"Okay, I got it." She spotted a window full of stylized weapons-- lightswords, extra discs, and thankfully, some different kinds of staffs. Perfect!

Chris didn't see the store. He was focused on seeing an old friend of his. He kept on walking past the store, not even knowing that it was there. He hoped Skye knew to keep close.

Skye made a mental note of where Chris seemed to be headed, and hoped he wouldn't go too far. She knew that this was the only place she planned on going.

She browsed the selections of staffs, eyes falling on a sleek, jet-black but green-accented staff that looked just about the right height for Chris.

Skye stayed right outside the shop she'd gone into, after she purchased the staff, of course. She retracted it into a smaller baton, and slid it into the pocket on the side of her left calf muscle. Chris was going to love this.

Well, she hoped he would. At least it would be helpful.

She wondered why he left the area-- he told her to stay close by, but she had things to do! Didn't he know? Oh, well. Guess I'll just have to wait for him.

Golly, had it been a while. He had to be looking for her by now.

She didn't want to mix with the throng of programs around her-- but she didn't want to leave Chris all alone out there.

She took a breath, watched her six, and ventured out into the streets, calling for Chris.
