over, causing a bird to flap away, but not on purpose as he did not see him. "oh, I'm sorry."

Mothflight walked around the forest. The forest floor was covered with ferns, grass, bushes, and flowers. Birds chirped above them and squirrels scurried through the trees and on the ground, getting food and running away from the big and scary-looking cats. Birdpaw was right beside the white molly. Mice and rabbits were nearby. Newleaf brought much prey back to the forest. Mothflight looked at the nearest rabbit.

BirdPaw looked at MothFlight and flicked her ear towards the rabbit "Do i catch it?" she mouthed

"Really? We're done? But there are a couple of sparrows right there! Let me catch them quick. Please?" He said quietly, a little upset that his hunt was almost over. He wanted to catch more!

"I'll join you then." He said, leaping for a sparrow straying from the flock. He captured it just like he had before. "Your turn." He whispered to Stagpaw, in a quiet tone to make sure he didnt scare off the other sparrows.

Stagpaw smiled, taking notice that this cat liked quiet. He scanned the area for prey then began stalking a sparrow that was gliding toward the ground. It picked up a hiding mouse and attempted to fly away yet it didn't know that it was prey too. Stag leaped out of the bush, clawing the bird's wings. The bird scraped its talons across his face shallowly; blood bubbling up in small dots along his muzzle. He clawed at its throat seeing as it was rather small and he finally, a bit messily, caught his prey.
