Pebblekit mewled, "Polite? When have I not been polite?". He did not wait any moment more, of course. He bounded out of the nursery as fast as a WindClan cat being chased by a ThunderClan warrior and leaped into the kit corner
Pebblekit burst into the kit corner and spotted Blackfir alongside a couple kits. The others kits beat him here! He ran towards Blackfir and skidded to a halt in front of him. Be polite. His mother's words echoing in his head, he dipped his head. "Sorry, I arrived a little late", He mewed. What was Blackfir supposed to teach, again? Ah, the Warrior Code! Pebblekit did know a little about the Ancient Code but he was here to learn more. He wondered how much he missed. Would Blackfir go over it again for him or just skip it?

Hurt flashed upon the she-cat’s face. Had Alderstep forgotten to ask her? Well..she shouldn’t expect any cat to ask her about her day. That was just weird. And of course. Alderstep wasn’t that type of guy who would ask you how was your day. She took a deep breath. ”hey, want to go hunting?” she offered. But she didn’t have much hope, of course. She better all the prey in the forest he would decline. Not politely, but brutal.
Firepetal took a peek at his saggy eye bags. She wondered if he was visiting the dark forest. You never know! He might be! Cats who train in the dark forest often woke up with injuries on their back and sleep deprived. Yikes. Firepetal would’ve like that.
Ospreypaw was playing with a moss ball as they were really bored.

oh look a fossil
RAHHHH (velli)
The warm presence of her mate encircling her was comforting, despite the stress of the situation. The poor kit was unconscious and bloody. Her eyes couldn't leave the site. Not even Dawnstar was this cruel... My brother did this... and I killed him. How strong of a fighter am I? The young warrior didn't get the chance to think on it too hard, Sundust was beginning to treat the kit. "Oh- uh... you wouldn't believe it if I told you. But... I h-had a brother... he was torturing this... this..." Flameheart took in a quivering breath, "My brother was torturing this kit... I... I had no choice, I had to help it... M-my..." She looked at Sootfur, tears now forming in her eyes.
"My brother's body is at the border... Sundust, I swear... I didn't mean to kill him. I... I just couldn't let him kill an innocent kit. I'm not a murderer... all I wanted was to talk to my brother and get to know him... it didn't end how I thought it would..."
Flameheart was grateful for the closeness of her mate. He was always there to support her, which was one thing she had always loved about him. She smiled warmly at him as he licked some of the blood away and licked his nose in thanks before the gray tabby stepped back. "Thank you... I'll see you later. Oh- uh, Sootfur? That warrior... he was black-furred with white specks. It's not much, but at least it can help you identify exactly who it was."
Wishing her mate good luck with a nod as he left to accompany Sparrowstar on a mini patrol, she turned her attention to Sundust. "Yeah, it did. He was fox-hearted too... thinking RiverClan was the only one starving in leaf-bare. He stole a squirrel from our territory and refused to leave. I warned him with a scratch, trying to get him to leave before we both shed blood. I had no choice but to fight him. My first dispute for prey... it was nerve-wracking... especially since it was one-on-one. I don't know his name... he never said."
Flameheart winced slightly as the medicine cat began to dress the wounds she sustained, but she blinked thankfully at him. "Thank you, Sundust. I appreciate it. Sootfur's going to the border with Sparrowstar to make sure that RiverClanner didn't come back. Do you think Sparrowstar will mention the attack to Pikestar when we go to the next Gathering?"
As the medicine cat wrapped the last cobwebs around the kit, he turned to Flameheart, who seemed more panicked than anyone else at the moment. A cold fire burned in Sundust’s heart as Flameheart began to describe the story of what happened. “You did the right thing Flameheart, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Anyone who can torture a kit, without an ounce of regret, deserves to be sent to the Dark Forest.” There was no sympathy left in the medicine cat’s heart for anyone who could fathom hurting a child. He had seen the damage the previous generation had suffered, and he was doing everything in his power to keep the newest one safe.
“Maybe,” Sundust answered with a flick of his ear. “Pikestar seems like a reasonable leader; I’m sure he’d like to know if his warriors are acting inappropriately.” He finished wrapping the wounds in cobwebs, and began to collect the extra to put back in the herb storage. “You’re leg will probably bother you for a bit; I recommend only keeping to lighter duties for about a quarter moon. Let me know if any of the wounds are excessively painful, though; otherwise, you’re free to go.”

Sundust works as delicately as he can on the kit, dabbing marigold onto the wounds then wrapping them in cobwebs. Once everything was sufficiently bandaged, he could turn his attention to how the kit got those injuries. “Now Lotuskit, you’re not in trouble, but I need you to tell me what happened. Did you sneak out of camp by yourself? Or was anyone with you?” Sundust wanted to make sure there weren’t any other kits still wandering around in the territory.

Well, normally rogues near the border wasn’t unusual. They often got cats intrigued by the clans; but rogues attacking was a different story. “I hope you’ll report this to Sparrowstar if you haven’t already.” Sundust finished wrapping the wound, and stepped back a pace. “Alright, you’re all patched up and free to go. Let me know if the cobwebs come off too soon, or if the wound starts bothering you again. Otherwise you may continue your duties.”

Crocus sighs. There it was. Well, he knew it was coming, didn't he? Not meeting Sundust's inquisitive look, the apprentice shrugs. "I was taking a walk," he begins slowly, not remembering until too late that apprentices did not typically go out alone. Oh well.
"I was taking a walk," he repeats, braced, "and ran into somebody who was not happy. They smacked me. With their claws. that's all..."
Sundust’s catbrow’s raised slightly as Crocuspaw began to give his story. Of course, apprentices weren’t allowed out of camp, but the medicine cat decided not to focus on that lecture right now. He was sure Crocuspaw had heard it before anyways. He was more intrigued by this stranger who had.. smacked Crocuspaw. “Care to elaborate on who this somebody is?” If it was a clanmate Sparrowstar needed to know, and if it was someone who wasn’t in ThunderClan Sparrowstar needed to know. “Was it someone from outside the clans?” As he spoke, Sundust continued prepping the herbs. Neither of the wounds seemed deep enough to warrant marigold, so cobwebs would do just fine for now.

Roosterflame stretched out his formerly-injured hind leg for Sundust’s easy examination, “Oh, that’s an interesting story, Sundust,” Roosterflame meowed, eyes sparkling with good humor despite just returning from a kidnapping situation, “What initially broke my leg was me falling out of a tree. Twolegs found me and brought me to their “vet”, which is a kind of medicine Twoleg that is half as careful as you, who fixed me up right quick with a kind of firm cobweb that held my leg in place. I had to stay with the twolegs for the duration of my healing, but soon enough I was healed and free to escape and come back home.”
Roosterflame yawned, scratching himself on the chin thoughtfully, “That’s the second time I’ve been kidnapped, Sundust,” He observed, “Funny.”
@noelle
Sundust would have smiled if he could. “Well, funny’s one way of putting it for sure.” His whiskers twitched with amusement. “That’s fascinating about the twoleg healers - I’ve heard of the, before, but not of the methods they use.” It seemed their healing methods were truly efficient too; Sundust could see no evidence of the previous break at all. “So you haven’t had any discomfort or anything with the leg after the twolegs tended to it?”

It wasn’t his fault, it was never his fault. He decided to be so keen on beating him, that his mind whirled with thoughts of standing over cats like a trophy. The tips of his mouth curved upwards, entering the medicine den. His nose was wafted by the scent of herbs, his face turned ugly. But kept up the act of being the victim. He flicked his tail before he leisurely sat his butt down. He would have suspected Blazingpaw to come in here just to annoy him. Sparrowstar could move them down a rank whenever she felt like it, that grasp was so far away from him.
His white paws kneaded the ground, in order to calm his anger. Sundust was one of the few cats in the clan who he.. merely respected. Not just because he’s the medicine cat, but because he doesn’t become tongue-tied with so many things. He snorted before he stated, his emerald eyes catching a glance of other cats in here. He was becoming smarter and stronger. He rasped, his imagination could not be contained any longer. He called to Sundust, hoping that the medicine cat didn’t have anything major on his plate. "Mr. Sundust, I- er- we need some help with some scars." He muttered, trying to hide his low growl.
(Hoping this goes into a posting order)

[ since the healing requests stated blazingpaw and mottlepaw were going to accompany each other to the medicine den, i’m going to reply to this operating under the assumption that blazingpaw is here too - i’ll edit my post if necessary. ]
Well, it seemed someone had gotten into a scrap. Upon first examination, the scratches seemed very superficial; some cobwebs should do. As Sundust went to fetch the cobwebs, he began speaking. “So, how did you manage to get these scratches?” Sundust had his suspicions, but he wouldn’t voice them quite yet. He wanted to see what the apprentices would say.
Stormclaw listened to sundust and with that the tom gave a nod" thank you sundust and i'll make sure to report the rogue attack to sparrowstar" the dark grey tom replied as he got up with a smile and went off
Stormpaw limped into the med den with ears flat" sundust you around just need a quick healing" he meowed" i hate having sprained paw or something" he mumbled

Great cats, Firepetal was looking at him too much. Alderstep looked up at the sky, peering at it intently. Maybe they could go hunting. Even if Firepetal was too friendly, the clan needed prey. Always. He'd never turn down an invite to hunt. He was just like that; too loyal to say no. He lowered his head with a sigh. The warrior already hated what was about to come out of his mouth. "Yes, but you better shut that mouth, or all the prey will run when they hear your pesky voice," Alderstep answered as he stood, giving himself a light shake to get some snow off of his pelt. Hopefully, new leaf would come soon. He wasn't sure how long he could stand having to sit on cold snow, or hunting in it, for that matter.
