The large silver pelted warrior made his way over to Icestar's den, a little tired and a few new battle scars to add to his already impressive display of them. "Icestar, I've come to report on the Dusk patrol to the Riverclan border." He waited a moment before continuing. "On the way to the border we found some fresh fox tracks and the the fox itself. I assumed it was the one that attacked my apprentice, Emberpaw. It looked half starved and went after Faithpaw." He still wasn't sure if that fox was sick or delirious with hunger. He doubted any sane predator would have attacked so close to camp or gone after an apprentice with a patrol of full grown cats watching over her. "We managed to wound it rather deeply and chase if off, although I'm uncertain of it will stay away for good. We also got the borders remarked as you ordered." He finished his report.

Icestar could not suppress a purr of delight as she listened to what the patrols had to report. It sounded as if all was going well, and patrols were completed on time, despite the hindrances the two groups seemed to have faced.


"Thank you Dawnstripe, Beastspark. I would expect nothing less from two of my most gifted warriors. We will be sure to keep an eye out for that fox. If it's that delirious, it will either die off soon, or it will come back. If it comes to the latter, we will be prepared for it. And I will be sure to have a word with the slackers of your patrol, daughter. You did well to continue without them. Without you in charge, those borders would not have been marked at all.

You may both take tomorrow off. You have done well, in spite of all the odds that were against you." The leader seemed to be in an unusually cheery mood as she addressed her warriors. These were two cats who had never disappointed her. She hoped she could continue to rely on them.

A small calico tom lay curled up in his nest, hidden in the shadows of the den. His tail was placed over his nose, chest rising and falling gently. Quiet snores danced from his throat while he rested, accompanied by short sniffles. The tom, Sweetpaw, was napping after doing some apprentice chores around the camp. He was exhausted, his frail body being much weaker than the other apprentices. It was easy for him to become tired- which he certainly was. His ears fluttered as he pranced along in a dream, all sickness forgotten in the vast imagination of the young apprentice. Sweetpaw was at peace.

Blue couldn't help but chuckle at her straightforwardness, even better that it was spoken with annoyance. She was enjoyable for sure-- though he was fairly certain she didn't feel the same way about him. But he could care less what she thought. "Yes, I suppose that sums it up pretty well." He bobbed his head as if in confirmation, then placed his paws neatly together in front of him.

"Alright," he sighed. Let's get this over with. "So, what did you want to do today? Fight, I presume, since we've conveniently met here?" He gestured to the training grounds with slight irritation. He wasn't crazy about that kind of training -- it would mess his perfect pelt -- but it was apparently a Clan requirement. "I have no preferences. You choose."

She smirked,” I’d love to leave you limping around in misery. I think it’d be fun.” She smuggly remarked casually unsheathing her claws.

Crowtail's Patrols

Crowtail padded out of the warriors den, up and ready to get others working. There was a fire sparked in his eyes and he wanted to get his patrols out before the leader got hers. The deputy stood in the middle of the clearing.

Thunderclan Border Patrol
Leader: Snowfrost @Moonraven;
Patrol Members: Rabbitpaw @mochi; and Snowflower @Starfall;
Prompt: A warrior of Thunderclan is scented on the Shadowclan border
Crowtail looked at Snowfrost and her apprentice Rabbitpaw and then looked at Snowflower. "I want you three to check out the Thunderclan border!", he demanded to the three cats. He didn't wait for an answerand hoped they would do it and if they don't they had him to speak to. The deputy didn't want any lazy cats in the clan. He will no longer be laid back and more determined for these patrols to get done.

Windclan Border Patrols
Leader: Cascadespirit @Nebby;
Patrol Members: Strawberrythorn @RedHead; and Jaywing @canine;
Prompt: A fox is seen by the border, but flees once it sees the patrol.
Crowtail turned to another group of cats for the Windclan patrol. "Cascadespirit, Strawberrythorn, and Jawywing. I need you three to check the Windclan border and put up the scent markers
We must show them that we will not stand for thier cats crossing the border!", he ordered. Crowtail waited in the clearing to make sure those cats knew what they were to do.

Cascadespirit trotted over to the cats Crowtail had pointed out. He flicked his tail at Jaywing and Strawberrythorn. "When your ready, we can head out." The young tom mewed.

"Which one?" Tigerfur was comfortable with his former mentor, so he felt fine making jokes like that with her... However, his face turned red as he noticed Butternutsun next to him.

Shadyheart looked at his former apprentice, not waiting for the other cat who was supposed to show up. "We will do the dizzyness technique. ", he meowed. This was a move he used a lot in battle. It was to confuse and make them dizzy to where they have trouble seeing them.

Snowfrost tail lashed softly as Crowtail turned his attention to her and her apprentice, she did not like his tone of voice, he reminded her too much of Icestar. Here she was hoping to have at least one cat that wasn't an utter snobby control freak who allowed their rank to go to their head, her faith was apparently misplaced. How disappointing that was... Despite her annoyance with the deputy, she kept herself in control of her emotions and waited to make sure her small patrol was ready to set off.

Whiteshadow peered at the tom known as Bramblepelt with bleak interest, the warrior's actions contradicted his words?! Perhaps it was years of being silent and observant, the senior warrior was rather good at reading those unspoken words from the body language. It seemed to him that was looking forward to hunting, somewhat, the fact that he had gotten up at all meant something. The tom found that Crowtail didn't have much patience for Bramblepelt little game, though. He had quite the short fuse, didn't he? Whiteshadow left well enough alone for right now and moved to follow the clan deputy as he led the way out of the camp.

Dawnstripe padded away from her mother's den in higher spirits than earlier. She did so enjoy being praised by Icestar, she was a little touchy about the fact that the outsider her mother seemed to trust so much was also included in said praise, yet for the whole of it, she was pleased. Her thoughts drifted back to those two other toms, Jaywing and Foxleaf. Just like that, her mood was sour again. The large warrior barely visibly portrayed her agitation, she seethed and ranted internally whereas outwardly she was the picture-perfect figure of tranquility and composure.

Her tail stopped swing back and forth like a pendulum when she felt something bump into her. She turned her head, looking down her nose, with a fierce glare at the one who had run into her. Her eyes diminished just a tad at the sight of the apprentice, Flower-- or no that wasn't right. Her name was changed.

"You're Midnightpaw, correct?" She carried on after asking the rhetorical question. "Congratulations on the name change, it's is far more befitting." Her voice was sweet as honey with a hint of acid in it. Dawnstripe made of point of playing nice with the kin her mother seemed to get along with. She wasn't fond of the apprentice's weakling of a mother, nor her rogue of a father that stole Dawnstripe's much-deserved rank, but Midnightpaw was still young and had her vision, with the right training and influence she was sure the apprentice would make a decent warrior for Icestar's use in the future.

Rabbitpaw
The small apprentice glanced over at her mentor as the senior warrior lashed her tail. It didn't take a genius to see Snowfrost wasn't too happy, and it caused a slight frown to twitch at the corner of Rabbitpaw's maw. She knew her mentor wasnt too fond of Icestar either, and while Rabbitpaw looked up to their powerful leader, she made sure not to say anything about it in front of Snowfrost. She knew better than to argue with her mentor on the topic, whom she looked up to even more than Icestar - even with Snowfrost's dislike of the huge she-cat.

There was one thing she could agree on with her mentor and that was the distaste towards Crowtail. She'd never gotten over the fact a mere rogue had been chosen as deputy, and while her fury had calmed over time it still irked her enough to make her pelt bristle at his voice. Nevertheless, like her mentor she held her tongue, choosing instead to pad over to Snowfrost's side, giving a flick of her tail in greeting as he looked around for their third party member.
