Squirrelpaw shook her head and leaped to the side. She noticed her mentors tiredness and asked “Do you have more to teach me orrr...can we hunt? Or I can take care of the elders?” The apprentice didn’t want her mentor to be offended so she faked her own exhaustion.

the sound of moving bushes echoed through the forest from a near by location and a loner the age of a apprentice came out of the bushes very badly injured and looked at the cats her eyes filled with fear and pain as if begging for help then the app aged cat fell to the ground blood pools forming in rapid paces

Ebonypaw's ears flicked up with delight as Larkshine gave him the lead. His paws tingled, waiting to wrap around something. "Erm, okay let's see..." Ebonypaw Immediately thought of the small grove his mentor had brought him to once to train in the trees. There were many trees close, but mice and birds often went on the ground to find food. Pointing his head in the direction, he proceeded to lead Larkshine through the forest, coming upon the brambles and briars. "Careful, this is the hard part," He mewed, trying to push himself through.

Swallowshine thought for a moment, wrinkling her nose. Who wants to do elders work? Out loud she mewed, "No, we can hunt." She could see Squirrelpaw's worry in her eyes, and the enthusiasm behind a layer of fake exhaustion. She didn't want to let her apprentice down. "I'm not that old yet." Swallowshine informed her, leading her out of the Training Cave.

Re: ThunderClan Territory
Squirrelpaw snorted in amusement as she followed into the forest. “I know your not old Swallowshine but we all need a break now and then before we over work ourselves.” She replied hoping it wasn’t the wrong thing to say. Her gaze traveled around the forest, eagerly searching for prey.

However, as Sabbia explored the lush greenery of the landscape, he didn’t like the feeling of blades of grass on the bottom of his paw pads. They didn’t sink in like they done when he relaxed on the sand. To say the least, Sabbia was new to most things in this area. He never ventured this far from home. “Excuse you, what, Signorina? Must you make dirt?” Sabbia didn’t know she was confused by him. He just thought she was holding something in and wanted to go pass him to let it out. He would had gladly stepped out of her way of she needed it. Or, maybe she didn’t catch what he told her? Whenever he was nervous or startled, he’d let out a bunch of jumbled words from his mother’s language. However, Sabbia was pretty clueless, so he thought far from the fact that she must had been confused by his sudden change of language and tone.
As much as Sabbia hated the feeling of dirt and grass, he found himself looking around the area. It was very pretty here. If one thing Sabbia loves, it was the scenery. The forest wasn’t compared to the perfect bright view of his beach, but it was still all around pretty. When he looked up, he saw large trees looming over him, their leaves swaying gently. The sunlight that poured through the cracks of the branches left him awestruck. He almost forgot that this demonic Molly (in his opinion) looked like she was ready to tear him to pieces for intruding. His ears had flicked, directing towards her as she spoke hastily about the clans. It was a vague response, not much Sabbbia could learn about it. Thunder-Clan could had been a cat for all he knew. On the beach, no one owned that territory. It was just Sabbia and his family; his mother, his father, and brother. Two languages that were never crossed so the brothers delved into learning both. His brother preferred talking in their mother’s native language where Sabbia altered between the two. It was odd knowing his parents never understood each other, but they found love somehow. Now, Sabbia was alone and that was his beach. And...it wasn’t even his. “This - this - this - what was it that you called this place?” Sabbia questioned. “Is that a...cat? Could you bring me to this...Thunder-whatchamacallit?” Maybe this Thunder-Clan knew navigation well and could direct him back to the beach. It was really odd in his opinion to meet a cat named such. But, Sabbia didn’t judged. He stared at the ragdoll with a twitch of his whiskers. His sandy fur ruffled, appearing like ruffles around him as he eyed her curiously.
He was taken aback by her hostility, and Sabbia had lifted a paw like he was ready to bolt another way, but he didn’t know the forest. Besides, for all he knew, she might be a lot faster than him. So, Sabbia tried his best to remain calm. Sabbia wasn’t a rude cat if he didn’t have a grudge against them. For this she cat to be so...territorial, made him ponder if he was doing the smart thing by challenging her. He kept a cool manner, so he wasn’t really challenging her. He stated he wasn’t a threat, so why was she so bothered? “Signorina...I don’t even know what I’m doing here, so how can I tell you something that I don’t know myself?” The tom stressed out, shaking his head vigorously. Ay! Sto facendo la mia testa... “Please, step down. If you can’t help me, tell me to turn away.” Sabbia had been here since dawn. Since he watched the sun coming up from behind that magnificent ocean. He couldn’t recall why he suddenly found this greenery so interesting. The dirt felt icky. The grass felt too uncomfortable. He stepped a bit closer to the she cat, a cautious step. He flicked his ears back. “I’d appreciate all the help I can get. I’ll even owe you one.” Sabbia promised. He wanted to get back home, any help to get back to his sandy ocean, but little did he know that this place would end up a big significant part in his life.
|
As the Ragdoll waited for a reply from the tom, she examined him, trying to see if there was any useful information that she could gather just from staring at him. There was a gentle breeze blowing past and the she-cat opened her mouth very slightly, trying her best not to look suspicious. She tasted the air and caught a whiff of an unfamiliar scent. It was somewhat familiar but not a scent that she was used to smelling. She could’ve sworn that she’d smelt it before, but she couldn’t quite place her paw on what it was. She frowned for a moment, deep in thought and completely forgetting that the tom was still standing there. It was only once he spoke again that she was brought out of her thoughts and immediately forgot about her curiosity once she had processed his question. She felt her pelt heat up in embarrassment and she looked sheepishly down at the ground. She gave her chest fur a lick before looking up bravely. She had nothing to be ashamed of. It wasn’t like her response had been an embarrassing statement. It was just that the tom had somehow managed to make two simple words into something a little more private. Of course, Featherpaw couldn’t understand half the things that the tom was saying, but this was something that she was very sure of what he was saying. “W-What? No, of course not! I never said that,” she stammered. It wasn’t as if saying that you needed to make dirt was embarrassing, but personally Featherpaw preferred to keep that information to herself.
The white furred molly looked away with what appeared to be an angry expression, but really just made her look like she was very uncomfortable, although that wasn’t entirely wrong either. It was the apprentice’s attempt at covering up her moment of embarrassment. She had to stay strong. She couldn’t let a few words distract her from looking fierce. If she couldn’t even look fierce without getting distracted then how was she supposed to fight him without getting distracted (if she needed to fight him that is). Featherpaw glared at the tom, clearly quite upset that he had wrecked her first chance at intimidating an opponent. It wasn’t long before she shifted the glare to an expression that basically said ‘are you stupid?’. Now Featherpaw didn’t usually call cats stupid. After all, she was a sweet cat and she didn’t like being mean, but this was an enemy and she felt that she had every right to look at him if he was stupid after asking if ‘a ThunderClan’ was a Cat. Didn’t this cat know any english? The apprentice looked at the tom as if he were from another planet. Her eyes narrowed suspiciously. He was much stranger than any of the other cats that she had met before him. But then again, she hadn’t really met many of the cats out of her clan, so she couldn’t really say anything. Still, she was judging him despite what the nicer part of her brain was telling her.
“ThunderClan? A cat? It isn’t a cat,” she said, her voice sounding rather unfriendly. “Half of the name basically says what it is,” she said, looking at him with an uneasy gaze. This tom was unnaturally weird and it was starting to make her uncomfortable. First, he seemed to be speaking another language. Second, he smelt very strange, unlike what any of the other clans smelt or the areas around them. Third, he seemed to have terrible English. He was definitely very suspicious.
The Ragdoll molly let out an exasperated sigh as the tom responded to another one of her questions. How could a cat possibly be so lost? As he pleaded with her to step down, a small part of her heart softened and she couldn’t help but sympathise the tom. Her icy blue gaze became less cold and the hostility in it seemed to melt away. It seemed that the golden-hearted side of her was starting to come out. Stop it! A sharp voice suddenly cut in through her mind as she prepared herself to step down and help the tom out. She paused, frozen for a moment as she thought about what she would do. She used this time to remind herself that the tom was an enemy as he was a stranger in her clan’s territory, meaning that he had to be chased out. No matter how much she might pity the tom, she had to stay loyal to her clan and defend her clan. The clan would always come first.
Eventually, Featherpaw came to a final decision after a minute of silence. She had basically made a compromise with the softer side of her and the fiercer side of her. She would try and help the tom but would refuse if he asked too much of her. “Fine. What do you want help with?” she asked warily, never daring to unsheath her claws.

Larkshine stared at the brambles and briers ahead of her. She shook out her fur and prepared to shove her way through the prickly plants. The warrior finally stepped into the the brambles and carefully plucked her way through it, some of the thorns pricking her sides. Larkshine gave a small hiss as this happened, her pace slightly quickening just so she could get out of it quicker. "You okay up there, Ebonypaw?" She asked, knowing the brambles and briers were very annoying.

"most cats deem me idiotic due to my habit to sleep all the time. or they say i am childish. but i've learned to shrug most of it away," his voice was uncertain, but he spoke with words of confidence. powdernose blinked and sighed. "next question?"
"i'm not a fish, what do you think?" her words were playful, teasing alabasterpaw. eyes bright with amusement, she smirked and padded around in a circle, watching the other apprentice intently. irispaw's tail lashed before she quickly darted towards the silvery she-cat, prodding her flank before darting off. "you're it!" she called back, an evident purr in her voice even as she ran.
as the scent of blood still curled in her nostrils, irispaw's heart rate spiked. you're it. a malicious expression curled onto her face until she shook it away. not now. the tuxedo apprentice jumped up against a tree, springing herself off of it to move faster. after a few heartbeats, irispaw looked back, then made a sharp turn and zigzagged her way through the trees.
once his counting had raised to fifteen, powdernose raised his head, albeit smacking it against a root. "ow," he muttered, flattening his ears. shaking his head, the deputy padded around, almost bouncing on his paws with every step. his tail waved around behind him and he was sure to remain quiet, even as his paws made tiny pattering noises upon the forest floor. where is he? powdernose stopped and sniffed, his mouth open to try and catch any trail that stonegazer must have left behind. smelling nothing, the smaller tom frowned.
many, many heartbeats passed by as powdernose scoured the territory for stonegazer's hiding spot. he had looked in the largest places that he could hide, knowing that the tom was rather burly. his ears flattened and and sat down in the same clearing as before, letting out a frustrated cry. "where are you?" he called, pouting as he admitted defeat. this was a waste of perfectly precious time that i could have been chasing him with, thought powdernose, his eyes narrowed with annoyance towards himself.
|
The frustrated cry carried over to Stonegazer’s hiding spot - the tom was surprised that Powdernose was giving up already, but then again, he wasn’t sure how much time had passed. The gray tom eventually crawled out from his hiding spot after a few more moments, and padded soundlessly in the direction of the younger deputy. ”Behind you,” He answered once he was, indeed, just a few short pawsteps behind the feline. Blue eyes twinkled in what could be taken as laughter as he curled his tail around his paws, sitting upright and rigid in the fashion he normally did, watching Powdernose almost curiously.
”So does this mean I won the game? And am I supposed to count while you hide, now? Or do you count again?” The tom asked. He wouldn’t risk using the same hiding spot if it was his latter suggestion - that would be far too risky. But, there were tons of other good spots he could find… given a suitable amount of time, of course. Stonegazer supposed he’d have to use a less-good hiding area next time so that the smaller tom could find him more easily. Then the young deputy would probably smile. Stonegazer liked that smile, it was… friendly, and warm. It reminded him of his Mother, a little bit - or perhaps of a former apprentice of his. He couldn’t quite place where the memory came from, but he quite liked it.

the deputy turned around with a start, a soft squeak sounding from his throat. "don't scare me like that," powdernose whined, stamping his paw. tail lashing, he turned away with frustration, huffing with embarrassment. "whatever," he grumbled, "you count this time. i'm gonna make sure you never find me!" his eyes brightened up once again as he quickly looked around, searching for a place to hide. powdernose's tail flicked as he turned back to stonegazer, waiting for him to begin counting before he ran off.
his paws were soft, quiet against the ground with every step. the tom's fur was contrasted by the forest, being lightly toned. no matter what, powdernose raced away from the clearing, going in the opposite direction of his hiding spot. once far enough, he suddenly turned, circling around and leaping into the space. it was quite obvious where he was, being curled into a small bush. the leaves had barely even grown back, but the way he had positioned himself, it was almost too obvious. yet, powdernose knew how sometimes the most obvious of things can be bypassed, if gone through correctly.
making himself as still as possible, the siamese closed his eyes, save for the occasional twitch of his tail. he waited patiently, nostrils flaring as every breath was breathed shallowly. i hope he doesn't look too closely, he thought, flattening his ears. his tail was curled over his muzzle, his body positioned around the base of the bush. this is stupid, powdernose complained mentally, albeit not having enough time to change his spot.
