Clara pointed at the sky. She likes Skywater? Just like Tail-Wagger! (Dog) Halfheart didn't mind it very much, but she didn't think it was too awesome. She rubbed her side against Clara's legs, her fur becoming plastered to her skinny frame.

Halfheart lost her in there, and within a few minutes, a bright flash of light was seen near the living room, followed by a huge clap of thunder, and a loud crash was heard from the living room, followed by a scream. The ceiling had been struck by lightning, causing the entire ceiling to collapse, and Clara had been standing under it when it happened. Now the girl was trapped under all that roof stuff, unable to move or call for help. --

Halfheart was staring into the sky, when she felt a loud this in the ground reach her paws. She turned to the old structure, her eyes wide in shock as the roof collapsed inward. Wait... Clara? She had just gone in there, right? Oh no... Halfheart raced over to the entrance, then tapped the rubble with her paw in case it was dangerous. She didn't care either way, she picked her way through to where she last saw Clara.

Halfheart started to panic. There was blood everywhere, and she couldn't see her friend. The small cat started carefully digging through the collapsed roof, trying not to disturb too many things. It took her a second to move a larger chunk of it, but as soon as she did, Halfheart felt a wave of relief. Underneath it there was a hand. She nudged it to see if Clara was more okay than she thought.

That was good, very good! Halfheart scraped away some more of the debris where she thought Clara's face would be.

-- The debris slowly fell as Halfheart cleared, but the cat managed to free one of Clara's feet, which was bleeding beyond belief, and her other hand. After about five minutes, the entire pile of debris started moving on its own. Both hands clenched their fingers lightly and moved inward, and her foot doing the same as if Clara was trying to lift herself up. --
