Blazingkit jumped, twisting his head over his small, broad shoulders. Next to him was a warrior, who proceeded to add that Sparrowflight, who Blazingkit assumed was the cat on the willow branch, is the new leader since Cinderstar -or Cindersky- stepped down. “Did I ask you?” the annoyed kit muttered, flinching his shoulder away from the she-cat’s tail. “And I don’t need your comfort!” he hissed and swung his head away from the warrior. Anger bubbling inside him already. Cinderstar was supposed to be at his apprentice ceremony as a leader! Now that she stepped down, a stupid, loud cat who woken Blazingkit from his beauty sleep will be the new leader and will likely be the one to be at the kit’s apprentice ceremony instead. That stupid Cinderstar -no, it is now Cindersky! She does not deserve such a fancy and important name like Cinderstar- likely stepped down because she could not handle her responsibilities, Blazingkit thought to himself. Pathetic.
Larkstorm had to stop herself from snapping back at the kit. How rude was he? He had asked a question, honestly what was he expecting to happen? If he hadn’t wanted an answer he shouldn’t have said anything! To further help along her frustration, Longpelt came up and snapped back at Blazingkit for her. Great, now other Clanmates were solving problems for her. Pressing her yes closed, Larkstorm finally muttered to the kit, “Next time just keep your mouth shut, got it?” She then moved on and found another spot more isolated. Larkstorm half listened to Sparrowflight’s words, or Sparrowstar now. It was good that Sparrowstar had gotten her nine lives, now stability in ThunderClan could begin anew. And then it was time for the apprentice ceremonies. Larkstorm didn’t particularly expect to get an apprentice. She had Oriolepaw, after all.

Juniperkit limped back into camp licking his paw. He whimpered. I should never have wandered off, he muttered. If I had just stayed put, I probably wouldn’t have gotten this stupid thorn in my paw… Juniperkit looked up and ambled over to Sparrowstar. “Ummm hi,” he squeaked, embarrassed.

Petalbee moved over to Emberpaw's side resting a tailtip on the younger cat's shoulder in silent comfort. She had never really been good at comforting others but that wasn't going to stop her. "Hey, it'll be alright... Think of how Cindersky is likely looking down at you from the stars ready to guide you. Your a great cat and so strong I don't think this'll push you back for long." She tried to be comforting without telling Emberpaw it'd be okay knowing many didn't take well to such.
The young cat had been snoozing in her nest when the leader's call rang out over camp, and she had sleepily blinked opened her eyes, and watched a few of her denmates go outside. mmmmmmmmm.... a meeting... was it? Right, right, meetings, she liked those. A strong yawn forced her jaws apart before she wobbled her way outside as well. She blopped down a few paces outside the nursery and blinked towards Sparrowfl...er... star (cuz that cat was a leader now), as the leader talked about things. Brightkit smiled a little groggily when she heard that more of her clanmates had found their way back after being missing, but the smile was interrupted by another yawn, though this one was smaller. But more sad news came to stomp out the joy as a few passings were also mentioned.

But on to the apprentice ceremonies! Brightkit was still too young for her own (and considering how semi-sleepy she still way, that was probably a good thing), but out of the names called up, she did recognize one of em, that one being Crowkit's. She remember talking to him a bit ago, and quickly rose to her paws and trotted over to him. "Congrats!" She mewed in maybe the loudest whisper in the history of whispers as she flashed him one of those 'you got this'-smiles.

She didn't want to stay in the way of anyone, however, so after that encouragement, she retreated back into the crowd, suddenly remembering her little tradition. Gosh! She had almost forgotten about that! She had planned to each meeting go and find a cat to sit with, someone who seemed a little bit sad or a little bit alone, and she couldn't break tradition! But as her bright green eyes scanned the camp, one pelt popped out to her, and she could feel her heart sink as she saw Cloudyflight. The formerly so kind looking warrior now seemed down, and sad. For some reason, though they didn't know each other all that well, seeing the fluffy cat sad made Brightkit sad too.
Going to Cloudyflight wouldn't break her tradition-thingy, but that was the last thing on the Bengal's mind as she set course towards Cloudyflight. Guilt still tugged at her heart at the sight of the claw marks on the warrior's side, but she tried to swallow it down and get it away as she approached. "How are ya?" Her voice had hints of mild cheerfulness but dulled down and more sympathetic, and the little smile she wore was more encouraging the warrior to smile too.
His gaze remained on Sparrowstar, for fear of turning around and not seeing his family close by. He thought they would show up, especially his littermate, but perhaps they weren't quite ready. Maybe Thrushfur and Quailfur were sleeping? Drowning in their sorrows after finding out about Quietkit's disappearance? Yes! Maybe that's what they were doing! Crowkit let a small smile make its way across his face. They'd probably get up any time now and come to the meeting. Hearing pawsteps, the tom turned around and saw that his friend was coming over.
"Thanks," he whispered back and flicked his ear in farewell as Brightkit made her way over to a warrior to sit next to. I hope whoever Sparrowstar chooses as my mentor is good...

She had been making her way slowly from the apprentices den, listening to Sparrowstar upon the branch of the Thunderwillow. She was admittedly out of date on recent events, having been focusing on finalizing her training, but one of the announcements stopped her cold in her tracks. Cindersky... Is dead?
Feeling a cold dread settle into her stomach, the young she-cat turned her amber eyes to look upwards at Sparrowstar, although her image of the leader was now thoroughly blurred with tears. "C-Cindersky..." she stammered, her baleful stutter infecting her voice once more, but unable to register it. Her mentor. Her last motherly figure. Was gone.
Unable to stop herself, she collapsed to the ground and let out a low, mournful wail. For the first time since the loss of her mother, Emberpaw wept openly, eyes screwed shut as she willed with all her being for this to be just another bad dream.
Rainhound frowned softly when Sparrowstar announced Cindersky's death. Houndspirit's presence was quite comforting after the Crocus situation, and she shot her mate a warm smile. But then she caught sight of Emberpaw. Emberpaw had been one of her first friends, and... she couldn't believe that the two had not interacted for a moon, maybe two. "Houndspirit... do you mind if we join Emberpaw?"
Without waiting for a response, she slowly started making her way towards Emberpaw, making sure Houndspirit could follow along while still sticking to her side if she wanted to. As she looked at Emberpaw, something inside her stirred. She was supposed to be there for her friend, whenever Ember needed her, but... she had not been. Was it too late to make up for that?
"Emberpaw," Rainhound croaked softly, attempting to rest her tail on her... friend's? ....shoulder in a comforting way. "I'm so, so sorry for your loss. Cindersky... she was simply amazing, and I know you two were close. I'm sorry," she muttered again.
She remembered how she had lost Houndspirit all those moons ago. The warrior cast an apologetic glance at her mate before leaning down to gently lick Emberpaw's cheek in a comforting way... if the molly would let her. Then she padded back to her mate. "It's going to be okay. I promise, Emberpaw," she mewed, a sad edge to her tone. "I am sure that StarClan will take Cindersky in with open paws, and she'll surely do well up there." She didn't really know what to say or do.
LavenderKit trotted toward Crowkit. Her blind gaze brimming with happiness for her brother. "Did we miss it?" She mewed to herself. She sat down and waited for something to happen next.

Dawnpaw imediatly perked up at the sound of her mentor's name being called, he was seriously back?! Her head shot side to side, looking for... Ex-Mentor? Mentor? She didn't know anymore, but she was quite happy to see that he was back.
