Troutkit finishes counting before setting off to find Honeykit. He exists the nursery and scans the clearing. Troutkit doesn't see Honeykit anywhere, so he starts sniffing for them which promptly amounts to nothing. He starts wondering around the clearing looking in any hiding place he can think of!

Honeykit snickered as they watched Troutkit terrorize the clearing. But they were getting bored, so Honeykit finally padded from their hiding place, and ran into Troutkit, batting at his tail. "Why don't we play a different game, excellent seeker?"Honeykit teased him.

Troutkit jumps in surprise and turns to Honeykit. "Oh! I found you!" he says, regaining his composure. "And sure, we can play a different game! How about Cat and Mouse!" Troutkit tags Honeykit and then rushes off laughing!

Honeykit hissed playfully and quickly gained speed, and just as when they thoguht they were going to catch Troutkit, they tripped and fell on their face. "Oof!"

Troutkit looks over his shoulder and laughs at Honeykit falling on their face, and then trips over his own feet!

Honeykit looked up and bursted with laughter. "You mouse-brain! Watch where you put your feet before you really hurt yourself!" Honeykit then stood up and trotted to Troutkit, beaming. "Here, I'll help you up," Honeykit offered.

The marbled tom-kit watched in wonderment. How was this tom not real? His maw parted as the unfamiliar tom leaned closer, finding himself staring into the tom's eyes in awe. "Did it hurt when you fell?" Palekit asked after a moment, standing up and beginning to circle around the tom. He prodded at the wounds and medicine placed along firey fur, though his ears flattened in confusion as he was able to touch the tom's pelt. "How come I can touch you if you're not real? Did you get these ouchies from falling?" he questioned, moving back to sit in front of him.

Palekit's lips were still a frown as he looked at Honeykit, squinting to make sure that they weren't lying. After a few heartbeats, he perked up and became a happy-go-lucky kit once more. "I'm not that small! The food pile is just big!" he argued, stomping his foot down in mock anger. The tom-kit giggled and circled around Honeykit, head tilted to the side. "It's your turn to hide!"

He really was done in by whoever he fought. Violetpaw really hadn't been paying attention to the warriors that had come back, just catching that the Frostfall guy died. Though it was slightly surprising to see Thistlestep all beat up. Maybe he wasn't so mean and tough like she thought.
Blinking the grey-brown tabby brought herself to reality again. "Actually I have..." She meowed a bit irritated by his uninteresting gaze. "That's why I want to ask you something." Violetpaw decided. Now. How to word it. She wanted a real answer not some blown off whatever he could say. Her ears swerved back again. Only to return in an upright state. "What's the point to being a warrior? You asked me if I wanted to, I didn't know. So, what is the point? Is there a reason why cats become a warrior besides just because they are born in the Clan?" She asked maintaining a more serious nature. "It would seem pointless if the Clan didn't even want you there." Violetpaw added.

If Thistlestep had been asked what happened, he might've even admitted he had allowed his emotions control him. He'd been careless, caught up with his frustrations of fighting a she-cat that was like.. a more annoying Lionstar.. that he left himself exposed to several brutal injuries.

Killing her had been a delight.

"Because it gives you a purpose."

Plain and simple.

"That's the thing you're not getting, Violetpaw. You're so focused on yourself, and how you feel, and how unfair it is your family isn't around because you feel this place owes you something. But that's not how it works.

"I'm just the Clan would love to have you, but you need to be open to interacting with your Clan-mates. You're so closed off from everyone else I'm not convinced you've talked to anyone in this Clan except me."

They decided to hide in the camp where there was tall grass. He'll never find me here! Honeykit thought with satisfaction.

Honeykit sat there, watching the clan. They swished their tail back and forth, wondering if anyone would bother to talk to the little kit. They really loved company, and was hoping to talk to another cat.
