Cloverwish shut her jaws, eyes narrowing. Sometimes, I wish I could actually talk to this slug of a cat. "Have it your way." She turned away, treading slowly into the mist crowding the trees.

While she decided to let her She-catly Emotions get the best of her-- not surprising, really-- she seemed.. off.

Falconpaw decided it was not his problem. If she could not handle a discussion properly, that was her issue.

Shaking his head, he turned and headed toward the outskirts. Maybe there would be something more.. interesting out there, before he hunted and returned to camp. He still did not feel ready to go back.

The apprentice thought about her words for moment, trying to think of how they used taste in hunting but.. "..i-I don't kn-know.." she answered quietly and a little embarrassed. was this something she was supposed to already know? the thought made her feel a bit more nervous than she already was and it had her mind make up ideas like disappointing her mentor for the lack of knowledge. In fact, she didn't even know they used taste in hunting!

Silently bashing herself as she didn't want her apprentice to have to worry around her. "Well let's say your nose is stuffy. If you open your maw and just breathe in and out from there you can 'taste' the scents around you." Stormlily demonstrated what she meant, hopefully clearing up Nightpaw's confusion.

Nightpaw returned a small smile- sure it was a bit nervous- but still a smile. Stormlily seemed to be much nicer than she had initially expected, which Nightpaw was only happy about.
The apprentice slightly tilted her head as her mentor explained the use of taste in hunting to her. She tried to slightly copy the thing Stormlily did, it taking a few moments before the apprentice sonewhat understood what her mentor meant. Even though she didn't fully understand it yet. She gave a small nod as she pondered over the words "o-okay..?" Nightpaw said a little unsure.

"Ew. What a mess this is out here." Lightbubble commented as he padded through the territory, muddy with the recent snowmelt. He always hated getting his paws dirty, but he knew that living in a marsh, he'd have to make that sacrifice if he wanted to get some excercise. He had to keep himself thin and fit somehow. Lightbubble couldn't be handsome if he was lugging too much weight around, now could he? Other cats may be able to pull that off, but the tom doubted his ability in that aspect.

Honeyleaf was trotting back to camp and tried to avoid the mud, she spotted lightbubble and purred, "geez this mud is going to be the death of me!" she giggled and leapt over to the tom, "though I am glad new-leaf is finally here." she sighed with a smile. honeyleaf shook her muddy back paw out with a small sigh.

Dawnstripe lashed her tail back and forth as padded out into the territory. Since the deputy's been rather busy being a traitor and taking in weakling behind their backs, and her mother was doing whatever, Dawnstripe had yet to get rid of her apprentice. It was beyond frustrating not knowing how to handle that brat. Perhaps she should go find her and try some battle training. With that new assessment added to become a warrior, which Dawnstripe wished they had when she was an apprentice, Thistlepaw would need the extra training if she was going to come close to standing as her equal. Still, she felt like she needed to go find her a new mentor instead of wasting time training the ungrateful mousebrain. In order to clear her head, she padded off to do some hunting.

Sagedust purred and flicked the tom with her tail, teasing, “flatterer!” The pale feline strode calmly beside Flintfreckle, swaying so that her fur would brush against the black and silver planes of his with every step. She felt incapable of being separated from him by even a mouse-length. She purred out a laugh at his assertion that he’d prefer a kit that looked like her and she mewed, “a bet than. We’ll see whether we have a kit who looks like you or me. Loser has to fetch the winner prey for a moon!” Sage turned her laughter filled green eyes onto the tom to see his reaction.

Flintfreckle padded behind his clanmates with her at his side, actually considering the proposal. “Maybe I am.” He smiled. “But only for you.” He smiled at her, playfully butting her shoulder with his head as they walked. “Deal.” He agreed after a moment of pondering. Even if there was no bet, he felt like he would do it anyways. He was glad she liked being next to him and their brushing fur brought relief and love to warm his heart. He knew, and never had a doubt, that this she-cat was the best mate he could’ve asked for. “Truthfully I don’t care what they look like.” He admitted. “They will always be ours.” Finally, he would be something some cat could look up too, and little kits always made him smile.

I better not hear of you flattering anyone but me.” A laugh rumbled in her chest as Flintfreckle agreed to her little game and Sagedust looked happily around them at the beauty of their territory. To be surrounded by wonderful nature and walking beside the tom she loved, whom she just told of their kits, created a bubble of warmth and gratitude around her. The molly nodded and purred, “they will be wonderful.” She peaceful gazed around them at the beautiful night and purred again, “I know that everything will be alright. Their announcement comes on a wonderful night and the peace of nature will love them as we do.” Many cats that Sagedust had come across in her life had thought her odd for her statements and beliefs about earth, but Sagedust was gifted with an unerring peace and those who judged her were never able to pierce the bubble of love that encompassed her every day.

Lichenpaw slipped into the territory, hoping that they could find someone to hunt with. They were still a bit new to hunting, but didn’t want to sit around doing nothing, they wanted to practice their hunting skills with someone.
