At Twigkit's compliment, Snowypaw couldn't help but pass an embarrassed paw over his face, trying to cover up his shyness. Realizing what he was doing, the gentle giant almost scoffed. He was an apprentice, for StarClan's sake! How was covering his face a good example to set for Twigkit? Or any kits present in the nursery for that matter! Setting his paw down, he blinked a silent thank you at Twigkit before darting his eyes back at his paws.

Noticing the leaf that had fallen, Snowypaw tilted his head in confusion. It might have blown in from outside, but there weren't any trees close to WindClan's camp that he was aware of. Maybe it belongs to one of the kits? Yes, surely this was the answer. The large tom had never been one to collect things, but he knew some cats found the idea entertaining. Maybe this leaf had merely been a part of someone's hoard, and it had simply become misplaced during his nest cleanup earlier? Turning his face back to Twigkit as the young tom sneezed, he considered asking about it, but instead remained silent as the cream kit mentioned his size.

At this Snowypaw couldn't help but purr in amusement, a small chuckle escaping him. There really was no denying his height... and general mass, really. Even as a kit, he had been almost Deadmoon's height when he had been assigned as her apprentice. It wasn't something he particularly gave much thought to, except when learning to stalk. He found that hiding or being generally sneaky before pouncing prey was particularly difficult when your paws were massive enough to kick up dust as you moved. Beaming down at Twigkit, the patched tom lay down, placing his head between his paws on the ground to get a better eye level with his smaller companion. "Is this better?" he mewed in a cheery whisper, making sure to keep his voice down as to not wake any of the sleeping nursery dwellers.

Twigkit laughed. "S-sure!" He laid down, and licked the apprentices' nose. (im really sorry for short messages, im not very motivated rn)

As Twigkit's tongue tickled Snowypaw's nose, the gentle giant couldn't help but twitch his nose lightly, purring as he closed his eyes in delight. If this didn't prove that he was at the very least not viewed as menacing, he had no idea what would. Opening his eyes once more so he could give Twigkit an appraising look, his patched ear flicked in confusion. From what he had seen so far, Twigkit was a little shy, yes, but extremely friendly, and with the hallmarks of a kind, thoughtful warrior in the making. So why was such a lovely kit all alone in the corner of the nursery? Surely there were plenty of kits who would like to spend time with the young tom? Unless he was a bit more on the loner side, of course.

The apprentice's eyes widened slightly at that thought. Hopefully that wasn't the case! With how nice Twigkit was being, Snowypaw hated the mere thought of having potentially interrupted the cream kit's alone time... especially if it was what the kit had wanted to begin with! Well... no time like the present to find out, he supposed.

"What were you doing here, all by yourself? Waiting for friends?" Snowypaw asked in a gentle voice, his eyes still on the kit as he kept his head on the ground. Normally he wouldn't be so forward with any cat, regardless of age. In his apprenticeship, however, he had already met a few cats - Specklepaw came to mind - who were perfectly amazing cats who simply were a bit too shy to make friends, thinking they had nothing to offer others with their presence. Snowypaw didn't want to accuse anyone of being wrong, but just this once, he would have to selfishly decree so. As of so far, he had not met a single cat like this whom he didn't at least feel happier by virtue of simply being by their side. He figured that if the kit was waiting for friends or just wanting to be alone, he could leave. If not... well, he would just have to dote on Twigkit for a little while.

Twigkit frowned. Ah. that question was a stumper. "Um... I don't have..." He trailed off, looking at his paws again. His tail lightly drummed the ground. The tom looked back up at Snowypaw with a sad green glance. His cream pelt shivered, and he looked back to the ground as if it would help him make friends.

Wolffeather's frown deepened. He couldn't quite remember this cats name. Aside that, he continued on. "That's really stupid." He hissed, glaring at the mess around the clearing. "Some cat's gotta clean this up, and," They looked back at Snowypaw. "That's the worst way to do things." They looked at their pelt. "/And/ you got me all dirty!" The last one was more of a snarl then anything. She dug her claws into the dirt, she really wanted to nick an ear or two, but you can't attack clanmates, no matter how dumb they act. "Why in starclan's name did you not look around first!"

Snowypaw frowned in mild concern once again, this time because of the fact that he feared he might have been right. There really was no reason for this kit to not have friends at his age. It would have been fine, of course, if Twigkit simply preferred it this way, but the way the green in his eyes almost seemed to mute itself with sorrow at his question, the large apprentice doubted this was the case. Pursing his lips so his whiskers twitched lightly, Snowypaw lifted his head as he brought one massive paw to his chin, tapping it rhythmically as he got lost in thought.

He could of course try to help the kit find friends, but he was hardly the savant when it came to talking and charming others, giving him no real advice to offer. The large tom supposed he could also encourage Twigkit to be more open to talking to others in an attempt to form friendships, but he was afraid that there he was once more out of his depth. The closest Snowypaw had to friends in WindClan were Deadmoon and Specklepaw, both cats who were really far too patient with him and who he could never be so bold as to proclaim himself as their friend. No no, those two were priceless, amazing cats. A clumsy oaf like him had no business being so familiar as to overstep in their relationship. He was just grateful to be gifted with their company whenever he had it. What helping words of encouragement could he offer Twigkit with his own situation being the way it was?

A sigh escaped the patched tom in frustration as he set his paw back down. Could he really not help his small companion? He tilted his head to the side as he glanced at Twigkit once more, refusing to give up. This young kit's kindness and friendliness could not be squashed before it had a proper time to blossom! Well... if he had no words of wisdom to offer, he supposed he could always offer himself as a mediocre substitute for friends? Until the youngster had found proper friends of his own, of course! He wouldn't want to impose for longer than Twigkit needed him to! A small gleam of determination crossed his eyes for a moment as his jaw set, his whiskers twitching before he spoke.

"W-well... I would be happy to come around after training every day, if you want? Y-you could tell me about your day, or we could play something you like?" he stammered slightly in his usual, soft voice, unused to being so bold and demanding when he spoke. Oh, he certainly hoped he hadn't just offended poor Twigkit with a misplaced attempt at being friendly.
