Snapping out of it , she just glared at him. "I remember that, that's I wanted him out of there! " she said with her normal voice. " And that Beta is an ISO - I... I dont exactly know why ... But its not supposed to be here...Something inside me just snapped ok?! " she shouted. She didn't know what to do, Zed seemed angry at her- " I didn't hurt anyone did I?What did I do?.. " she asked.

"He was an ISO...?" Zed's expression seemed a little less directed at Vernal. "No wonder. I don't blame your instincts. I'm sorry if I came off as harsh-- he seemed totally--" the realization hit. "Mara just rescued an ISO!"

Chris smiled, and turned into a Bit. He flew towards Skye's hands, hopeing she'll hold him. He wanted her to pet him. "Yes?"

"Aww, okay. Fine." She patted his head softly, as she'd done before, not stopping unless he told her otherwise.

Vernal gave a nod only to frown "Its ok.. And I don't know if that should be counted as something to report for to the commanders ..but.." she sighed and rubbed the back of her neck. "And I should be sorry for snapping like that.. But seriously though what should we do?" she asked.

Zed didn't want to turn his best friend in-- he knew what became of programs exposed to ISOs-- at least enough to not want it to happen to Mara. "I don't know, honestly. They could be halfway across town by now. Mara isn't one to stay away from the garage for too long. She'll be back eventually. Whether or not she'll still have the ISO is up for debate."

Chris let some purrs out. He loved her petting him, she always petted so gently... "Yes..." He stayed perfectly still.
