Mud bounded after her, full of energy. This was his dream! He was going to have unlimited food and a best friend! He giggled, smiling widely, "I'm so excited!" he mewed, catching up to eye.

Rye ran over to the edge of the twolegplace, pausing as she reached the end. Beforeher was a forest, and then a flatsnake. (that's what she calls thunderpaths) "There's a flatsnake!" She said, her eyes wide, and shaking a bit. "But we'll cross it." (This isn't where they get separated yet)

Mud followed behind her, "is that a flatsnake?" he asked, pointing at it with his tail. Scrunching up his nose, he added "it smell icky!" without waiting for an answer, he quickly darted across the flatsnake, his heart pounding in his chest.

Rye darted over with him, tumbling to the grass on the other side. "That was scary! Hopefully there's not anymore!" She licked Mud's head fluff, then looked into the forest.

Mud vigorously nodded, leaning into rye's side. After catching his breathe, he darted of, "you can't catch me!" he called out with a laugh. He skidded to a halt in front of another flatsnake, "silly, there's another one over here!" he exclaimed, looking back in her direction.

Rye sighed as she saw the next flatsnake. "Cmon!" She said, dashing across, but a monster passed the flatsnake just as she crossed. "Mud?" She asked, not able to see the tom-kit anymore.

Mud nodded, and watched as rye crossed the flatsnake. He squeaked when a monster passed by, and he was temporarily blinded by the dust it kicked up. Suddenly, the monster screeched to a halt, and a male twoleg stepped out of it belly and walked over to him. The twoleg bent down and picked mud up, causing him to flail around and attempt to get free, "Help! I got caught by a twoleg!" he yowled out, though he wasn't sure if anyone heard him. The twoleg carried him over to the monster, but he managed to squirm out of its large paws. Mud darted away, not really sure where he was going. All he knew was that he had to get away from the twoleg.

Rye watched as Mud was carried away by the twoleg. "Noooo!" She screamed, running after the monster. He's gone, Rye thought, the thought sinking in. Tears streamed down her cheeks as the monster went out of sight. Bye, Mud. She thought, her tears falling onto the ground. I've got to get to the clans though! She thought, fighting the urge to run the direction that the monster. She forced her paws in the direction WindClan, er the clans were. I'll miss you so much.
