Flarerunner glanced behind her, making sure Yewpaw, along with his sister, were following her. "We're nearly at the Riverclan border. Since camp is closer to Riverclan, I'll let you learn their scent and we'll head back for the day." She turned her head back in front, taking long strides until the stench of Riverclan hit her nose, and she wrinkled it. "Do you smell that?" She asked Yewpaw, wanting to make sure he had caught the scent and would remember it.

"That might be all well and fun for when you actually get into a battle but where could they ambush you?" Leopardfoot snarled, narrowing her eyes and lashing her tail.

Foxpaw flinched again "sorry, um The grass I guess?" He answered cowering from his own mentor, Foxpaw only knew of Windclan since he had lived near them but he had no knowledge of the others.

Yewpaw nodded,"I do."I can try and swim or whatever apprentices do
Quailpaw laughed," Yewpaw smells an idea of swimming!" She couldn't wait to laugh at him soaking and shivering.

Leopardfoot shook her head and sighed, "No, no, no.. They'll smell you in the grass, hide in any brambles you can find or in patches of tall heather. For Thunderclan you have many places to hide and it's the same for Shadowclan, as for Riverclan.." She trailed off as she tried to remember the night she had patrolled Riverclan with the other Dark Forest cats, "Ah, right, I remember now, hide in any trees you can find and wash your scent off in the stream."

Flarerunner shook her head. "Don't even think about it. I don't know how to swim, and I don't want us both drowning because you thought you'd like a dip in some freezing water." She gazed into Riverclan territory. "Remember the scent, that's Riverclan." She glanced up at the sky. "Well, that's been a lot of walking for today. Let's head back to camp- you can eat and rest up for tomorrow. We'll be doing hunting, as I said." She narrowed her eyes at Yewpaw. "And maybe, if you behave, I'll teach you a battle move or two." With a flick of her tail, she turned and padded in the direction of camp.

The tortoiseshell she-cat Leafecho shiverd from the cold and mewed with annoyance out loud "Its so cold!" She looked at the prey pile and took a small mouse. She gulped it down quickly before laying at the side of the clearing muttering "Running in snow is difficult and scary...I wonder how cats hunt in this condition?"

She felt snow all over her long gray spotted fur, her green eyes darted around the clearing as she growled ever so slightly from the awful cold.

Jasper stopped near the entrance. He sat beside a bush out of the way but still in the open. Where did Rabbitleap go? I was lucky enough to remember his sent. The black and white tom waited for a cat to come by or for Rabbitleap to catch up.

Flarerunner padded back into camp after her first outing with her apprentice. Well, it didn't go horribly... She noticed a new cat standing near the entrance, looking around expectantly. "Oh, hello. Are you looking for something- or someone?" She asked him. I don't recognize him... perhaps he's another rogue coming to join. She scanned around the camp, looking for Thornpelt but not able to see him. Perhaps he's out.

"You should be, you were a loner after all, you should've scented all the clans when you were, where ever you were.." Leopardfoot growled, her eyes narrowed as she sat and wrapped her tail around her paws, "Any questions about the four clans?"
