She flicked her tail, hoping her mentor wouldn't call her for a training session. The wind whistled in her ears wildly and a leaf blew onto her face. Blowing it away, she looked up at the clouds in the leaf-bare sky. A cloud was shaped like a bird, with a hefty tail.

MaskPaw looked at her"Used to mean cats...?" He meowed quietly, the apprentice looked at his squirrel "Im sorry im mean..." he stared at owlPaw, "How about we start over?" MaskPaw then said smiling nervously.
His Black and white fur ruffled as the wind blew past them, Is that cloud shaped like a bird or is it just me? He took a bite out of squirrel only just realizing how hungry He really was. (Shortnesss :/)

Badgerkit chuckled, "Haha, sorry, I forgot," she chuckled as she turned her blue eyes (will turn hazel later) toward Leapkit. "Nuhhh, I will win you coward!" she squealed.

She raised a back leg and itched behind her ear, jaws parting in a trifling yawn. I'd think her warrior name to be Sweetheart. Nightpool's green eyes laughed heartily, not mockingly.
She looked at the upper atmosphere, its wild blue yonder swirling and brewing calmly and sedately. She glanced back down at Ibisprowl as he hesitated, attempting not to make him feel exorbitantly pressured. As if he already isn't, the poor thing, thought Nightpool with pity. Her shadow wagged behind her, her holly-green orbs delineating the blades of grass before her.
At Ibisprowl's next question, Nightpool gladly replied, happy that the antisocial tomcat was speaking for once. Difficult to teach? Nightpool wondered, the black-and-white warrior's words reiterating in her skull. She ruminated the question carefully and tangibly, until she remembered the personalities of the vernal young cats. "Ah, yes," she mewed.
"Beepaw was definitely the hardest to train. Maybe that was because he was first. Beepaw fought for his life against me, and thought that everything was unfair. He had an interesting tabby pelt, though, and always-slitted amber eyes." Nightpool recalled the feisty apprentice scarcely and imperceptibly. "Yes, he was the hardest." The elder licked a paw, before continuing. "Him and Brindlepaw. She, too, clawed her way to victory. She was my last apprentice, but she was toughened by the harshness of life," sighed Nightpool. "Sweetpaw understands you, does she not?" asked Nightpool, tilting her head to her shoulder.

Seeing that the elder wasn't taking more bites of the meal, the black and white patched cat realized the hunger that was gnawing at his stomach and tentatively leaned his head back to the frog to take another bite, also not wanting the poor creatures corpse to go to waste, so as he sunk his teeth into it's body again. He focused his attention on Nightpool as she agreed in a muffled tone, his teeth making quick work of the flesh he had enclosed in his maw, his mind more focused on the elder at this moment than the food his was devouring which was good so that he wouldn't feel the guilt he usually got of eating the once living creature. But as silence fell between them again, he found his gaze wandering away to look at other cats in the clearing, small groups of apprentices talking, warriors, cats alone and eating, cats napping and he wondered.. Just how they could feel so.. Relaxed. Didn't they have internal conflicts like him? Weren't they bothered by something? How come they almost always seemed happy? His bobbed tail twitched and he scowled a moment, a burning look of envy there for a moment. Why couldn't he be happy like them? They're the ones that made him like this.
And that thought caused his mind to start turning on itself again, about how it was either his fault for being like this, or their fault, that he should stop letting others affect him and on and on, causing a growing look of frustration to cross his face, looking out of place considering nothing was said to cause it before eventually he heaved out a sigh and laid his head in his paws, clenching his eyes shut and mentally screaming for his mind to stop, which it did, leaving him to a momentary peace of mind. When his mind stopped arguing, he opened his eyes again and glanced back to Nightpool.
Cats always looked at him weird because he always had these strange bursts of emotions, one moment he would be sitting there with a blank expression and then the next he was angry, or frustrated and then seconds later he would return to that blank face, as if his face was a cloudy sky and occasionally the clouds parted to reveal the true emotions raging inside of him, only to be covered up again a few seconds later. But no cat ever really asked about it because he would surely snap at them, considering he had a rather short temper and would even snap at a kit if they bugged him at the wrong moment. Albeit he'll feel bad right after, but he will snap at them nonetheless. No cat really bothered getting to know why he was so short-tempered, they simply left him alone and he saw it as abandoning him, causing him to have an even worse perception about other cats.
When she began to answer his question, Ibisprowl looked back over at her, lifting his head from his paws and trying on his awkward, polite smile again before dropping it, it was too much energy to keep up that kind of act, it felt unnatural. After she spoke, he nodded his head a bit with a shudder of nervousness, glancing away.
"I-I hope I don't.. Get a um, a hard apprentice. I'm not good with dealing with.. Others." Meowed the tom in his quiet voice, glancing over again before looking around the clearing.
"S-So um, what... What are you plans for u-uh, today?" Questioned the tom, trying to make lighthearted, general conversation, imagining that this is what other cats talk about and hoping it wasn't too awkward for the elder. He just wanted to try to be normal for once, be like the other cats instead of secluding himself to the side of the clearing, practically hiding from social interaction for fear of being left behind again.

Twilightpaw smiled at her new friend. "If i am your mentor, i promise i'll be the best one ever." she said, feeling very happy to have finally made a friend in her clan. Mistkit will be a great warrior one day, just like his father. He's really good at pouncing, despite his blindness. Twilightpaw thought, He just needs a little help. and i'm going to do the best i can to give him that help.

As Ibisprowl discreetly took a flavourful bite of the frog, Nightpool waited. She wondered about Sweetpaw's personality, and such deductions like that. The elder seemed to enjoy his company, as any cat would, and didn't mind the shyness he held. She laved her paw, giving it a look that was shiny.
When Ibisprowl's gaze strayed, she frowned. She made sure to return to her normal appearance. She was a bit bigger than the black-and-white hued tom, yet still friendly. Nightpool saw hatred cloud his eyes, and she siphoned her smile, in replacement for a linear estuary. She saw his gaze directed towards a group of leisurely felines, and she thought that perhaps he was envious about their... easiness with social interaction? Nightpool guessed this, since he seemed eremetic.
When he turned around and his expression simmered to blankness, Nightpool made sure that she looked fine, too. She gave a kind smile, hoping that Ibisprowl's conflicted thoughts wouldn't blame her. As the tom spoke, she nodded. "Apprentices like Beepaw didn't help my personality; I was a grouch for 6 moons!" laughed Nightpool, in agreement.
When he asked what she would do later in the day, she raised her whiskery eyebrows. "Oh, hanging out with Splashcreek and relaxing... I have no freedom when it comes to being an elder!" joked Nightpool. She thought of her blind mate, Splashcreek, with pride. He was such a great companion, and she hoped that Sweetpaw was the same to Ibisprowl.

The tall snowshoe pulled back and smiled down at the kit, his attention locked on to the molly in front of him, nothing else, no one else. After a few moments he snapped back into reality and whipped his head around, so that he was facing the Warriors den, his curiosity kicked in as he spotted a pair of Warriors pad out, he wanted to see inside, see I felt it truely looked as big on the inside as it did the outside. The young tom picked himself up and stalked in that direction, his head lowered and his tail straight, aligned with his back, his blue hues locked onto the den, he couldnt help it, he was a kit, a young kit, who craved adventure, excitement, and at the moment, this was as close as he could get. "Wanna come look at it with me?" he asked, swiveling his head so he could look at the other out of the corner of his eye, hoping to see her following him already.

The kit's vim radiated from him; The spitting image of what all kits portrayed when they scrambled around camp and made such a ruckus. But the honor it had in the face of an elder- What a fine lad!
"Now aren't you ma's lil' wuss!" Acorntuft mrrowed razzly with his thick Irish tongue, rolling onto his side so he held his head up with a paw. The gaze he cast down on the grey thing was a perfect depiction of everything he was thinking, note a hint of mockery. "Ight, ight, how'bout you go bin honkerin' and fetch me a classfull meal, lad. Can't cater to your story-telling-needs on a growlin' stomach, now can I?" Now if this cat wasn't a childish, tale-seeking kit, Acorntuft's over-exaggeration would be clear as day.
|
{Right? This is too cute~}
Sootkit blinked, processing the elders statement, it was slightly hard to understand what he was saying with his deep accent, though he didn't really know what the accent was, Irish perhaps? He quickly dismissed his conversation with himself and focused his attention back onto Acorntuft, his whiskers quivered with anticipation as he began to speak once more, trying to get the gist of what the elder was asking of him, after a few seconds he got it "Of course! I'll get you the biggest piece of prey I can find!" he yipped, excitement evident in his golden hues, it wasn't everyday that an elder asked him to do a favor for them, he felt useful, helpful to them, equivalent exchange, they tell him a story, he gets them food, except this is the first time that this exchange has happned, made him happy it finally began to work. He was out of the den in a few strides, his large and bulky figure makes him seem as though he was twice his age, his struts as large as other Warriors, it allowed him to get from place to place quicker, most have mistaken him for an apprentice, asking him to go out and fetch moss, but he would ever break the code, never disobey clan rules, that wasn't the type of tom he was. Within a few moments he pushed his way back in to the Elders den, a fairly large frog clamped between his jaws, its limp legs swinging around as he waddled back to the older tom. The smokey grey Siberian plopped the frog infront of the brown elder and sat himself down across from the tom, neatly wrapping his tail around his paws, he suspected the elder wanted to eat before he told his tales, he he waited, patiently, fantasizing the tales that were to be told, and the ones that were told. As his mind drifted he hoped that he got the elder the type of prey he wished to eat, wondering if he detested frogs, or maybe he got the elder the perfect meal, whatever the elder thought of the frog, he hoped he wouldn't get annoyed, he's annoyed an elder once by accident, it wasn't the prettiest moment in his little life, so he hoped, with all his being, that he did not anger and or annoy the elder.

@ Lost Illusion
Stromheart padded into the ShadowClan clearing. She felt a bit nervous walking with Cloud in her clan, she was more afraid that Halestar wouldnt let him sleep here for the night.
