It reminded him of his old staff. "S-sure." He opened it, and it expanded in front of him. "A-a new staff? Thank you!" He hugged Skye and stood up with his new staff. He spun it a few times and pretended to hit somebody with it.

"Like it? I know it doesn't have orange on it like your old one, but I thought it would... well, that's a silly reason... I-I got the green one for you because it... looked nice." A few tiny wisps of purple shot across her face as she remembered why she'd chosen the green lightlines over the other colors-- it matched Chris' eyes. But she wasn't about to tell him that; it was way too cheesy.

"You sure? It sounds like you're hiding the true reason why. It does look very nice, but what's the true reason?" Chris saw his reflection on the staff, it did match his green eyes. Was that the reason why? He didn't know. "Can I hit you with this? I want to see how it does in combat."

Skye sighed, but put on a smile anyway. "Heh... sure." She braced herself for impact. She'd heal, but it annoyed her that she could still feel pain.

"Ow--!" she misjudged his strength and almost blacked out as she hit the ground. "That's gonna leave a mark. Hope you like your present." She rubbed her aching cranium, but gave him a grin to show she'd be okay.
