Flamepaw’s orange tail twitched every so often as she spoke, it was a way for her to release energy without being obnoxious. Hopefully during a border tour, she’d get a lot of energy out. What better way to spend it than protecting ThunderClan??

Ashpaw stopped to think about what Flamepaw had just said. Uhm... do you think Thunderclan needs more events to reinforce the bond between clanmates?

Flamepaw thought for a moment and shrugged her shoulders as she replied to Ashpaw’s question, “I mean… the bond between Clanmates is already strong, but if we interacted with one another more, you know, to get to know each other, like hunting together or something, then it would help.”

The meeting had not started yet but it still irked the older warrior to overhear the entire discussion between both apprentices, and then one of their mentors. The golden Bengal looks their way from her spot in the shade and narrows her eyes. "I recall a time when our apprentices were far more proactive in their own training and pursued that experience themselves," Nectarflame comments shrewdly. But then she flicks her tail and shakes her head, perhaps shaking the desire to comment further away as well, for she returns her gaze to the Thunderwillow. Sparrowflight would have her paws full, that was for sure. But the few of them that had been trained by Ridgeclaw were tough. She would be able to cope with a whiny apprentice.

Copperfire approached the Thunderwillow. He looked curiously at Cinderstar. What is going to be announced today? He stayed near the outskirts of the gathering group, as usual. The warrior glanced around for Swampaw. It would be good for her to attend a meeting as an apprentice. It's not like he could control where his apprentice was at all times, so if she didn't hear the call that would be her own fault.

Ashpaw noticed with pleasure that an elder had come closer. Hello, Nectarflame. WHat do you mean exactly? he bent his head and studied Nectarflame's face. He looked serious and though. Who knows how she was as a mentor? Ashpaw wondered.

The she-cat had not moved from her position in the shade- It was too warm for that. And she was faring quite well here. However when one of the apprentices talk back, her eyes flash in the light as her gaze is drawn back to them. "It was never solely the duty of the leader to ensure you, and your friend, and your denmates, were trained daily. She has bigger things to worry over than some apprentices deciding to sit and wait to be noticed when they have not even dared raise their voice." Narrowing her eyes again, Nectarflame thinks for a moment.

"They all became warriors since then." And got mauled, carried away, disappeared, and kidnapped. But that was beside the point.

"I do not know where you got those ideas from, and if your mentors have been neglectful then indeed it would be good to talk to your leader about it. But that is the thing, it is definitely on your paws to do that. You cannot just sit there talking about what you are not getting, when you are not reaching for it. Nothing is gained through complacency."

Ashpaw turned to Flamepaw: You know, I think Nectarflame has a point.
He then dipped his head to the warrior and crouched, curling his tail around his body. He sat still, thinking deeply in silence about what he had just heard. It is my responsibility... I have to gain more experience, and work harder in my training. I shall talk to Darkpetal about it later.

Flamepaw intended on paying attention to her friends and Cinderstar, but her head turned toward the warrior and her eyes narrowed at Nectarflame's comment. Sure, they were a warrior (and much older than some others in the Clan) but they had decided to pick on Ashpaw and her. Something she did not like and fully intended of defending him from Nectarflame, regardless if it was in front of the entire Clan or not.

"Hey, what makes you think we apprentices don't try to get our mentors to train us?" she spat as her brows began to furrow. "We try our darnedest, and when it comes to my own training, you bet I try to talk to the other warriors and have them take me out to train! The past moon I've talked to two warriors and they both promised to take me out to work on hunting and they never did! Who's fault is it then, hm?"

How dare they! she angrily hissed as she rose to her paws and marched over to the warrior to keep the issue between them since Nectarflame's comment was about her, she added in somewhat of a whisper, "I think you need to take a look at your fellow denmates before you look at me and my denmates. You say we need to raise our voices, and we do, but you're clearly not paying attention to what's going on in the Clan. How could you even call yourself a warrior when you could've offered to take an apprentice out for the day rather than be lazy and watch from the shadows?"

Honestly, some cats are infuriating! Flamepaw growled to herself, fighting to keep from unsheathing her claws and sliding them across Nectarflame's nose. The older apprentice just expressed her concerns with her friend, and this mouse-brain wanted to scold them on something that wasn't even their fault? At least Ashpaw's mentor hasn't disappeared into thin air like Flamepaw's had!

Winterkit’s tiny head
popped out from the nursery barrier, and his
Green eyes darted around. A Clan Meeting. Well,
at least his boredom might end…
He fancied a three-footed walk into the clearing,
before slumping to the ground where he could
easily see his leader, and hear what the she-cat
had to say.

Cherrypaw tilted her head and saw Cinderstar calling. “Oh! This might be important!” She trotted over to sit with her mentor.

Juniperkit rose from his spot next to his father. He hurried over to sit next to Hazelkit, below the rock.
